Stitches and Stuffin'
On this page you will see many different items that are stitched and stuffed...from mug rugs to dolls....to felt ornaments and pillows. I
hope you will drop by again. If you'd like any instructions for these
items, please email me or stop by my message board and leave a
post. Enjoy!
This little angel is made with a 6" square of fabric that is turned into
a yoyo for her body. Her head is 2 small pieces of fabric sewn together
to make a shape like the finger of a glove, leaving the end(neck) open to
stuff. Her head is stuffed and glued into the opening of the yoyo. Her
wings are honeysuckle vines, cut to the length you desire and wired
together in the middle..then glued with hot glue right where her head
goes in her body in the back. The star is card board...you could add any embellishment you desire.
These little mug rugs (coasters) I made for my pal, June and her hubby. She lives in Florida and you know how those iced tea glasses sweat in Florida...well, I thought she might like something that would stop it before it turned into a puddle and this is what I came up with. They are simply made like tiny quilts, the fabric and batting are thin so the glass will set level. I made a few for myself...but we use ours more for hot cocoa here in Ohio.

These pillows show 5 generations of my family. They are made using bubble jet transfer paper. The pictures were transferred to linen and sewn together with other fabric to create the pillow. They make very unique gifts.

The lace sachet bag is made from a curtain. I cut 2 heart shapes, sewed them wrong sides together, leaving an opening to turn right side out and added potpourri, finished sewing shut and added embellishments of choice. Makes a nice tuck in for swaps.
The satin sachet bag is made from wide ribbon...sewed to form a small
pillow case shape...fill with polyfil, add scent, tie top with ribbon or lace and add embellshments. Both are simple, easy and make a great little surprise.
Dolls

My bed with the pillows made from cloth napkins...mostly "no sews". My friend Bonnie K. gave me the idea last year.
More "no sew" pillows with napkins and a lace curtain vallance.
This is my version of a worry wort. I add this poem and send them to friends.
This worry wart will be your friend,
And when your day is at it's end
Just relax..........worry no more,
Cuz that's what this little wart is for.
