WELCOME to WARNER DAY Mk. XII. It was on this day, 20 years ago, that Andrew Warner joined the Lizards - and due to his club activities, has rated a mention in almost every subsequent issue of FOL. Today our Life Member, ex-President, current Caterer and Chief Dobber is on the front page again - as Donor. He introduced the nerve jangling Custard Ball event, as a supplement to the normal stableford round in 1994, and there is a chance it may be slipped in as part of todays menu.

TONY DELLA, our prolific provider of prizes, scored a win on his own day. The last occasion he won a monthly competition was March 1993! Congratulations Tony.

MICHAEL HARRISON rounded of an enjoyable day by taking out the best scratch, long drive and a couple of nearest the pins on the 4th and 13th. - the most difficult par 3 on the course.

VISITOR JOHN BAVIN, a well known face on Lizards Days, celebrated his first win since March 98.

FRANK van HEYNINIGAN, visitors runner-up in February 99, March and August 2000, will never win the event - following his successful application for membership last month Congratulations Frank, we wish you a long and happy association with the Lizards.

FINES, some were

Andy Warner
Having an airswing, with his putter, during a competition at  Warringah.

Chris Mooney
Being tired of writing his name on nearest the pin markers and  planning to use a rubber stamp.

Jim Small
Bringing a motorised buggy and leaving the battery at home.

LATEST BUZZ - commencing today, members will be awarded 2 Championship points for bringing a visitor. The member will be credited an additional 2 points for each of that visitor's second and third attendance - a maximum of 6 points per visitor. There is no limit to the number of visitors a member may introduce to the club.

THE PORT MACQUARIE trip 4-5 Nov. is looming large on the horizon and approaching countdown - confirm your place in the touring team. More info at todays meeting.

NEXT MONTH is CASTLE HILL DAY, with Stretch and Wal as donors. A good day to bring a visitor or two.
