This snowman is made by taking a piece of felt and sewing it into a tube shape,then adding the bottom circle of fabric,using a blanket stitch...stuff him from the top...run a gather stitch and close the head...glue arms on and add hat, gloves and embellishments. His sign says "snowmen can melt your heart"...but my friend,Granny says he looks like he's saying "I Love You This Much"...and she's right...I'll change the sign next time,Granny!

I made this Snow Angel for a friend. She is about 15" long. She is wearing a blue print jumper with pretty cream lace on the bottom. She has a gray sweater and boots/socks. Peeking out at the wrist and neck is another white sweater. She is holding a wreath with a sign that reads "Snow Angel Kisses". This picture does not do it justice. I have taken another picture but have to get it developed.

The snowman ornament is made from 2 pieces ..the head and the body...the body is made by sewing 2 pieces of fabric together to make a tube sock shaped pouch...then turn it right side out..now I turn the top open edge down toward the inside of the pouch...then put a running stitch along the top to make a drawstring.

To make the head..use 2 pieces of fabric sewn together to look like a large finger of a glove...now turn right side out...slide a piece of paper between the 2 layers of fabric before you paint his face on....let dry then put a small amount of stuffing in the head til you get the look you want...put a drop of glue in the neck so the stuffing stays in the head.

Now slide the neck into the opening of the body....tie drawstring (not too tight,you'll get wrinkles). Add fabric scarf..glueing it in the front and back so it touches the head and body...this will keep the ornament together. Add buttons and embellishments of choice.

     

     

Snowmen...what else need be said...I love them and I'll make them out of any medium I can get my hands on! The one at the bottom right is made from a Milk Chug bottle...I told ya'...I'll make a snowman from anything!
