JIM SMALL, having lived through a
prizeless
drought in ‘04, picked up a 1st and 2nd in
Sept-Oct ’05
and racked up a first last month – well played, but strike again before
the
iron gets cold.
MIKE DODD finished close on Jim’s
heels. Mike, a member since June ’05, is
showing all
the signs of an alert, energetic Lizard – more interested in doing what
he can
for the club rather than sitting back and seeing what the club can do
for
him. Today, among other things, he has
taken on the task of caterer.
THE ANNUAL FATHER AND SON DAY was
won by Brian
Ellis and David Tallis with 70 points.
That’s two in a row for Brian

Wharoonga, 2076
It is like a motel in
the hospital grounds. Barbara is staying
with him. It is possible to speak with him
by dialling
9487 9059 after 4pm. The phone is in the
communal kitchen/lounge area and there is usually someone there at that
time.
Nifty sends his trophy
and best wishes on his donor’s
day – he suggests you should have a drink for him, he hasn’t had a beer
since
the 6th of June!
BILL EPPS LM will have
the Epps-Meredith Trophies at
Avalon rain, hail or shine.

Publisher’s
Note:
This issue of the Flat
Out Like marks the final
instalment from long time Editor BILL EPPS LM.
On behalf of all Lizards past present and future I would like to
thank
him for his contribution to Lizards history and his good humour. The club’s monthly organ would certainly have
been poorer without Bill’s involvement.
He hands over to new Editor Andrew Warner LM – the FOL is in
safe hands.
NEXT MONTH is LE MON
/ DELLA - a good day to bring a visitor or two.
