ANDREW WARNER had his first win at Avalon for 7 years in May – then followed up with a back-to-back trip to the winner’s podium in June.  Well played Andy.

DENNIS CASTLE, a Lizard since April ‘01, has one win to his credit – the way he is playing it won’t be long before he adds a few more notches to his belt.

LIZARD’S BRADMAN was awarded to Colin Lacey for the first time since April ‘03

VISITOR’S BRADMAN went to a bright new face and Father and Son contender Tom Wyse.

THE FATHER and SON ANNUAL TROPHY was retained by Brian and Nathan Ellis with a lumpy 80 pointer.  Dennis and Glenn Castle cruised in second with a commendable 72 points.

THE GRAND FINAL of the LINDENBERG with stalwarts Hart Schwarz and Michael Morgan providing the action.  HART started well, looking good for the first nine – then faded, permitting 1994 winner Michael to hit the front and win the event 4 and 3.  CONGRATULATIONS MICHAEL – and a special accolade to Hart, for defying the odds and progressing to the finale.

MIKE DODD’S application for membership surfaced during the meeting and was processed successfully by Pres. Garry Bird LM and members.  Mike’s first mention in the FOL was in Oct ’04 – he has been Bradman twice and won the day since then.  Welcome to the Lizards - we wish you a long and fruitful association with the club.

THE AGM was conducted by Pres. Garry Bird at the DY RSL on Tuesday 5th July.  The meeting was well attended by 17 members including new member Mike Dodd and long distance travellers Jim Small and Bob Paine.  A good night was enjoyed by all – during the process the following committee for 2005-6 was elected:
