Well, after the OJ fiasco, my mind turned to the oft-thought of
topic of the boss. Confucius said that a boss should be
benevolent and fair, while subordinates should be reverent and
obedient. The emphasis, of course, is on "should". Thus, in an
ode to my boss from last summer, who obviously never paid any
attention to Confucius...
OUR BOSS JEFF
{Sung to the tune of "Closing Time" by Semisonic, and with
apoligies to 96.5 WTIC FM. Wouldn't want to have a completely
original though now, would I?}
{By the by, Jeff was nowhere near this bad, but the song's
funnier if I exaggerate.}
Our Boss Jeff,
He beats on us with a stick
And he doesn't pay us worth a crap.
Our Boss Jeff,
He's verbally abusive
I should spill hot coffee in his lap.
Our Boss Jeff,
He makes us do his job
While he goes home and has a drink.
Our Boss Jeff,
He listens to Rush Limbaugh,
Which is the most irritating thing.
[Chorus]
I know that I want to quit this job!
I know that I want to quit this job!
I know that I want to quit this job!
Quit this job, soon...
Our Boss Jeff,
He just saw what I'm writing
I think that my job's shot to hell.
Our Boss Jeff,
I don't really want to work here
So I suppose that it's all just as well.
His face is getting redder,
He's cursing like a sailor,
I'm glad that the doors are locked.
Our Boss Jeff,
I still need this job's money
So I guess that I'm completely f*cked.
[Chorus]
Our Boss Jeff,
I still need this job's money
So I guess that I'm completely f*cked.
[Chorus]
Our Boss Jeff,
He beats on us with a stick
And he doesn't pay us worth a crap...
