Chickens

These chickens are the combined efforts of 3 differant crafters. The chickens were an idea given to me by a friend, Cindy. Since I can't knit, I asked another friend, Patti to try...well, she did a wonderful job on the chicks. When she finished knitting them, I added eyes and beaks to all the little guys, then stuffed them and mounted them atop a textile bobbin.

I made this egg by covering a chicken egg with tiny pieces of fabric...I braided 3 strands of fabric together and coiled them to make the nest...added star buttons and curled embroidery thread for embellishments.

This chicken egg is made similar to the fabric covered egg, but it's covered with torn napkins and gold leaf.

I made and painted this to hang my hotpads on by my stove. I am really starting to LOVE chickens!
