"Skinwalkers" on DVD
Author: Jan_&_Vickie , Nov/1/2002 07:55:43 [-05 EST]

Don't recall if we mentioned here that "Skinwalkers"
will be released on DVD 2 days after it airs on PBS. Release
date is 26 November. We've seen it advertised on amazon. com
for under US$19. We've added this info on Michael's official
site.

Speaking of Michael's official site, we have some good ideas for
giving it another "facelift" over the next few months. Somewhat
of a daunting task, considering how huge the site has gotten, but
a fun and exciting challenge! Stay tuned...

The Changing of The Tide Chapter 7
Author: Marlene, Nov/1/2002 21:57:06 [-05 EST]

The King Philip's War raged on. Metacomet led the
Wampanoag and thier allies to victory many times.
But sometimes the whites took a heavy toll on the
Indians. They invaded an Indian village and burned
it to the ground. Many women and children were
burnt alive inside thier homes.
Abigail spent her time worrying about Tagaset and
trying to do her share of the work in Agat's town.
IT was seven months now and Abigail was pregnant.
--------Agat told her that she must do less and prepare
for the birth of her baby.------Annie found
Abigail crying and thought she feared the birth.
Abigail explained it was not the birth she feared
but the fact that Tagaset would never look on her
again-------"It is November and Metacomet will stop
fighting during the cold winter months. He will
come here and Tagaset with him,"Abigail said.
----Annie comforted the girl by reassuring her that
Tagaset loves her very much and would not hold the
rape against her. After all he had killed Folsom
because of it.-----------------------------------
As Abigail had anticipated,Tagaset,Metacomet,
Sassamon and thier warriors returned one day to the
welcoming cheers of the people. Abigail waited for
Tagaset to come to her. When he came to her she was
trembling. Suddenly he smiled and took her into his
arms.-----------"Tagaset,I am so sorry,"she said,
with tears in her eyes.-------"Shirr,Abigail! Do
not cry. I love you. You are mine and this baby will
be mine. Am I right?"--------"Yes,Tagaset. Oh yes,I
love you so much,"Abigail answered as happiness
engulfed her.----The next two months passed quickly
for Abigail and the time came when Annie and the
Nipmuck women came to her wetu and started to pre-
pare for the birth of Folsom's child.-------------
---The birth was difficult and very unpleasant for
Abigail. She screamed twice and finally a tiny baby
girl lay on the ground before her.---Annie placed
some pillows behind Abigail and smiled down at the
tiny newborn."She's a darlin',she is. What will her
name be?"---Abigail looked down at her child and
smiled,saying,"I will let Tagaset name her!"----
"An honor,indeed!"Tagaset answered as he took his
place beside the mother and child."Her name will be
Bright Shell. She is fair like the white shells we
found so many times at the beaches when we were
children at Patuxet and Pokenoket."---------------
"Bright Shell! Your father has named you well, my
little baby. Someday soon I hope we can return to
Plymouth and your grandfather,Massasoit."
Tagaset just smiled,experiencing the fragile
happiness he was feeling in the middle of this
terrible war.---------------------------

      Enjoying the synopsis Marlene...keep it comin'!! A true 'Bodice-ripper' of a story!! Loving it!! Pass the tea, I need another cuppa before Chapter 8!!

*  Hi Sonja! - Marlene, Nov/2/2002 20:08:43 [-05 EST]

            Glad you're enjoying the story. I just got back
            from Rapid City after a full day. It's 7PM here
            in my neck of the woods and a cold night is blow-
            ing in---maybe-snow. I'd love to set down to share
            a cuppa Greyeyes tea and get into Chapter 8 but
            I'm a little done in right now. But hold on 'til
            tomorrow when there will be an extra special
            wedding in the Nipmuck town of Hassanamisco with
            family and guests coming from far and wide.-----
            ----'til tomorrow!-------------

*  The Changing of The Tide Chapter 8 - Marlene, Nov/3/2002 18:20:21 [-05 EST]

