texas race report-

jr started out 9th in monday's samsung/radio shack 500. at the beginning of the race it seemed as if jr would have the top chevy...maybe even give chevy their first win of the year. jr was having phenomenal pit stops and was even able to lead a lap. however, on lap 185 jr was following tony down into a corner to pass the lapped car of shawna robinson. larry mac, dw, and mike joy all blamed shawna for causing jr to spin by being too high going into the corner, however, upon further analysis of the wreck, jr was just simply too low and came down on shawna. it was not all shawna's fault. jr was able to make repairs and get back out for a few laps but had to go back into the garage and retire from the race. jr ended up finishing in 42 position and dropped 5 positions in the standing to 11th place. full race results. 4/8/02 

it's official- the race has been called or postponed until tomorrow (monday, april 8th) at noon (11am central) on fx. 4/7/02

it appears that there will be some sort of race delay for the samsung/radio shack 500. there is a 65% chance of rain in texas this afternoon. so it is possible that the race could be postponed but we all hope it is not! click here to to go the fort worth full day forcast. 4/7/02
