WELCOME toMORGAN MOONEY DAY MkV and the return of the PORT MACQUARIE contingent.  The EMINEMS Michael and Chris are Donors for the day - with Michael as Caterer and Chris as Victualler.  Michael and Chris are good exampls of home grown Lizards golfers.  Both appeared as visitors in 92 sporting 36 handicaps; joined in 92/3; shared 38 trips to the members pay window to collect 18 wins and 18 second placings; and reduced their handicaps by more than 56%.  Chris, in what should have been his spare time, is full time curator of the Lizards WEB SITE.  Hats off to this durable double.

SPECIAL EVENT - BEST SCORE on the 7th: Hart Schwarz  4 points off 28 handicap

RAFFLE: Bill Sheehan

MATTHEW, one of the four Castles on the scene, kept the family standard flying and bagged a nearest the pin for good measure.

GARRY BIRD LM blasted his way out of the pack with a 23 pointer on the second nine - to come within a shot of winning.

IAN MASSEY returned a copybook 36 pointer to take out the visitors trophy - and was fined for losing the ladle in the cauldron of soup.

ROSS RAINE, visitors runner up, was fined for admitting he plays at Avalon every Saturday.

THE HOLE-IN-ONE JACKPOT is worth somewhere between $150 and $200.  Hart Schwarz, playing off 28, went close to scooping the pool last month.  Put $2 in the bin and hit and hope with the rest of us.

HART was entered in the well attended Digger's Day at Warringah Golf Club.  He won the day and a young Japanese golfer came second.  In the clubhouse, when the results went up, they were in 2 groups.  Them and Us.  There was another game played over the last 6 holes - the rum run.  Hart won that as well.  When asked how he managed such a feat he said there was beer at every hole and rum over the last 6 - and the rest of the field got a bit drunk.

MICHAEL MORAN, with a record 3 wins and 4 seconds over the past 15 months as a visitor, opened his shoulders as a Lizards, for the first time, and shot a Bradman at point blank with a 22.  The urine test proved he wasn't fox hunting but just had a bad day.
