We heard from MG today. Due to an unbelievably hectic
schedule over the next couple months, he won't be able to
send us his write-up about his work on the Dream_Keeper set for
a while. It *will* be coming, however. We'll let you know
when we receive it and upload it. Thanks for your patience, fans!

We are about to add some new photos to our Powwow Journey page - not
of Michael (sorry!), but of several dancers at an American Indian festival.
These photos will give you an idea of the regalia (outfits) worn for
various types of dances performed at powwows. Take a look at the
"Styles" and "Drum" sections on the Powwow page. Enjoy.

            Thanks to both of you for your kind comments.

            Had planned to attend a large powwow today to take more photos of the
            dancers, but the weather has been drizzly, rainy and gray. Same thing
            happened the day we attended another powwow in the summer where we
            took those new photos you just saw on the Powwow Journey page. Hope to
            find another powwow around here in the months to come - on a sunnier day!

            We are hatching some really cool ideas to update the look of Michael's
            official fansite, hopefully by early next year. Stay tuned...

I just noticed that Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman has
Michael on RIGHT NOW!This is a two parter as I rememeber
so you can still catch Michael in the second part.
This is airing on the Hallmark channel and it is 7:30
now. So check you TV listings. There are two showings
of Dr. Quinn in my time zone. One at 7:00 PM and 11:00PM
however I think they are different episodes.

                  Sounds like a film worth waiting for, indeed. Michael spoke at length
                  about this film, his role in it, and his experience on the set, when we saw
                  him in July. He is very proud of his performance as Dr Stone.

"Skins" movie - recommendation

Just came back from seeing the new film "Skins," directed by
Chris Eyre (Smoke Signals). Don't miss seeing this film if it
plays in your area. A powerful and thought-provoking story about the lives of
two brothers on the Pine Ridge Rez in SD.

No, Michael is not in this one. But it was good to see some familiar
faces on screen again, such as actors Tina Keeper, Michelle Thrush, Nathaniel Arcand,
Gary Farmer, Eric Schweig -- as well as Graham Greene who steals the movie with his
heartwrenching yet often humourous performance. The soundtrack is beautiful as well, with
songs by Keith Secola, Robbie Robertson and others - listen for the hauntingly beautiful
a cappella singing of Primeaux and Mike.

"Big Bear" on VHS & DVD

In case any fans want to buy a copy of "Big Bear," we just
saw it listed at www.amazon.com. US$34.98 for the VHS, US$35.98 for the DVD
(looks like the DVD is special order). Saw similar prices at www.cdnow.com.

Michael gives a stellar performance in this miniseries and tells us that,
due to the historical significance of the events portrayed, this was a role
that had particular, special meaning for him. Besides - he had a great time
on the film set with his buddies!

"Team Cherokee" used to be available on video (we found it at WalMart once and picked
up copies for Michael, ourselves and several friends), but the above 2 Internet sources
no longer carry it. Speaking of which, we haven't watched that video in while. Will
save it for a chilly autumn evening whilst sipping some steaming hot cocoa and munching on
oatmeal cookies.

About Big Bear- l bought the DVD about 2 years ago
and it cost 60+$!!!!
l am looking forward to seeing Skins, but l doubt if
this bum local theatre will show it. They didn't even
run Windtalkers!! They do have 6 screens!!
l wish we could have a calendar of Michael!!!!

Just this minute got an EM from Michael. Look for him in
an upcoming episode of the PAX TV (PAX is a US cable network)
series "Body and Soul." His episode is called "Graveyard Shift"
and he just filmed it last week in Saskatoon.

We're putting together his comments and various details,
and hope to get the info uploaded on Michael's "Current" page at some
point later today. Please check back tonight or tomorrow for
the details!
