If you go the the Official Angst Grrls page run by my dear girl Mistiec, you'll see all that the Angst Grrls is about.  Please - go there.  Appreciate the Angst Grrls in all their glory.   This page is dedicated to the mock-up zoo-ology of the amazing creatures that act as our muses, and the appeal of the seperate things that they inspire.  It is what they inspire than we shall look at first.

Angst - it's the stuff the very best stories are made of.  I kid you not.  The complete emotional turmoil of your central character due to the main conflict of a story will set that page on fire, and keep the readers running back for more - IF - big if darlings - there is SATISFACTORY conclusion.   Note that doesn't necessarily mean *happy* conclusion, just A conclusion in general.  Angst makes change, angst can lead to all sorts of things, like anger and illumination and (in my favourite circumstances) c'es l'amour!   Love angst, nurture angst... make angst your friend.

The species of fauna responsible for the inspiration of many angst-filled stories is the Sylvilagus Dramatis, more commonly known as the Plot Bunny.   It is often fled from in it's native habitat (mailing lists, online forums and message boards) and is a common creature.  A fine specimen can be exceedingly rare, however.  Good bunnies can be determined by strong sharp teeth and jaws, strong legs in which to grip onto victim's neck and skull, and convincing and enthralling scream that seeds similarly blessed plot-lines.

To completely contradict what I said to you before - foof makes pretty good stories too.   It's another word for 'Fluff', a word used to describe things like doggies and kitties and fairy-floss.  In stories, it refers to similarly saccharine stories of love and humour and fun things, laid back things.   Don't let that fool you - a lot of these stories can have deeply dramatic undercurrents that can be compelling as any angst-fic out there.  Unlike angst-fics though, not only are you guaranteed of a feel good glow or a chuckle, but you can rest assure you will get the happy ending you're after.
It is a primate species that inspires the plot progressions of many Fluff/Foof stories, and this species is Ateles Foofimadus, or The Foof Monkey.   The Foof Monkey is a silly happy creature that inspires much hilarity on it's native mailing list habitat, and it is largely indigenous to WolverineAndRogue@egroups.com. The Angst Grrls keep a small commune of them care of Jean Grey.  The origins of the word 'foof' is "Man Of the Wild with the Furry Testicles", or "Foofima" in South American.

The energy humans consume when creating is equal to that which they create in the final output.  It is this energy in which muse-type fauna thrive upon, and have done so since man picked up a piece of charcoal and made a mark.  Bards dealt with the odd and rather annoying symbiotic relationship in a lot of ways.  Bunny-Bashing was a regular past-time of William Shakespeare.  Monkeys knew of his savagery and visited him rarely, thus his prolificacy for tragedy.   Bunny's have been recorded as early as 2000 BC, in Greece.

The first reported account of a plot bunny was penned by the legendary Bard of Potedaia, Gabrielle:
"I sing of the bunny that I call 'Cyril'.  The bunny plagues me day and night, and although I have made stew of him, he always returns.  He keeps trying to get me to write stories about Joxer and my apparent love for him.  I think the rabbit will make a good roast dish."
It is worth noting that Gabrielle later married Joxer.   Bunnies can only inspire what is already in the writer's subconsious
