Appare Jipangu!
Ye Olde Hikeshiya

The many adventures of the Hikeshiya, Yusura

"Appare Jipangu!" is another fantastic tale from the mind of Watase Yuu (Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres) It currently consists of two volumes and was published in Sho-Comi.

Fifteen years ago on a warm spring night, a child was left under the falling blossoms of a cherry tree. The only ones to hear the cries of the child were a pharmacist and his wife. The couple took the child into their home and raised her as their only daughter, Yusura.

As Yusura grew older, she acquired a reputation as the "Hikeshiya". Using her Kongoumaru, Yusura would eliminate sorrow from those who were suffering. Literally. With a blue light, the Kongoumaru would absorb sorrow and send it back to those who had caused the pain.

One day, as she relaxed underneath a shady tree, a fight stumbled upon Yusura. A nearsighted young man was being chased by several villainous looking fellows, so Yusura lent a hand in rescuing the youth from his pursuers. Yusura took the young man back to her home, where she learned his name was Samon. Samon was the Daimyou of Sagami. He was searching for his lady, Oteru, from whom he had been separated.

Samon and Yusura have many interesting experiences in Edo Japan. The two run across many unique characters and with their aid have even more unique and exciting adventures.
