advanced dungeons & dragons
(Meet Smaug - the dragon-slayer-slayer.)
Lizardmen Revisited
A new race/monster for AD&D, designed to more closesly fit my personal interpretation of what the lizardman race should be like. Instead of swamp-ridden semi-amphibians, these are desert inhabitants with a sharply metahuman level of intellect. (Granted, Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume Three has the Firenewt... but I typed this up first, and I kinda like 'em better.)
Shapechanger Class
Created via the rules in the DMG, my personal take on a shapechanger class. (This is only the "bare-bones" writeup... as soon as I get more free time, I'll expand this somewhat.) They might not have the magical powers (or wacky experience levels) of druids, but they can also pull shapechanging tricks that would send druids reeling. How'd you like to shapeshift into a dragon - and breathe the fire, too?
Dragonlance: Fifth Age
(Might Fenrir and Lord Soth be cousins?)
The Dragonspawn
Based off of The Rising Storm adventure, this is an article that expands upon the roots of the dragonspawn extensively, providing new monsters, orginizations, and artifacts. Although it's not a necessary little tweak to Dragonlance chronology, I have a soft spot in my heart for draconians. (This is due for an update, mostly on the Blacks - I need to work out rules for Sable's snake-armed mutants, now that I've finished with Rabe's trilogy.)
Final Fantasy RPG
(Try taking on Shinryu without the godlike Job System!)
Revisions to Limit Break Design System
Possible revisions to the existing Limit Break Design System as pioneered by Rob Pool, with a variety of newer options that help open things up and some sample Breaks to help new designers out. This is the old version, as it doesn't account for the MDC rules, so I'll be updating it in the near future for the MDC system. I also plan on eventually including rules for FFVIII-style Breaks, since this file is still very FFVII-centric.
Star Trek: The Next Generation RPG
Maquis-Class Starship
The Federation's latest weapon in the fight against the Borg, this new class of ship, based loosely off of the Galaxy-Class ships, is everything a frigate should be: fast, armored, and armed. (Admittedly something of an übership, yes, but if you plan on running into the Borg a lot - well, it still won't do much, but you might live to see the end credits!)
Thrash
Mecha Thrash
Taken over from Rob Pool (although without official sanction - he basically threw it to whoever), this sourcebook is designed to allow access to the various combat mecha seen so often in anime - and anime is what Thrash is about, right? Integrates lots of material, including Xenogears, Robotech, and the absolutely incredible 2D fighter Gundam Wing: Endless Duel.
Break Mecha Thrash!
The second ET challenge! It's other people's imaginations versus the goliath that is Mecha Thrash! If you think you've got the idea that can't be done with MT, then come on and tell me where to stick it! Still running!
World of Darkness
(Poor Caine... we don't drool at V:tM as much as the rest of the world...)
The Thespians
A quasi-tradition for Mage: The Ascension, the Thespians could easily be a study in what happens when you mix over-depressed Cultists and over-active Hermetics on the same stage. With the release (and my subsequent purchase) of the unbelievably gorgeous 3rd Ed, this is due for some updates (at the least, to explain how it managed to avoid getting completely smeared by the Technocracy recently).
Union of Revelation
Another quasi-tradition for Mage: The Ascension, the Union is a splinter group of the Order of Hermes with some rather... unique... views on helping the Sleepers Ascend, and a group strongly influenced by... the Marauders? (You know that ain't normal.) Again, due for an update, possibly including an alternative to the Marauder's Quiet-shielding from Paradox to replicate the Union's anti-Paradox training. (Of course, it will have to be similarly hindering...)
ET Mascot Bygones
You knew it was coming, didn't you? Using the rules from Bygone Bestiary (a very nice book, even if you don't really use White Wolf's "fantasy" line), here are the stats for all of the Electronic Transcendence semi-mascots in no particular order whatsoever. Note that these aren't beginning characters, so don't try to do the math. (Still in the works. Sorry.)
