Belarussian News for Feb. 8, 2007
The planning for the return of our Belarussian Children for the
summer of 2007 is underway. This is our 11th year and God has truly
touched and blessed the lives of our host families as well as the lives
of our Belarussian children and their families.
Our host families are solely responsible for raising the money
for the expense of getting their child here along with providing for
all of their needs while they are here for six weeks. The estimated
cost this year is $1,500 per child. The money
budgeted for our mission covers the cost of our chaperone's stay.
Our first fundraiser is going to be a Pancake Supper on Shrove
Tuesday, February 20th from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. We are also in the
process of planning another Steak Dinner sometime in March or April.
The monies from these Fund Raisers go to offset the cost of our Sunday
School, Day Camp, and any unexpected expense to a host family member. A
list of our host families will be published next month.
