Birdhouses

I made these 2 birdhouses from hats I got on sale.I cut a small hole in the hat for a door..I glued a perch below the hole added embellishments,a wire to hang them on the back side of the hat and hung them on the wall. They look great with our Garden Theme in the bedroom.

This is a birdhouse..like a log cabin..it's on a dowl rod. Then there are 2 textile bobbins wired together with a bow and a charm around them.

I used a paper mache' birdhouse and covered it with joint compound. Then I used very thin pieces of cedar for the roof. I then thinned acrylic paint with water to give it a washed look, like stucco. I made tiny polymer clay pieces to look like stones to put around the base of the house. I glued the house to the top of a textile bobbin and decorated it with dried flowers and a tiny piece of fence I made from broken craft sticks. I added a gold bow and use it for a decoration on my table.

I made this from a chipped teacup I had.

Randy built the birdhouse and I painted it! It hasn't had any occupants yet, but we're hoping!

This little birdhouse was a dollar store find. I brought it home, painted and embellished with dry flowers and other goodies.

I bought this, unfinished for $1.99 and painted it to go in my backyard. What a bargain...I LOVE finding good cheapies!
