About Our Club

We are a loosely based group. And have generally evolved to a round robin group. Most issues are decided by voice vote.

History of Our Club Our club has its origins in numerous failed rail-fan and N scale clubs in the 1980's. Out of that Jay Mellon and Norm Maunz formed a nucleus of "S gauge" modelers in the New Orleans Area. To attract attention to "S Gauge" Norm and Jay completed a sectional show layout. It was through the medium of this display layout that the present membership was recruited.
