October 2003
WELCOME to CASTLE HILL PLATE DAY MkV. The day, over the years, is when
abnormally high scores seem to be the norm. in 2000, Michael Harrison
fired a round 3 under the card and won the day with 45 points off 6 handicap
- the best round by a Lizard since founder Leon List fired the starters gun
on Day 1 in 1946.
TODAY President Glenn CAstle is Donor, Caterer and Baggage Man - having
brought the prizes, food, drinks and ice, he will arrive early enough to set
up the furniture in The Shed and, at the conclusion of play, conduct the
meeting. What a devilishly clever possum - what would we do without
him; or better still - what are we going to do in the future to ensure this
unLizard like situation does not recur.
