Hungarians vary enormously in concentration from region to region

Magyars in Transylvania and Romania

Hungarians in Transylvania vary greatly in concentration. In Hargita and Kovaszna (Haromszek) counties they make up between 75 and 100% of the local population, and in towns like Kolozsvar their numbers have been drastically declining because of Romanian intimidation and harrassment. It is thought that Bukarest (Bucuresti) has a Hungarian population of around 250,000 Hungarians.
