WELCOME TO COLIN LACEY’S PRESIDENT’S DAY

Col is the club’s 60th President and the Lizards version of Ernie Els, The Big Easy.  Colin is big enough and still doing it easy when the embryonic popcorns among the audience are jumping up and down during the post match meetings.  This day is the first indication of his tenure coming to an end – but not to relax.  He still has to organise the return of the annual trophies and round off a successful year with the AGM.

POSTIE’S MEMORIAL DAY, with 17 Lizards and an absence of visitors, produced the following results:

1st LIZARDS                                     Michael Morgan - 38 points off 18 handicap

MICHAEL MORGAN, as predicted, had to produce a healthy result in his Lindenberg match with Jim Small.  He went so well he defeated the field.

IVAN TILTINS earned his first trip to the pay window by defeating Mike Dodd on a countback.  Congratulations Ivan.

GERRY MANDERSON notched up his first visitor’s trophy since Nov ’05.

The 2005 semi-finals with Michael Morgan, at even money, and Hart Schwarz, Wal Hill and Stretch, all at 100/1, was considered an anomaly that would go away, and if it came back would be accompanied by Halley’s comet!
