WELCOME to CHRISTMAS CARROLL DAY and a special red carport for our most travelled member, Dawson Carroll, who has toted up in excess of 500,000 km in his thirteen circumnavigations of the globe to be present at Lizards on his donors day. Having won his own trophy in 1993, Dawson will be giving it his best shot to emulate John O’Meara - who has been awarded the prestigious cup on three occasions. Welcome back Dawson and good luck in your quest.
BRING A GIFT - RECEIVE A GIFT is on the menu - last minute gifts from members and visitors are available from VICKI’S pro shop. Wrapping paper and Sellotape are on hand in the shed.

STABLEFORD MULTIPLIER WINNING PAIR David Gilchrist and Neil Shackle 100 points
PRESIDENT Dave Gilchrist, placed second the previous month, ripped through the field with a 44 pointer. Well played boss. Prior to this burst of brilliance, his most recent trip to the pay window was for being runner up in June 1993!
MICHAEL HARRISON won the previous month when he completed his round 3 under the card! His par round last month kept him in the winners circle. Congratulations Michael.
VISITOR Neil Winterton, Bradman in Sept., and Oct., celebrated his first win. Well done Neil.
JAKE SMALL scored the double - visitors second and the Bradman.
GLEN CASTLE did his first stretch as Bradman since joining the Lizards
FINES, some were
Wal Hill
Playing with an injury. His mates, some days before, placed a rubber snake
in his truck cabin.
When Wal saw it he jumped onto the road - landing on his shoulder.
Michael Morgan Asking “what are the nearest the pin markers doing in the middle of the fairway”. They were for the long drives.
Jim Small Stating that the F.O.L. is a litergy of lies.
John O’Meara Credit fine for returning a multitude of trophies to the Lizards. for safe keeping.
THE HIC-CUP Competition is in full progress. Today is the second round. The final match will be played in January. Current leaders are Dave Gilchrist, Michael Harrison, Neil Shackle and Garry Bird. There is plenty of time to despose them, so keep your head down and the ball on the fairway.
THE CHRISTMAS LUNCH should be worth waiting for - don’t skip off early and miss it.
THE JAMBEROO WEEKEND 3/4 March will be given a mention at the meeting. Accommodation - 2 per room at the pub - is to be arranged and confirmed bookings made in the near future.
NEXT MONTH is CAPTAIN/HANDICAPPERS DAY - invite a visitor or two.
Good Golfing……….Bill Epps, Editor
