*Wendy, Me, and Sharee slapping hands, like the turtles :-)*
Besides the con, there was another fun trip. You see, I met some of these listers for the first time at the Motor City con. One of them was Wendy Sfikas, and her sister-in-law Vicci. Sharee and I, along with many other ppl as well, became good friends with Wendy and Vicci. When we later learned that they lived in Ohio, we figured they weren't too far from us in Indy so we'd pay them a visit. We planned out an Ohio trip which happened only two months after the Motor City Detroit con. It was of course a smaller group, just Wendy, Vicci, Sharee, me, but still fun nonetheless. During our trip we went to Cedar Point, a very big amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio (right on Lake Erie). That was prolly the most exciting day, and you know it's always better to go with friends to an amusement park :) One day we all went to go see the movie "X-men" together, when it was new last summer. We also shared thoughts about TMNT stuff, and had fun reminising about the con 2 months earlier. I'll never forget that fun little get-together. I am hoping to do that again sometime. But then again, that's part of the reason why us listers go the cons, for the giant get-togethers! A great way to meet other fans like yourself, and to make new friends. And believe me, I've made great friends! I hope someday more TMNT fans will join us at the cons. |
