"Alien Invasion
At
In In The
Community"

The 'Alien Invasion' craft and quiz session was the first major summer event to be held in the community during the summer of '99. Here's the pics that I took of the tail-end of the event (plus a few I got of the local childrens' efforts the following week).

Here's some of the kids who took part in the event, holding up their little "aliens" they'd made earlier. Standing to the left of them is S.G., the h.c.w. (head community worker).

Here's the kids again, slightly closer up with "aliens" in hand. Which one do you think's the most
colourful then?

Here's Sharon again, drawing the name of the winner of the "Best Creature" competition from a bag held by S.W-H., the other community worker in the neighbourhood. Standing to the left of S.G. and S.W-W. with her back to the camera is young Carleen, aged 10, proudly wearing her hair in chunky pleats done by her mother.

Here's Reiss Willis-Bramble (age 10), who was the v.lucky winner, holding his handiwork. Can you spot the clown behind Reiss, browsers? No, he hasn't got a silly hat and chalk scrawls on him!

Here's Reiss again. Proudly recieving his prize of a book token from S.G.. See if you can spot his prize-winning entry amongst the others below and on the following page.
