utopia at siege

The last thing IceBreaker remembered was getting in the statis pod and feeling relaxed for the first time since he was created. He even remembered the dream he had. It was so realistic. It was about a planet that had not been discovered and the Axalon had crashed on top of a beautiful waterfall. The next moment he was awake and bewildered as he sat up and looked around.

Where am I? he pondered.

The view was spectacular. He was surrounded by blueish liquid. With another glance he saw a biological lifeform. Scaning his data network, he saw that it was a seal.

"Greetings," said an unknown voice.

"Who is there?" replied IceBreaker, as he turned to the source of the voice.

"I am Optimus Primal, leader of the Maximals," said the strange Maximal hovering in front of him.

"I...I am IceBreaker, scientist," said IceBreaker.

"You may want to try your beast form out."

IceBreaker nervously transformed into a replica of the seal he saw earlier. "Ah, an excellent selection," said Optimus Primal.

"I feel so weird in this form," replied IceBreaker.

"It will take some getting used to."

"....so that concludes the tour of the base," said Optimus Primal as they reached the bridge with Rhinox at his station.

"I don't feel so well...." replied IceBreaker.

As surges of electricy surounded him, IceBreaker started sceaming in pain, cluching his stomach as he keeled over.

Rhinox came running over with a sensor array. As he starts scanning IceBreaker with the sensor array, it started beeping wildly. "This is strange. The readout says that he is dividing as in cellular division," said Rhinox still looking at the readout, then looked at Optimus Prime and said, "IceBreaker to divide!"

IceBreaker's 10 foot frame was rapidly shrinking and started to change. After few minutes IceBreaker form disappeared and in his place were two 5 foot robots. They were almost identical to IceBreaker except one was a little more bluish than the other.

"Incredible, two exact duplicates," said Optimus.

"What...what... what happened to....?" said the duplicates at the same time.

Optimus and Rhinox looked at each other as they searched for an explanation while the duplicates observed each other. "Should we tell them?" said Rhinox, looking at Optimus.

"Might as well."

"Tell us what?" replied one of robots.

"That you were created from IceBreaker."

"Who do you mean IceBreaker?" replied the other robot. "I am Wind Breaker and he is Ice Storm."

At that very second, Ice Storm and Wind Breaker were rendered inactive. There was a flash of blinding light. Ice Storm and Wind Breaker's forms fused and IceBreaker's 10 foot body reappeared. "Wha....what...what happened?" said the newly formed IceBreaker.

"You divided into two alternate forms that called themselves Ice Storm and Wind Breaker. It must of happened when your statis pod passed through a energon field, causing a dividing of the your spark," exclaimed Rhinox.

"With some experince you could master the seperation process," replied Optimus Primal.

IceBreaker repeated the process again without keeling over in pain and formed Ice Storm and Wind Breaker. They then combined into IceBreaker without being deactivated. This processes was repeated many times. Finally the process stops with the forms of Ice Storm and Wind Breaker looking at each other and then at Rhinox and Optimus Primal. "We understand now. We are scientist IceBreaker, Ice Storm, and Wind Breaker, one and the same," said both Ice Storm and Wind Breaker simultaneously.

"Finally, some assistance! I have been behind in my work on this world for the past 5 months," exclaimed Rhinox.

"I was hoping a skilled scientist could help us understand this planet," replied Optimus Primal.

Ice Storm and Wind Breaker merged into IceBreaker and walked over to the monitor displaying the map of the planet. IceBreaker blinked and turned to Rhinox and Optimus Primal.

"I'll need a work area. Somewhere that is well defended and nearby," said IceBreaker.

"That can be arranged, right Rhinox?" said Optimus Primal.

"I'll see if that can be built. Here, choose one of these sites," said Rhinox as he pulled up a map of choosen sites around the world.

"That one," replied IceBreaker as he pointed at a undersea location. "I'll need lots of parts and help".

"I'll send CyberShark to help," said Optimus Primal.

"I'll help. Where are its blueprints?" exclamed Rhinox.

IceBreaker walks over over to the map and picks up a linkup cable and places it in the side of his head. Instantly a diagram of the blueprints appears in front of the map.

"Incredible! A self-contained undersea base with living spaces and repair bay," exclaimed Optimus Primal. "You have out done yourself!".

Two months later, with the undersea base completed and radio relay activated, IceBreaker started his experiments and research on the planet with Rhinox, pausing only for intense battles. Two weeks later, Rhinox left for the Axalon but sends weekly radio messeges to him.

As four months pass by, many battles have gone by, Rhinox sends a messege saying Optimus is coming with two others. IceBreaker readies the base for their arrival and prepares the Lift (a type of elevator). The Lift goes up and comes down with Optimus Primal and two others.