            Tagaset had been up at dawn. He stood on the high
            hill that overlooked the big lake.Closing his eyes,
            he tried to remember the sound of the ocean back
            home at Patuxet in early April. Sometimes when it
            rained in early April it was cold by the ocean. Now,
            Tagaset opened his eyes as he felt the warmth of
            the sun on his face. He smiled. It was not cold here
            this day in the lands of the Nipmuck. It was a
            beautiful day. It was his wedding day.The Wampanoag
            warriors who had guarded Massasoit(Saginaw Grant)
            during his long journey from Pokenoket were sta-
            tioned above the village for the day. These men
            would guard Hassanamisco against any enemies that
            might approuch the village,
            In the wetu,Abigail sat patiently as Tagaset's
            mother,Luwa(Tantoo Cardinal)placed the beautiful
            crown of tiny white sea shells on her head.
            "Ah! You are beautiful,Abigail,"Sassamon's wife,
            Willow remarked.
            "Grandfather,Massasoit,gathered many of the shells
            himself,"Aana,Metacomet's wife(Irene Bedard)remark-
            ed.
            Abigail smiled at Aana and admired the tiny sea
            shells that hung in several cascading strings about
            her head.
            "Yes,Massasoit said to me last night he adds
            another precious soul to our family. We have always
            looked upon you as our daughter. Now you have made
            us happy with another grandchild,"Luwa said,as she
            fussed with Abigail's headress and buckskin outfit,
            "There,you are ready!"
            Abigail smiled with happiness as she looked at Aana
            and Willow. The girls'eyes were wide as they utter-
            ed thier sounds of admiration and pleasure.
            Outside in the crouded village of family and visitor
            they heard the Nassawa,Winodat(Nathaniel Arcand)
            alert them. "Everyone! Tagaset is coming."
            John Talbert smiled and placed his hand on Tag-
            aset's shoulder. "I have prayed and waited for this
            blessed day,Tagaset. May God bless and watch over
            this union yoday and forever,"John uttered as he
            took Abigail's hand and brought her to Massasoit.
            "Abigail, Agat has made you a member of The Bear
            Clan of his people. My son,Tagaset is of The Hawk
            Clan of my people. We,the Wampanoag and you,the
            Nipmuck are again joined together by this union."
            Massasoit placed Tagaset's hand over Abigail's and
            then his hand over both of thier's. "It is done!"
            In his heart and mind,John Talbert uttered,"Blessed
            be this union!"
            Sassamon took Tagaset's arm into his in the Indian
            way with a brilliant smile as only Sassamon could
            smile with radiance from his handsome features.
            "Now we are even,my brother. We both have good
            wives and we are both fathers."
            Sassamon's sincere remark brought laughter and
            smiles to all the faces. There was a smile of
            happiness even on Metacomet's face. Celebration
            went into the night with even the visiting Mohawk,
            Sharonk(Eric Schweig)and Renta(Pato Hoffman) join-
            ing the dancers.-------------------------------

*  Thankyou Marlene - Nellie, Nov/3/2002 23:53:25 [-05 EST]

                  Really enjoying this!

*  Continue-----Chapter 8 - Marlene, Nov/4/2002 21:38:43 [-05 EST]

                  A few days after her wedding, Abigail went to the
                  pond and removing her clothes,she observed her
                  reflection in the clear water. She turned half way
                  around and saw that her figure had returned. Perhaps
                  it was more mature but the slim curves were there
                  again.
                  She knew Tagaset had been without a woman for months
                  now and that he wanted only her. Abigail loved him
                  all the more for his patience and gentleness.
                  Abigail thought long on her situation as she bathed
                  in the pond. She was so afraid to give in to her
                  own desire for Tagaset because she had been a
                  virgin when Folsom raped her and even though she
                  knew it would not be the same with Tagaset, she
                  still dreaded the moment when she must make love
                  with her husband. She can put it off no longer!
                  It must be tonight!
                  Abigail watched Tagaset place the sleeping Bright
                  Shell into her little infant carrier. He returned
                  to Abigail and his bed of Animal hides. He kissed
                  her on the forehead. Then he was ready for another
                  restless night as he turned his back and stared
                  into the darkness. However,at that moment,Abigail
                  placed her hand on the Indian's shoulder and kissed
                  him on the neck.
                  Tagaset turned to face her and soon realized what
                  was happening. He kissed her on the lips and took
                  her into his arms. It was as she had hoped it would
                  be. Tagaset was gentle and patient. Soon thier
                  passion ignited thier desire for each other. They
                  made love until the first light of day. She no
                  longer feared. She loved Tagaset even more. If that
                  be possible. Abagail feared only one thing now. She
                  dreaded the fact that the day would come when he
                  must leave her and Bright Shell and return to
                  Metacomet and his war.

