Terri Siegel lives in a southern suburb of Atlanta with her husband Scott, two children, a
golden retriever, a Maine Coone cat, and a tortoise shell tabby cat. She is a
part- time computer consultant with her firm, PC Perspectives and a part-time practicing Audiologist with Audiological Consultants
of Atlanta. She recently co-wrote The Attic Treasure Trove, a collectors guide
to Ty Attic Treasures and is the webmaster of this site. Other areas that
Terri has managed include the Attic section of KnK
Collectibles, the Attic-Marketplace mailing lists at KnK and at onelist.com
and the only website on the Internet dedicated to The
Beverly Hillbillies.
Terri holds her Masters Degree in Audiology from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of
Arts degree from Tulane University. She is listed in the Who's Who in Medicine and
Health Care and the Who's Who in Professional Women. In addition, Terri has recently completed her
certification as a computer network administrator through Clayton State College and
University. She began collecting Attic Treasures in the Fall of 1996 soon
after she began collecting Beanie Babies. Since that time, her collection
has grown to consist of several hundred various bears and hares, monkeys, dogs,
cats, farm fowl, jungle animals, etc...
Some of the things that people don't know about Terri include that she's a
Trekkie who thinks Patrick Stewart is the sexiest thing under a bald head.
In addition, she is a closet ABC soap addict who has been following
General Hospital since 1969 and STILL tapes all four ABC soaps every day.
Mary Catherine Cochran lives in Maryland with her husband Jay and their
three children. She is one of the co- writers of the first Attics book
on the market, "The Attic Treasure Trove", and she and Terri also write a monthly
Attics column for Beanie Mania Magazine. In addition to the many fun hours spent as moderator of the Knk Attics chat list and
TheAtticsMailList@onelist.com, she is co owner of the Maison D'Ours
website with her partner in Attics, and pal, Terri Siegel.
Mary Catherine spends much of her free time as a community volunteer.
She is a past PTA president, grant writer, and technology chairperson for the local schools and is currently working on establishing funding
for an exciting historical preservation project. Her hobbies include geneology, reading (her favorite novel this year was "Angela's Ashes" by
Frank McCourt) and travel. Trips in the last few years have taken her to Australia, Hawaii and France and she looks forward to visiting
Istanbul
in the Fall.
Mary Catherine, or MaryCat as she is known in the Attics World, has her B.S. from the University Of Maryland and holds professional certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation. MaryCat began collecting Attics a few years ago and was quickly enchanted by the old fashioned flair of the bears. Her favorite Attics include humpbacked Digby, Henry, and the triplet sisters. Mary Catherine believes that truly loved Attics should not have hang tags and she removes them from the Attics in her personal collection.
Lulu Biography (picture on its
way)
My name is Louisette Lanteigne. My name gets butchered a lot so I go by Lulu. I was born in a swamp. Just kidding. (No offence to those of you
who were actually born in swamps)
I was born in Belleville Ontario Canada in 1969 and grew up in Trenton Ontario. I currently reside in Kitchener Ontario with my husband Alex,
my two daughters, two budgies and an Amazon parrot who thinks I’m it’s spouse.
I grew up always loving stuffed animals. I named them, I envisioned that each had their own personalities and I even married a man who resembles
one. He’s cute and hairy with a button nose. (Freud would have fun with me.) Now that I am a mother of two girls, my love for Stuffed toys has
rekindled to a passion.
I worked as an acting teacher for children for a number of years. I also have extensive experience in marketing and group sales for Museums and
theatres and I ran a home business with my husband. I invented toys and sold them successfully with a patent pending on my favourite design. I
have a very extensive work history mainly focused in both community and professional theatre. I am a graduate of the American Academy of
Dramatic Arts where I received a degree in Acting, which is why it was natural that I fell in love with Ty Attics. They have such character. (I
thought that was a nice “Ty” in)
I appreciate the details given to the Attic line and I have always studied them closely. As a result I was the first to report findings
such as Mackenzie Ty Attic, Mackenzie with Bearington swing tag and the new Canadian Tush tags. There are so many things happening now with Ty
Canada to promote the Attic line in here that it’s a very exciting time to observe and report.
A real benefit to being a Collector of Ty Attics in Canada, being a “Canatticfanatic”, is that interest in the Attic craze is just beginning
here and great deals and older pieces are everywhere. It’s a wonderful hobby to get into and I hope to be a great Canadian ambassador for you!
