Fabulous site which makes me wistful. A few historical errors, but that's because this amazing gentleman has never been to Chicago.

Chicago information

Chicago had 2,896,016 residents when the 2000 Census was taken.
It has 29 miles of shoreline and it is 578.5 feet above sea level.
It has 46 moveable bridges, though it once had 52. (Some aren't movable anymore.)
It was incorporated as a town in 1833, and became a city in 1837.
