2.9 laps practice and 1.9 timed (from a standing start)

This was actually part of my Stag Do! It was a morning only sprint as there was racing in the afternoon. Quite good in some ways as the runs are more concentrated and there is less hanging around. Well, the car performed perfectly all morning. We trailered it down on the back of a Range Rover - for me this was the first time as usually one of us had to drive to car to the track which was not particular comfortable as there is no sound proofing and the suspension is pretty hard! As there have been so many changes since the last time I drove the car (mainly limited slip diff and wide wheels) it felt like a new car. I took it fairly easy in practise to get the feel of it and then pushed a bit in the timed runs, but still felt that there was a lot of room for improvement (in my driving skills that is!). Whereas before the car drifted out on the long sweeping bottom-end curve, this time it stuck to the inside like it was on rails - what a difference! In the end we didn't do too badly against the other cars in our category - a few seconds off the podium which I think is easily achievable with more experience. The ideal thing would be a track day and then a sprint!