"Welcome to Utopia, Optimus," said IceBreaker

"Hello IceBreaker, here meet Airazor and Tigertron," replied Optimus pointing to the to robots behind him.

"Welcome, both of you," said IceBreaker,"make yourself at home."

"Now I meet the great IceBreaker and his undersea base," said Tigertron oked at Airazor and walked over to the viewing area of the sea. "Now I meet the beauty of the sea!"

"What brings you to Utopia, Optimus?" asks IceBreaker as he turned to face him and Airazor.

"I came to see how you are doing and look over your expirements and base,"said Optimus Primal.

"As you wish. Would you and Airazor like to be shown the living quarters or my laboratory?" asks IceBreaker.

Optimus Primal and Airazor looked at each other and then at IceBreaker as they said..

"Both."

"Wait a minute," replies IceBreaker as he seperates into Ice Storm and Wind Breaker. "Who wants to the lab and who would like to see the quarters?"

"I'll go to the quarters," said Airazor.

"Then let me escort you," replied Wind Breaker as he started walking down a hallway facing north," This way, my lady!".

"This way Optimus," said Ice Storm walking to another hallway in the opposite direction.

Optimus Primal and Airazor looked at each other and followed their escorts down the hallways. The hallway that Ice Storm had follow lead to a large domed room containing many wonders. There were blueprints and readouts scattered all over. On many of the moniters were maps that showed key locations and research data. In middle of the room, there was a large test-tube container holding a large piece of energon in a vast array of liquids.

"What is that?" asked Optimus Primal in bewilderment.

"Ohh...that is my experiment on this world's energon...," said Ice Storm as he turned to face Optimus. He quickly turn to look at one of the moniters displaying the base's interior view, "Where did your friend.....what was his name....ah,Tigatron go?"

"He went to go see the viewing area," said Optimus Primal.

Meanwhile in the other hallway, Wind Breaker showed Airazor the base's entertainment area that was near the living quarters.

"And this is the Rec room," said Wind Breaker as he pointed at a large room. "There are four on this station, each placed near the living quarters. Now over here is the Mess room, the Armory and some viewing areas," as he motioned at the farther head. "Over here is a terminal. It will show anything you want like your location or where something is," said Wind Breaker as he pointed at the terminal. "Now up a head are the living quarters...here are yours," said Wind Breaker," I hope you enjoy them."

"Thanks for the tour, Wind Breaker" replied Airazor.

"The pleasure was mine," said Wind Breaker as Airazor walked in to her quarters. He started walking away down the hallway, when he said to himself, "It is nice to see new faces....what the...?"

As he looked at a terminal showing scanner screen, there where four blips on the screen! Wind Breaker activated the terminal's audio system. "Ice Storm, are we excepting any more guests today?"

From the lab come a voice. "No, according to Optimus. They're the only ones who were coming... why?" said Ice Storm over the audio system.

"Because we have four uninvited guests showing up on scanners!"

"This is unexpected but not unplanned. Gather up Tigatron and Airazor and take them to the Armory and prepare to repel invaders!" exclaimed Ice Storm as he turned to glance at Optimus. Ice Storm turned to the terminal and said, "Give me a visual of these objects on the radar."

The terminal responded and displayed the forms of Terrorsaur and Waspinator carrying Blackarachnia and Scorponok to the position of the Lift. Ice Storm called Wind Breaker and said, "It's the Predacons and they're coming down in Lift, meet me and Optimus at the Lift."

Ten minutes later at the Lift, Ice Storm, Wind Breaker, and Optimus considered their options and plans when Ice Storm said to Wind Breaker, "I think it is time for program 96 Delta 86."

"Yes, I think it is an excellent time to test it out," said Wind Breaker.

"Excuse my asking, but what are you two talking about?" said Optimus Primal.

"Ohh...I forgot to tell you about the program. It seals the base in case of a attack, activates our rapid firing compressed laser guns stationed in all the rooms and hallways and shuts down all the terminals and computer but allows only me and Wind Breaker access," replied Ice Storm. "It also activates the blast shields in all the hallways."

"Ok people, let's get ready to defend this base! Program 96 Delta 86!" said Wind Breaker as everyone got behind the blast shields and prepared to fight.

That same moment on the Lift, Waspinator, Terrorsaur, Scorponok,and Blackarachnia prepared for defenders when Waspinator said, "Wazzpinator hatezz the zzea, why do we have to do thizz mizzion?"

"Would you shut up! You have been complaining ever since we left the base," said Terrorsaur.

