In the run-up to Christmas, virtually all the community centre in the neighbourhood had craft sessions that tied in nicely with the festive season, and where I work was no exception. Here below and over the following two pages are the pics I took that Thursday afternoon and early evening, starting with S.W-H. showing the kids assembled what to do with the sheets that I'd photocopied earlier in the day, while I put markers and scissors and glue (plus coloured glitter glue) on the tables nearby.
Here's Leah busying herself with a colouring sheet of Spot the dog at his family's Xmas tree.
Little
Chloe scribbles away as her granny
points
at me getting the snap below.
I
always enjoy craft sessions, and this was no exception. Olujumoke, Alima,
Dean (back to camera) and friends chat away and colour in their sheets
as
Aysu looks on behind them.
Leah
looks on as Simeon plays the 'Lion King Activity Game' on one of the two
library p.c.'s for children, while his mother Sandra looks a little startled.
Earlier on, she told me that I'd have to get up early in the morning to
get a pic of her unawares. Living as I do in Tottenham, I get plenty of
practice these days
and
here's the result below.
As
all the tables were occupied, some kids had no choice but to colour in
their sheets on the floor,
as
you can see in the cases of Jaiden and
his
mate Darren doing in the pics below.
