Commander General Rieekan is the commanding Rebel officer in charge of Echo Base on Hoth. General Rieekan was in the military ever since the age of 17 and he was on Mon Mothma's Advisory Council. Early on in General Rieekan was in charge of covert operations on and around the Alderaan system. General Rieekan was out inspecting a new satellite transmission system in far orbit near the 
planet Delaya when the Death Star blew up the peaceful planet of Alderaan.
Rieekan served the Alliance as a line officer early in his career. He served under a man named Bren Derlin . General Rieekan was in charge of the Alliance retreat from Dankayo base. The hardest decision General Rieekan ever had in his life was to start the evacuation of the Echo Base on Hoth. General Rieekan had people protecting the rebel transports and Most of the rebel transports made it out alive.
