Carrying
on right behind me were some v.enthusiastic moshers, of whom I did well
to
keep out of the way.
Bassist
bloke, laying down the lines in his own
way
as the guitarist alongside him did riffs aplenty. Not much of a surprise,
as they were belting out Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid' in the summer evening.
More
moshing going on (despite looking a little
too
brutal for my liking, the atmosphere was still good-natured). Just behind
the stage, I saw the
lead
singer from the UK Subs posing for pics
with
9-10 year-old kids, while their mohicaned parents looked on, faces beaming
with pride
(who'd
have ever thought that punk would
have
gotten respectable these days?).
