Hungarians in Transylvania vary greatly in concentration. In Hargita and Kovaszna (Haromszek) counties they make up between 75 and 100% of the local population, and in towns like Kolozsvar their numbers have been drastically declining because of Romanian intimidation and harrassment. It is thought that Bukarest (Bucuresti) has a Hungarian population of around 250,000 Hungarians. |
