**NEW!!** Another Halloween. It's supposed to be a quiet time for the Slayer, but like usual, it's not. Buffy is kept hopping in the Magic Box helping out during Anya's big Halloween sale. Spike shows and invites her to go on patrol, but Buffy stays to help her friends. After the store closes and the gang is recovering (and Anya is teaching Dawn her money dance) Xander decides the time is right to announce his and Anya's engagement. Willow disturbs Tara by using a spell to decorate for the impromptu engagement party instead of just going and buying some stuff. Dawn leaves, reminding Buffy that she was going to spend the night with her friend, Janice. Meanwhile, Janice has told her parents that she's spending the night at Dawn's. Dawn and Janice meet two boys in the park with plans to spend a rebellious night pranking and making out. Janice's mom calls Buffy's house and the jig is up. The gang spread out to hunt for the wayward Dawn. Willow and Tara check out the Bronze, where Willow is ready to do a spell to shift everyone who's not a fifteen year-old girl into another dimension for a second so they can spot her in the crowd if she's there. Willow's casual attitude about using such a spell again disturbs Tara and they have a fight. Tara leaves. Meanwhile, Giles discovers where the boys, who turn out to be vampires, have taken Dawn and Janice to park. He stakes one and is ready to stake the other when he realizes that he's surrounded. Lots of vamps have decided to go out parking with victims this night, despite the fact that they're supposed to lay low. Luckily Spike and Buffy arrive and together with Giles, they stake or drive off the vamps. With everyone safe and sound back at Buffy's, Tara is still upset with Willow until Willow performs a spell to make Tara forget the argument.