      I am a fan of Nathaniel Arcand he is a awesome actor.
      I like all his sites I read on Bufflo Tracks where another
      somebody put down another site of Nathaniel it made me sick
      other fans said that made them think less of the person who did it
      not the one they was putting down. Nathaniel deserves better a fan has been
      insulted.

            Actually I hadn't heard any of the 'fuss' but checked it out after it was mentioned here a few times. I found the 'clone' site ...and lo and behold some of MY captures were on it too! Hey, it's only 'netiquette' to ask if you are going to do things like that, especially as they can take quite a bit of work. Strangely the lifted pics weren't from Greyland (where I've embedded Greyland into them )... or even from Nathaniel's Official site (where I've willingly supplied some) .... but from the MG Fans shared files!! Now that's a bit of a kick in the teeth! LOL

*  Re: Check it out! - Debi Aread, 168.11.113.11  Dec/16/2002 17:12:09 [-05 EST]+

      Nathaniel is ok but hes not that well known, especially
      in the United States. I saw the site you have posted
      up top. I been hearing about that all the fussing and
      putting down it does. I read it for my self now I know it
      is true. I don't think I will be going back any more
      because I don't want to get involved with the fussing and the put
      downs. I have to many problems of my own I come on the internet
      to relax. Nathaniel is ok but its not worth the fussing and fighting.
      My favorite is Michael Greyeyes He is a all time actor.

      He's my favorite actor!!!!! Laura's site is okie dokie
      Michael sites rocks!! GO MICHAEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*  Re: Check it out! - Frank Gibson, 168.11.13.31  Dec/30/2002 15:33:26 [-05 EST]+

      Here you are again! There is a fuss going on we can read
      it on Laura's site. I have seen the clone site as that other lady calls it.

      And it looks nothing like Laura's site. Nathaniel should be proud of his sites
      but I don't see how he can enjoy them with this naging going on nag nag nag. The
      way it looks Laura is your friend the other site is the competition
      by placing negetive ads about the other site hopefully it will give your friend's
      site the advantage. PEOPLE'S NOT STUPID. If I was Nathaniel I would find me a back
      door and you girls could go at it. I guess you are girls you have girl names.

      Hi Jan
      Nathaniel Arcand isn't that well known especially in
      American. None of my family or friends has heard of him
      except when I mention him. I can't find people on the internet
      who does know him. I went to Laura site its cute I like
      the wolves. But I don't see what all the talk is about
      him for. Nathaniel is not good looking at all he is to
      baby face. I don't like baby face men they look to much like
      girls. I hope he can act better than he looks. Sorry
      Jan but I speak my mind. Michael Greyeyes is Well know
      and popular,and know wonder he just happens to be a Handsome
      man who is a exllance actor. Jan there is no comparison between
      Michael and nathaniel. Michael wins every time Jan you
      know that keep your with your first love Michael rules!!!!!

*  I saw Laura site - Bob Johnson, 168.11.125.2  Mar/10/2003 17:20:59 [-05 EST]+

      Ok I saw the site. Im not crazy about it. It will do.
      And i watch the lone ranger. More like the gone ranger.
      I think it was a insult to the lone ranger series. The
      Wb went way off course on this one. If it makes a series
      i will not let my daughters watch it. They tried to make tonto
      into Bruce lee. They should have gotten different actors
      for the lead roles.

*  Re: I saw Laura site - Sonja, Mar/11/2003 15:06:04 [-05 EST]

            Once again friend, we do not need to trash other people's WEBSITES in order to show consolidarity for our own celebrity. Laura worked hard on her site, and has made a site that fans, and Nathanial, enjoy and like! THAT is what important! As to your thoughts on the Lone Ranger movie, my comments can be found in another thread where I answered someone calling themselves simply "Help!!!". Thanks for visiting.

*  DON'T LIKE NEITHER - moon half, 168.11.125.2 Mar/10/2003 17:32:12 [-05 EST]+

      What with you pepole Nathan is not that good of an
      actor. Michael is the BOMB!!!!!!!!!! Nathan sould be
      replace with MICHAEL !! MICHAEL would do much better
      than Nathan.

