Ahmad and James chat and busy themselves.
Here's another pic of some kids who drew on the floor as there were no tables available. Dawit (who's an excellent drawer for his age) drew a lovely mini-poster of Pinocchio that's on a wall next to the counter desk, while his little brother Daniel (who likes to come up to the counter with an empty video case in his hands and say "Waaaassssuuup!" or "bideo" while sticking his tongue out at Steve and myself) looks up him, felt-tipped marker in hand.
Saffron colours in her 'Spot' sheet. Her mother's a bit of an artist, and she v.kindly put up the address of my site up on the noticeboard of the local college she attends for anyone who wanted to copy crowd scenes in their artwork as she liked my photos.
Those kids who'd finished colouring their sheets then had the task of creating an Xmas card, based on the designs as seen below. Plenty of glitter was used by the children present (as I found out, judging from the amount that was on my jumper and boots going back to Tottenham that evening on the train).
Krystal,
Dean and Alima pose as only they can in the pic below. Even though I tried
to catch them unawares, they always seemed to know that I was around (due,
in no small part, to Ahmad alerting them of my presence) - who needs radar,
when
some
kids can be just as effective.
Having been prised away from the games computer by his mother, young Simeon got stuck into colouring in his sheet below.

Aysu looks in my direction.
Little
Khadijah (on what was to be the last event she'd come to at the community centre before her family moved out of the area) and Tiffany (S.W-H's precocious
daughter) at work on their sheets. It wasn't long before the two of them
were at work
on
their Xmas cards (and v.nice they were too).
