Brown Bag Flag

These are some ornies I made for my 4th of July tree

Ceramic Pumpkin, lights up red

Ceramic Pumpkins and Ghosts

The jar to the left is a pickle jar that I spray painted blue, then painted the snowman on...I drilled a hole in the center of the lid...added a glass wick holder and it is filled with lamp oil. It looks neat when it's burning!

The next jar..I used contact paper to make the shape of a star...put it on the jar...then painted the jar a cream color with a sponge... after that dries...I take off the contact paper and use frosted yellow glass paint to fill in the star shape...antique the cream color paint and add embellishments. Put a tea candle inside and you get a terrific glow from the star.

The last jar or bottle...is a wine cooler bottle that I painted brown, then used crackle medium, then painted a custard color, added the snowman...wrapped the top with twine...added a ceramic wick holder, filled with lamp oil.

The wooden star ornie I painted white first, then I stamped the snowman on and filled him in with a small paint brush and gel pens...I used a gold leaf pen to make the design around the edge of the star... and brown chalk to darken the edges. I made the pine cone ornie by gluing the ribbon hanger on first...then added snow and bird. I stuck little flowers, etc., into the snow while it was still wet. The Worry Wort was an idea given to me by my friend,Granny...I just added some hair!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORRY WART

It is made out of a nylon stocking. A circle stuffed with cotton about 1 - 1 1/2 inches across, gathered at the top and tied with small bit of ribbon. Two tiny eyes glued onto it. Poem attatched.

Worry Wart

This worry wart will be your friend,
And when your day is at it's end
Just relax..........worry no more,
Cuz that's what this little wart is for.

This is a Pringle's can covered with wallpaper...I used glue to adhere it to the can and double sided tape to add the wallpaper border around the middle...with the new wallpaper...it is hard to make i adhere to itself with glue. I covered the plastic lid with twine by hot glueing it to the lid in a circle...added embellishments. I use mine for paint brushes..my friend granny uses hers for crochet needles.

The wire Angel was something I had seen on TV and just gave it a try. The Pinecone Santa was something I did with polymer clay for face and snow for his beard. The hat was a scrap of fabric.

Crackled picture frame I painted

This frame was done with a crackle finish...I stenciled the strawberries and leaves on and sealed.