      HAS SOPKEN

*  Re: DON'T LIKE NEITHER - Sonja, Mar/11/2003 01:29:04 [-05 EST]

            Everyone here has the right to "sopken"! (sic) Greyland is a free country *chuckle*. However, I must disagree with you. I think Nathanial is an excellent actor. While I am first and foremost a Michael Greyeyes fan, I do not need to trash other actors in order to justify my admiration for Michael.

"Dream Keeper" possible earlier broadcast?
Author: Jan_&_Vickie , Nov/14/2002 14:39:53 [-05 EST]

We recently saw an unofficial mention that the Dream Keeper miniseries
might be shown on ABC in May 2003 -- we had previously seen a
"ballpark estimate" of November 2003. If May is indeed the airdate,
that's certainly good news for Michael's fans. He's looking forward to
his fans seeing his performance, in which he plays a Thunder Being
who falls in love with a mortal Iroquois woman who bears him a son
called "Thunder Boy." (Note: Thunder Boy is played by actor Nathaniel
Arcand's little son.)

As soon as we get more definite news on an airdate, we'll
certainly post it on Michael's Current page and let you all know
here as well. Wanted to pass this along, though, just in case.

Best wishes,
Jan & Vickie

*  Dream Keeper trailer! - Jan & Vickie, Nov/14/2002 15:05:30 [-05 EST]

      We just viewed the trailer for Dream Keeper on the Hallmark
      website. Twice actually. Did not catch a glimpse of Michael
      as the Thunder Being, but perhaps your eyes are sharper than ours!
      Take a look.

      Here's the link to Hallmark's site, then click where it says
      Trailer. http://www.hallmarkent.com/minisite.cgi?property_ID=DreamKeeper

      This miniseries certainly looks beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it.
      Michael tells us the special effects are totally amazing. Like, think
      "The Matrix" - the effects are really that good, he says.

      Hi I saw Lone Ranger BORING!!! Im here to say if you can't sleep
      watch the movie. It will send you right to dreamland
      for real :( Now tell me who ever heard of a Bruce Lee Tonto

*  Re: Re: "Dream Keeper" possible earlier broadcast? - Sonja, Mar/11/2003 01:12:14 [-05 EST]

            Hey there "Help!!!!" *g*. Well yeah... I guess there was only ONE Bruce Lee! (I'm a great fan!)
            I haven't seen the latest Lone Ranger movie yet, but Nathanial fans love it!

            I guess with the Martial Arts trend in movies these days it is only natural that this old Western legend would get the Kung Fu treatment...even though, of course, no one had heard of Tae Kwon do back then. :)

            There is so much flack these days about making movies real, true to the time period they take place in, and showing indigenous peoples correctly etc. So in that context I guess a Bruce Lee type 'Tonto' is not kosher...however...since you've popped into OUR board to complain, I'm guessing you are a Michael Greyeyes fan? Would it have been such a crime if it were MICHAEL playing a Kung Fu fighting Tonto, I wonder? *tee-hee* Mind you, even I'D draw the line if 'Tonto' could suddenly "Releve en Arabesque"!! *chuckle*

*  how about a flying scissor kick? - Marnie, Mar/11/2003 14:36:12 [-05 EST]

                  I must say Nat looked absolutely buff and fandabbydozy in the part! OK, it was a'jazzed' up version of 'The Lone Ranger' ...but hey, who says that wasn't an improvement.
                  I actually enjoyed watching Nat using some of his obvious martial arts prowess...and as he'd said he was really keen to do a martial arts type film in an interview on Buffalo Tracks I would have said this was right up his alley! Actually his obvious skill in that field was surely why he was cast in the part!
                  I enjoyed it anyway ...nothing to do with the fact that Nat looks like he's been hitting the gym regularly(ahem).
                  Anyway, on the 'drool-o-meter' I give it a 9! *g*
                  Marnie
                  PS would I be an absolute traitor if I posted a lil' pic of Nat's pulchritude here? Hey ...he's a definite entrant in the bare chest contest now ...must add him to the page!! LOL

*  Re: how about a flying scissor kick? - Sonja, Mar/12/2003 00:26:21 [-05 EST]

                        Ooooh yes, YES, on the small wonder of Nat! And absolut-ay-moir he's a great candidate for the Bare Chest comp! We'll get the pics (and captions) all ready for ya gals...and get em up on a page!!

