WELCOME to WARNER DAY MkXV. Life Member Andrew has decided to do a Peter
Sellers and fill the four major roles in today's play. He will be Donor,
Caterer and Ring Master - by way of slipping the Custard Ball into the menu
- and should any, or all of us, foot a put rong, he will descend upon us like
a lead Zeppelin, in the course of his Chief Dobber's franchise. It is
refreshing to see such a resilient Lizard in action.
WE SHOULD keep in mind the words "What can I do for the Lizards" rather
than "What can the Lizards do for me"

Donor Tony Della split the players into 2 divisions and provided the record
number of 25 prizes to fill the bill. With only 23 of the attendance
actually competing, it will be easier to list those who did not win
a prize. They were:
President Glenn Castle
Donor Tony Della
Life Member Andrew Warner
Col Lacey
Chris Mooney
Brian Ellis (visitor)
NOEL QUINLAN lobbed in the shed after 9 holes with an incredible 25 points.
On the second nine, while rehearsing his victory speech, in a sustained
blow, he blew a gasket, the plug out of his sump and the drums out of his
ears, and staggered back to the shed, after 18 holes, having scored an additional
12 points.
CONGRATULATIONS to Gary Castle who celebrated his first win since joining.
THE HOLE-IN-ONE tin is getting heavy enough to weigh on our minds. Some
say it is only on for the few good players - even though statistics show sprayers
being miles ahead of the players. The instigator of the event plays
off 27, and most of the nearest the pin holes last month were won by 19 and
overs. The jackpot competition is not compulsory, fundraising or fattening,
but is growing in interest as the kitty swells.
THE 8-9 NOVEMBER PORT MACQUARIE expedition to Niftyland is off the drawing
board and into the "How many shirts" stage. Up to date information will
be discussed at today's meeting.
FINES, some were:
John O'Meara stating on the 9th tee
"I am going to get a birdie". His tee shot narrowly
missed a Ford Falcon on Barrenjoey
Rd.
Chief Dobber from 8 metres off
the 12th green did play a magnificent sand iron, knocking
his divot into the hole. His
ball did not move.
Visitor Geoff Wade did insinuate that our esteemed president was
a "shithouse" golfer.
The President for being a shithouse
golfer
