Customs/Resins I Own by Other Artists

Snowbound - Chaney Mini Welsh Sec. C in dapple grey

This is my collection of models by artists other than myself. I just want to say it's really exciting for me to see my herd grow into my dream showstring. Each horse is bought because I find it perfect for my tastes and cannot imagine having a different one. I am very picky, which helps because I try not to spend any more money on the hobby than I make through it - mostly by making and selling Stablemate and Micro Mini Tack! Each one has a special place in my heart, and thanks goes out to all their old owners for letting me get them! I have them listed here in the order I got them.

NONE ARE FOR SALE!!

(Click the pictures to enlarge them.)

Jitterbug

This is the first model I got by anyone else. Frosted, one of my own CMs, won her at a show when he took DCM/AR Grand Champion! She is the SM-sized ARC resin foal' painted by Darian Buckles' and donated to the show by Gail Berg. She has NAN qualified in halter as an Araloosa foal at the Autumn Classic 2000! She shows moderately well and has NAN'd for NAN '02.

Go Platinum

Finally! After a few deals gone bad I've got a Bolero resin - and he's not getting away! He is the SM-sized Bolero Resin by D'Arry Jone Frank and painted by Claire Reiger of Upeikan Studios, who also let me use this photo. He is everything I hoped for! The paint job is wonderful and his white markings SUPURB! He came to me NAN qualified, too! For me he shows pretty well, and if there's any other Boleros in his class he's usually the one to place.

Duana

SM CM Quarter Horse Mare by Shelly Nelson (was Shelly Satin). Came to me NAN qualified in halter as a Haflinger and in performance, too! She has the sweetest face and is the perfect kid's pony. She could do anything in performance! Photo by M.L. Carpenter.
For me she has NAN'd again in halter, and NAN'd in trail, too! She places pretty consistently in western pleasure and trail.

MN Texas Star

(That's the name she came with.) She is the SM-sized MN Reah resin, #1 in the edition, made and painted in 1997 by Michelle Beisle Locke! Her coloring is a little duskier than this, but her tones show up in the sun more like in the photo. I just always wanted this resin and am so glad to finally have one - you don't see too many of these for sale! Photo by Magner.
She shows okay, and NAN'd once (2nd out of 3 horses, though!).

Troll

She is the little bigger than SM-sized resin "Wee One" by Candace Liddy and painted by Chris Nandell. I really love the paint job - it's very soft and smooth, real babyish! She has NAN qualified twice for me.

Gold Card (the one in front)

Bolero resin painted by Laurie Jo Jensen in 1999 to a buckskin tobiano. I never dreamt I would have more than one Bolero (well, okay, I did dream, but I didn't think it'd come true!)! Since my first Bolero came with the name 'Go Platinum', I thought I'd follow suit with this guy and call him 'Gold Card'! He is shown in this picture with Go Platinum in the back - I have not taken a good picture of him by himself, and this one is so cute! He usually doesn't place in shows, though...

Que Sera Sera (accents above first the first E and two A's)

Her name means in spanish "Whatever will be, will be", since this resin was meant to be with me! I never thought I get one of these after falling in love with the one at the NAN 2000 auction that went for more than I wanted to pay! This is a dream come true! She is the "Mira" resin sculpted and painted by Laura Behning in 2000. Only 5 resins were made, and this one is #4 in dark dapple rose grey. She is absolutely gorgeous! When I recieve her, she had a crack all the way from her throat, down through between her forelegs and halfway down her belly. So I epoxied, sanded, and repainted that little part (with permission from Laura) and she is all fine and dandy now! She doesn't show that well, either, though...but I still love her cuz she's Mira!

Here is her lovely face. I want to thank her ex-owner for parting with her and waiting for over 2 months through my himming and hawing to actually buying her! She was worth every penny!

Electric Avenue

This is the SM Seabiscuit customized and repainted/etched by Shannon Keitel-Andrews in 2001. Her has had her head tucked, and ear flicked back, left foreleg raised into a more airy gallop, and a new mane a tail sculpted. She is absolutely darling - can't you just see her zooming around a little barrel? The photos were taken by L.M..

Thornberry

Bramble SM Resin sculpted by Lesli Kathman and painted to a silver dapple or dark palomino (I'm not quite sure which) by Lisa Rivera in 1998. I am so, so happy I finally have one of these cuties! She is just adorable! NAN qualified by a previous owner as a British Shetland Pony under the name NEE-HI (Isn't that cute? I didn't know if I was going to rename her or not but when I thought of Thornberry is just stuck!).

Nadeem (Arabic for "friend")

This is a really neat SM Arabian Stallion resin that was cast as the MAR 2001 show special. This guy was painted a lovely bay by Ronni Marcum and has never been shown (yet!). I just really like this resin and think the way he is walking is very realistic, like he's just going along but something suddenly caught his eye.

Glory Days

Animal Artistry/Chaney Mini Tennessee Walking Horse painted by an unknown artist to a just gorgeous dapple grey. I've always wanted one of these guys but never found "the perfect one" until this one showed up. He came to me already NAN qualified.

Snowbound

This is the Chaney Mini Welsh C painted by AA in dapple grey. I have liked this resin for a long time and finally found one painted in a way I really like, and couldn't pass him up!

Bellamia

Bellamia is the extraordinary slightly-larger-than-SM-sized warmblood mare resin by Carlee Balling. She is one of the artist choice horses painted by Carlee to a smutty dapple palomino with a star and two socks. Her coloring is gorgeous and her details are incredible - I can't praise Carlee's work enough! These pictures were taken with a digital camera so they tend to wash out the extreme details.