Interesting new Q&A on FAQ Page 4

      ...ITS PRECIOUS!
      And its good to know MG had a good report card!

*  Right On! - Marlene, Nov/16/2002 18:02:10 [-05 EST]

            I bet Michael got good report cards from Kent State
            also. I'm sure his mom's apple pies alone were
            worth many trips back to Sakatoon. I hope Michael,
            Nancy and daughter enjoy many more happy reunions
            for many years to come.

            Carol
            I bet Michael would settle on an orange if he was
            ever down Florida way. I understand he likes pizza
            real well also. When making "Crazy Horse" five years
            ago in my neck of the woods, lots of the cast(Indian
            and cavalrymen) could be found in Pizza Hut. I wish
            they were still around here, especially the star.

*  For Marlene - Jan & Vickie, Nov/20/2002 13:22:19 [-05 EST]

                              Not to worry about Michael's extremely short haircut. He had
                              cut it for another project and it was only starting to grow out
                              when he was invited to the Body&Soul set. It was quite
                              shaggy/scraggly when we saw him in July in Cuckoo's Nest -
                              purposely that way for the look of his character in that play.

*  Jan&Vickie - Marlene, Nov/20/2002 17:23:29 [-05 EST]

                                    Thanks for the info about Michael's short hair. It
                                    didn't affect his great work as Cornstock. As you
                                    probably guessed,I'm one of those folks who really
                                    love long hair on men. I know it takes a lot to be
                                    in films and I can truthfully say Michael is my
                                    very favorite actor.

*  Marlene - Jan & Vickie, Nov/20/2002 18:10:12 [-05 EST]

                                          How wonderful to read your words about Michael being your
                                          favourite actor. Thank you.

                                          We too thought his performance in Body&Soul was exceptional.
                                          Considering Michael was given like a moment's notice to fly up to
                                          Saskatoon and had only about one day to learn such a large amount of
                                          dialogue -- and to give such a fine performance despite this -- it's
                                          certainly a testament to his talent, skill and professionalism.

Hi all, Did you manage to catch 'Michael Mhor'(Ok ...may have been in Scotland a wee bit too long!) on the radio? He was excellent and eloquent as always, eh? Hmmm ...he should be on the radio every day...I say he gets his own show! Let's all lobby for THAT! teehee!
I noticed the taped version of the same show will be on at 7pm (At least according to the schedule) ...so if anyone missed it log on then.

            Poor Marlene ...would have loved to have seen you running house to house though! LOL
            Looks like they played a different show at 7 ....hmm, the schedule still points you to the Skinwalkers interview.                         Marnie, thanks for finding that link to the "past programs."
                        We just checked and it looks like yesterday's program is not
                        yet uploaded (Thursday's program is there). Maybe it takes them a
                        day or so to get the tape ready.

                        Suggest you all check later today or in another day or two. Michael comes
                        on the air about 40 minutes into the program. He speaks for a solid 8 minutes,
                        approximately. Then at the very end he speaks for about half a minute.
                        His comments are insightful, thoughtful and very interesting. Hope you all
                        get the chance to listen to the program.

            as listen to the broadcast.
            My speakers aren't hooked up, so I raced over to my

            All the while my sister is talking to me, I'm chewing,
            getting my tape recorder set, trying to download NAC.
            All this and not be late getting back to work.
            I still have a headache!!!

Stolen Women and my Captured Heart
Author: Christine , Nov/22/2002 19:51:36 [-05 EST]