"Would you two shut up! We're here to invade this place, not to chat them to death!" said Blackarachnia.

As Blackarachnia finished talking, the Lift slowed down and stopped in a large room that had three hallways. The hallways were blocked half way. Blackarachnia inspected the room for cover. "Leave this base now, you slagging Predacons," said a stranger," or be destroyed!"

"Why don't you show yourself rather than hiding like a coward!" replied Scorponok, arming his missiles.

"Why not come and get me instead!" said the same voice.

"Ok, lets go down this hallway first," said Terrorsaur as he pointedat the hallway leading to the Lab.

As they crawled across the barriers, a burst of laser beams seared through the hallway at them! Blackarachnia and Terrorsaur ducked between the barriers as Scorponok gets behind Waspinator as laser beams hit his arm. "Ahh...Wazzpinator in pain!"

"We're getting nowhere with laser beams pummeling us!" said Scorponok as he activated his missiles and fired at the source of the laser beams.

The missle zoomed down the hallway towards the laser beams withthe four Predacons looking in earnest for the forecoming explosion. In matter of minutes, the result was a large flash of light and a throom eminating from the source of the beams. At the same time in the Lab ,Ic eStorm and Optimus looked at the laser gun and at each other when Ice Storm said, "I think we're in trouble!"

He activated his comm radio. "Wind Breaker! The Preds have knocked out the laser gun in the Lab. We're going to need back up real fast!"

"Will do", came the response.

"Look one of us needs to hold them off. Let me do it," said Ice Storm as he turned to Optimus. "Take the shaft over there. It leads to the Lift."

"No, I should," replied Optimus Primal.

"Now look Optimus, you're more vaulable to the us. You're our leader and I am a soldier. I would give my life to protect you. So go now!" Optimus acknowleged and crawled through the shaft as Ice Storm prepared to fight the Predacons.

Ice Storm activated his seven hidden missile launchers and laser guns and aimed them at the hallway. "Take this, you Preds!" said Ice Storm as he fired his weapons. The response was a volley of missiles and laser fire. Charging Predacons came through the hallway and surrounded him. Ice Storm clipped Waspinater's wings and downed Terrorsaur with two shots. Turning his attention to Scorponok left him open for Blackarachnia to strike! She transformed into a black widow spider and leaped on Ice Storm's back! "Get off me!" said Ice Storm, as Blackarachnia sunk her mandibles into his neck. "Ahhhh!"

In the shaft, Optimus heard Ice Storm's scream, but continued crawling knowing if he went back he would in grave danger. Farther down the hallway, the other Maximals also heard the scream. In the Lab, Ice Storm had collapsed and Blackarachnia had removed herself from him as she put him in a statis web, she then started blocking the hallway with webs and sets up a shield generator at the end of the hallway. "Now we won't be bothered for some time!" said Blackarachnia, as she scanned the terminals while Scorponck checked Waspinator and Terrorsaur to see if they were ok.

"Wazzpinator getting zzzzea zzzzick!" said Waspinator.

"Would you shut up?!?" replied Terrorsaur, holding his head.

"Any luck?" said Scorponok, looking at Blackarachnia.

"None. The terminals have been locked out. We need a password to get in, and it may take a while to crack it," replied Blackarachnia as she turned to the paralyzed Ice Storm. "Maybe I could get it from him!"

"How? Ice Storm must have millions of complex cerbal pathways. You'll never find it!" said Scorponok.

Ignoring him, Blackarachnia walked up to Ice Storm in the statis web. She produced a cerbal link visor and attached the cord to the sideof Ice Storm's head. Instantly, she was in. The pathways took the form of the Lab. She explored looking for the password to the terminals. She found scientific work, program data for the combining of IceBreaker, and past memories including a mermory of a former girlfriend.

Interested, Black Arachnia looked in on this area of his cerbal pathways. She found the data on the female. Her name was Sea Search, a hostile environmental specialist. She was a compationate type. Blackarachnia discovered something really intresting. In the file on Sea Search, it said that SeaSearch and IceBreaker were both on the Axalon together!

Blackarachnia copied the file and continued searching for the password. She felt something draw her back into the file on Sea Search. When she entered the file, she saw a memory file being played. She watched the memory when it stopped and another started.

This one was dealt with IceBreaker and Sea Search. They were injured and IceBreaker was carrying her to the CR chamber..

"Don't worry those hooligan Predacons won't find us. We're safe here," said IceBreaker as he put Sea Search in a CR chamber and turned to a Maximal. "Thanks, old friend. The Preds bombed the cafe. SeaSearch and I escaped but were beaten by the preds outside. We barely made it back!"

