WELCOME TO DAVE RAYNER (1958 – 1999) MEMORIAL DAY

 

 

 

The passing years have not dimmed the memory of the irrepressible Grizz – it’s on this day that we enjoy sharing a drink in his name.  Hats off to DAVE and to Jim Small – our host for the day.

GLENN, winner with 47 points last April and Bradman in July, returned to the top of the heap last month – completing his golfing orbit in 10 months.  Well played Stretch.

 

 

MICHAEL HARRISON, after a quiet spell, won the day in January then fronted up to the pay window again last month to collect 2^nd place, the long drive and nearest the pins on the 3^rd and 12^th.  He was presented with a golf ball for his effort on the 3^rd and THE JACKPOT for his HOLE-IN-ONE on the 12^th!  Congratulations Michael.

 

 

WAL HILL, not to be outdone by the hotshots, bagged a nearest the pin and long drive.

 

 

BRAND NEW VISITORS Mick Porter and Rob Lidgard returned moderate winning scores – which makes life easier for the handicapper.  Rob stood in for Bruce Staples, visitors Bradman, and southed the downer in better than even time.

 

 

CATERING for Founder’s Day was top class, providores being Stretch and Company.
