in Saskatchewan in 1999 "Skipped Parts " is the coming of age story of
14 year old 'Sam', played by Bug Hall, and his free-spirited (ahem) mother
'Lydia'. In this scene Michael, playing Blackfeet rodeo rider Hank Elkrunner,
catches his first glimpse of the volatile Lydia. |

| Later,
their first actual interaction occurs when both are watching the
footage of Kennedy's assassination on the television in the window of a
local store. Hank is quite nonplussed by Lydia and her frankly disarming
and candid conversation. |

this scene Hank, who has been taking over the role of father figure to
Sam and providing much needed stability in their lives, must face
up to Lydia's father. As usual Michael portrays the character with aplomb
conveying maturity and strength! |