Hello MG, Fans, Jan, Vicky,
Just finished watching Stolen Women, Captured Hearts -- again (3rd time). I absolutely love this film; must read the book. And -- I must have the tape someday or I will have a nervous collapse!! Also, I nearly had the wrong Lifetime Channel -- was confused, so be careful one and all. It comes on again at 6:00 a.m. (Saturday). Setting the alarm. MG's eyes are fantastic, penetrating -- such an expressive face. All the faces in the Native American village were marvelous, and such fine acting. Love the scene where the young warriors were lined up on those gorgeous horses before going into battle. Wonderful photography. Custer, tho' I dislike the man completely (historically), was quite good and quite accurate in portraying his true ruthless, but charming, character. Read the books about him written by Mrs. Custer. Interesting. It's a wonderful film. MG should be very proud. And he is I'm sure. That period is a very, very dark chapter in USA's history. Can't wait for Skinwalkers on Sunday. Congrats to MG. Love Hillerman. Was very distressd, too, to discover, thru Hillerman's books, that the SW reservations have Bubonic Plague in this day and age!! My WebTV is kicking up again and again -- gotta go. Love and much luck.
Christine
Oh -- wrote to Jan and Vicky in re Body & Soul -- terrific. MG's intense eyes are just too much. He commands the screen. Makes you want to commit a "small" crime just to be interviewed by Detective MG!!! Would make a good series -- playing a detective -- but too confining I guess. Loved him, too, in Chuck Norris' episode. Busy, busy man. Blessings, C

      We'd love to read everyone's comments on Michael's performance
      last night as the villainous Dr. Stone!! He totally enjoys
      reading feedback from his fans on his performances, so please, post away!

      We absolutely loved the movie. Top-notch performances by the entire
      cast. Thought Michael did a superb job, playing the doctor with this
      veneer of kindness, gentleness and caring -- with no one suspecting the
      good doctor was actually a cold, unrepentant psychopath!

      You may have read on the OS' Interview page, Michael's comments about being
      very ill with a cold or flu the day of that final fight scene with Adam. Having to
      float in that chilly water couldn't have helped his condition!

*  Skinwalkers -- Chills up & down my spine - Christine..., Nov/25/2002 14:06:30 [-05 EST]

            Dear Jan & Vicky,
            I hadn't finished reading Skinwalkers a few years back, and so I nearly dropped dead at the climax and outcome of the film -- I was completely surprised. I wasn't going to mentioned the plot -- but Sherlock Holmes's creator, Sir Arthur C. Doyle, said the very worst criminal of all is a Doctor. Just think of Dr. Mengele of Auschwitz fame, who was handsome and very charming giving sweets to his victims, little children, twins, then performed fiendishly diabolical experiments on these little innocents. Michael knocked me out completely. He was so caring, concerned and such a wonderful Doctor. You would beg to find a medical man like him. I tell you I nearly fainted dead away. I repeat myself constantly: his eyes, intense expressions, he's thinking inside that beautiful head. I love the film and no breaks, thank God. Was glad to see the Stolen Women... chieftain in the story (I'm certain that was he). My WebTV screen is blurry a lot making reading difficult. I love Hillerman's dryness like the desert itself. So haunting, and eerie too. The tragedy of Leaphorn with his wife, Chee is just wonderful remaining close to traditions. The Navajo Way is to Walk in Balance and Chee does just that the best he can. The women are all gorgeous. I'm very fond, too, of Wes Studi. His Geronimo tore my heart out. Two great American spiritual leaders are Geronimo and Crazy Horse. Is it possible to purchase MG's Crazy Horse? Hope so. Oh -- am going on and on, but I want to tell one and all that MG will be in True Women, 12/21, Lifetime Channel, 7:00 p.m. It's based on Janice Woods Windles' novel. Don't know her. Saw this in TVnow site just by chance. Now that's a Xmas present for all of us. It must have been awful for MG in that last scene and feeling so unwell. He was fantastic. That ghostly image and his changed expression was frightening. It has been a fabulous Greyeyes Film Festival lately. My only criticism is that Robert Redford didn't have MG present at the Making of Skinwalkers' short. I was a bit annoyed, but I'll forgive Redford. He has a good heart for the Native American and for the Earth. Sorry to go on. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. Love to MG and his family.
            Blessings,
            Christine

      I just put on SWCH and Graveyard Shift. Then I got
      comfort.
      They have Skinwalkers adverticed for today. But I
      think I'll just buy the video from Amazon. We'll
      see!

Dying for an MG sighting!!!
Author: Sonja, Nov/26/2002 00:23:42 [-05 EST]

I was told I'd get yet ANOTHER noodle whipping if I didn't post here again soon! (Ok, so its usually ME playing the slave-driver, making Marnie work, work, work!)

Wow its been a good MG run of late!! There's been so much on for everyone to see! I'm still sitting down here in the sunny south waiting...waiting...for any snippet of a show with MG in it *sigh*. I'm pretty sure Skinwalkers will come to South Africa sometime....if only on video. Well, I'm trying to be a Positive Polly here!

