Olympic Treasure Hunt

The Olympic Treasure hunt was the second event of summer 2000 to be held at  Lewis Carroll library, and in exchange for some pretty decent prizes, local children's powers of observation and sporting general knowledge were given a little exercise. As always, I brought along my trusty compact camera to record events, and here's the pics I took that hot August afternoon. In the first of the two snaps below, we see Jackie, Selina and DiDi keeping it in the family and pondering together over one of many questions set by Sharon and Steve, while in the second one, Adam chips in with an opinion or two
as Toni and Yori look on from behind him.

As it was a treasure hunt, this next pic has the kids looking for clues to answer another question of Sharon's to bolster their score. It got a little crowded in that corner of the library.

Here's another of my favourite pics I took during the summer, and it features young Shayma getting some help from her mother, while her two older brothers were round the corner looking for clues. In the pic below this one, Gaziul ponders as his brother Naziul jots down an answer on his sheet.

Toni and Yori scribble down their answers
while Steve hints Brinkley and
Brogan in the right direction.

Cameron waves towards the camera as his friend Jamie discusses an answer with Gaziul and
Naziul (he could pass for Michael Owen in
his England shirt, don't you think?).

Here's Shayma again, and as big brothers Hamza and Mohamed busy themselves with the questions
on their sheets, Mum helps out with hers.