Instantly, Blackarachnia recognized the other Maximal. It was Rhinox! As she continued to watch, Rhinox placed IceBreaker in the other CR.

Minutes later, the scene opened with both Sea Search and IceBreaker were looking at a stranger. "Who..who are you?" asked Sea Search.

"I am Optimus Primal. I command a ship," said the stranger. "My friendhere told me you two are a scientist and a specialist. I need such people for my ship. Would you mind joining?"

"I... we... need time to decide," replied IceBreaker.

"Ok. I'll be back tomorrow. Tell me then," said Optimus.

The next day, Optimus arrived when IceBreaker and Sea Search made their decision. "We'll go" they said.

"Great! We leave on the ship Axalon tomorrow," said Optimus Primal. "Feel free to come early; the ship is ready to board."

As he left, Sea Search gathered up her possesions. When she finished packing, they left for the ship.

The ship had a enlistment terminal. They walked up and enlisted and entered the ship. On board, they met two other crew members as they headed to their quarters. As they finished unpacking, they recieved a call from Optimus asking them to meet in the statis pod room.

When they got there, Optimus greeted them. Minutes later, Sea Search and IceBreaker stepped into their pods and prepared for deactivation.

Blackarachnia wondered what happened to Sea Search. Suddenly found the password. She located it when she saw IceBreaker's face appear and speak: "Who are are you?"

"I am Blackarachnia, Predacon," said Blackarachnia, looking for the source of the voice.

"Predacon... activating program... Transfer virus on foreign user..." said the voice.

"I know about Sea Search!" replied Blackarachnia as she stalled for time to counter the virus.

"You know? Scanning user's cerbal pathways. User's cerbal pathways identifed as Predacon: Blackarachnia," said the voice.

Instantly, Blackarachnia shut down, terminated the virus and left, but not before creating a rememberance of her visit. She took the cerbal link visor off and she looked at the face of Scorponok.

"Well, did you get it?" he said.

"Yes, and found something interesting," said Blackarachnia as she walked over to the terminal. "Have the other Maximals breached the barriers yet, Scorponok?"

"Not yet." replied Scorponok.

Elsewhere on the base, Wind Breaker activated a terminal. Suddenly he felt strange, but continued working on the terminal. On the terminal's moniter was a control menu displayed for the Lab. He touched a button that shuts down the power flow to the Lab. Then he pulled up a map of the base.

"Wind Breaker, the hallway has been barricaded," said Airazor.

"We need to get in there and help Ice Storm," said Optimus Primal as he turned to Wind Breaker. "Any alternate routes?"

"Yes, we will go in here, a service tunnel, and come out behind them," said Wind Breaker as he pointed on the map.

Minutes later, as they headed down the tunnel, they armed their weapons. They reach the end as they prepare to receive laser fire.

"Charge!!!" said Optimus Primal as they charged into the room.

The Predacons, startled, fired on the Maximals, backing up looking for cover. Wind Breaker ran in blasting Waspinator as he spotted Ice Storm in the statis web.

"What did you do to him?" said a frenzied Wind Breaker as he tackled Blackarachnia.

"Get off me!" said Blackarachnia as she kicked him in the head.

"I'll make you pay, Pred!" came the reply as he still held on and started pummeling her.

"Take this then!" said Blackarachnia as she fired her muti-leg attack, shattering most of Wind Breaker's face and arm. He stilled kept on coming.

Trying desperately to rid herself of him she transformed and flipped him. Before Wind Breaker could strike back, Blackarachnia jumped on his chest and sank her mandibles into his face. Without a word, he pulled out a rail gun and blasted her into submission. Turning to the other Predacons, he saw they had picked up Blackarachnia and crashed through the barricade to the Lift and escaped.

As Airazor and Tigertron freed Ice Storm, Optimus ran over to Wind Breaker as he drops the gun."Guess I showed those Preds, right Optimusss..." said Wind Breaker as the cyber venom took over.

Ten months later, the base is reconstructed, and Ice Storm and Wind Breaker, also repaired, head to the Axalon to see Optimus. On the way over, they combine into IceBreaker and memories are shared.

Inside, Maximals greet him as he heads to see Optimus. They talked about past experinces and new projects including having him stay for a month at the Axalon.

Later, IceBreaker and Rhinox discussed ideas when he brought up Sea Search. They pause to think what happened to her. IceBreaker accessed the file that Blackarachnia left, which was her entire memory file and consciousness.

Elsewhere at the Predacon base, Blackarachnia was reading his memory file and consciousness data. Both were wondering where Sea Search was.

In the sky above, a shooting star lights the night sky.