MISSED the radio interview *ducking flying noodles...hmmmm...thanks, whoever added that bolognaise sauce!* But you have to be online to get it of course, and well, you don't want to hear about my phone bill woes!

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the US! Guess weather is getting colder and colder, huh? I'll think of you all, (and MG in that icy water in final scenes of Skinwalker) as I laze next to my pool, icy cold cocktail in my hand *g*! So...we don't get as many MG sightings...but we get the sun...and heat...and sun...and dryness...and sun....

      Hmm ....ya know Sonja ...if you wa-a-ant to hear the radio interview just go to the Native America Calling archive and just download the bit from forty minutes in (on 'real player' just move the slide up about three quarters of the way.) NOW will you quit complaining about the phone bill!!? LOL
      Loved 'Skinwalkers" ...but I knew it, I knew it ...he DIED again! Now I know he dies really well but this is becoming a habit! teehee
      Must say he was totally convincing in the part especially in that last scene, kinda wicked in more ways than one!
      For an alternate ending ...I say he chucks one of his catch at Chee and while Chee is getting fish scales out of his eyes Stone makes a run for it ....to cause more mayhem in many many sequels ...our very own Dr. Evil *g*
      Marnie:)

*  Groan groan groan! - Sonja, Nov/26/2002 02:34:16 [-05 EST]

            So.....HOW long will it take me to download this interview? Huh? *chukcle*

            And anyway...'moaning' is all I HAVE...so pass me some more muffins and and leave me alone with my head in the tea-pot....I'm perfectly happy! :)

*  Weather Cold! But success for me! - Marlene, Nov/26/2002 13:57:08 [-05 EST]

      Sonja---It's about 20 degrees now in my neck of the
      woods. It was 8 above last night.
      However,I finally got to see "Skinwalkers" I'm glad
      I didn't give in to my flastrations and go over to
      Custer State Park and let a buffalo set on my head.
      Michael,Wes,Adam and Saganaw Grant were just
      excellent.
      Enjoy the warm sun,you lucky devil.TEEHEE!

*  Let a buffalo set on your head!??!!! - Nellie, Nov/26/2002 22:49:30 [-05 EST]

            Haahaha! that's the second big laff l got today.
            Sure did enjoy that movie. l think Michael can play
           a good bad@ss!!!!
            As to the first laff l got today. l have a big fat
            longhair black cat who came running a real fast
            clip and he put on his brakes as he was approaching
            the back of a
            bookcase that sticks out about a foot. He stopped so
            fast he flipped head over heals onto his back,
            righted himself up and
            zipped away in an instant. It is amazing how fast
            cats move. They lay down day and night and then have
            the energy of a rocket. But it looked so funny.

*  Buffalo and Cats! - Marlene, Nov/27/2002 15:21:52 [-05 EST]

                  Yes,cats are really interesting animals. I bet Jim
                  Chee's(Adam Beach) cat named Slim really took off
                  in a hurry when he saw and felt the phyco killer and
                  warned Chee by meowing loud. Michael sure does have
                  great talent even as a killer.
                  As to the Buffalo sitting on my head--HAH! I'll
                  never get that mad again.

Skinwalkers Encore and Don't Forget 12/21
Author: Christine , Nov/26/2002 14:25:41 [-05 EST]

Hello out there in Michael Land,
Skinwalkers was on again Monday, 11/25, much to my surprise. Had I known it was to be shown again, I would have posted it here. It's even better the 2nd time around. I am still stunned by Dr. Stone; was completely shocked. MG was just marvelous. I really love that part of the world. Would love to see Four Corners and the Anasazi world. I really loved the ending with Mrs. Leaphorn receiving the Blessing Way in the Hogan and Leaphorn accepting the ritual. There are many stories where these Healers are successful. Dont't forget 12/21, MG in True Women. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, MG, HIS FAMILY, AND TO AMERICA!! I believe it was a great Native American who gave this Holiday to early Americans. Take care.
Christine

Forgot: PBS Skinwalkers Site!!!
Author: Christine , Nov/26/2002 14:45:45 [-05 EST]

And -- I forgot to mention that to give a look-see at the PBS Skinwalkers' site which has all kinds of goodies explaining Skinwalkers, the Navajo, Navajoland, their structures, customs, Hillerman, etc., etc. Their jewelry is my very favorite in the world. The Navajo Religion is gorgeous: The BeautyWay. There's info there, too, on Dr. Stone. What a guy! I'm afraid of doctors as it is; now, I'm truly petrified.
Cheers,
Christine
Oh -- if in NYC, the Native American Museum in Wall Street area is fantastic.

*  Navajo land - Nellie, Nov/26/2002 23:03:39 [-05 EST]

      l used to live in Az and never knew anything about
      the Navajo except that when mom took me to Phoenix on
      Satrday sometimes we would see Navajo ladies sitting
      on blankets in front of the five and dime store
      with all that beautiful jewelry for sale. Once while
      we where on the bus going home l saw those ladies in
      horse drawn wagon heading out of town.
      Those days are long past. Phoenix has joined the
      ranks of big city crime statistics. They'd be mugged
      these days. It's called progress??!!

*  You're right Nell! - Marlene, Nov/27/2002 18:47:05 [-05 EST]

      Thanks a lot, Marnie.

      Hope you all can take a minute to send your holiday greetings
      to Michael via our EMail address: GreyeyesFansite@canada.com
      As Marnie mentioned, we (J&V) will be compiling all greetings and
      forwarding them to Michael the week before Christmas.

      please EMail them to us as well. We expect to be speaking
      with him again around mid-December and will pass them along.

      Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans here. Hope no one
      gets snowed in on their trips to grandma's house...while a
      certain member in South Afica who shall remain nameless basks
      by the pool under hot summer skies, sipping Chardonnay and
      working on her suntan...!

      P.S. Thanks to those of you who've already sent your comments about
      Michael's performance in "Skinwalkers" - he said he was very happy
      to read them.

Jan and Vickie/or anyone.....
Author: dale , Nov/28/2002 10:07:51 [-05 EST]

..can you give me feedback on a possible question for MG?
I asked a while ago if he celebrated Thanksgiving,but I never got an answerOr did the question even go through?
I was wondering if this is TOO personal a question.
I know many NA have no problem celebrating while oters have very strong feelings about not honoring that day.

*  Hi Dale! - Marlene, Nov/28/2002 14:22:22 [-05 EST]

      I know when I was living in Hull some militants
      from the Boston Indian Council didn't celebrate the
      day. That year they even had a protest. One girl
      wanted a Kiowa neighbor of mine and myself to march
      on Boston with them. My neighbor said he celebrated
      Turkey Day with his wife's fine cooking and he,
      watching a football game. I know for a fact many
      Nipmucks also celebrated the day as a traditional
      American(All American)holiday. But remember it's a
      USA holiday! Anyway have a great day Dale!

*  THANKS MARLENE! - dale, Nov/28/2002 19:29:38 [-05 EST]

            I appreciate your input very much.
            I'd LOOVE for MG to give me his opinion......
            Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Homepage: Greyland Links

      Woah!! Be still, my beating heart!

      It's Monday morn here and what a way to start the day! Just what the doctor ordered! I've been a wee bit nutty lately, preparing 95 kids under 12 years of age, for six large impressive theatrical productions designed to impress parents and make them re-inroll their children for ANOTHER year at my Children's Drama Academy! Must say by the end of the year I'm wondering WHY on earth I'd want them BACK next year! *g*! But it's a living, I guess!!

      Anyway, thats all over now...Saturday was D-Day and it went quite well all things considered...although I took to bed for the rest of the weekend! But here I am, bright eyed (after that yummy pic!) and bushy-tailed, ready to take on the world!! Roll on Christmas! Now HOW to celebrate it in Greyland this year......any ideas????

*  Sonja - Marlene, Dec/2/2002 14:39:00 [-05 EST]

            I didn't know you were a big time drama producer.
            That's great--hope they all come back next season.
            Glad you're back bushy tailed and bright eyed.
            Yup!It's Christmastime again. I loved last year's
            deal on MB. Suggestion:More pictures of MG with
            elves,Santa and Marnie's dog in front of XMASS TREE.
            Hope I get a special present from Marnie this year--
            ---permission to use that painting of Michael on
            Chat Page for cover of my book, "The Changing of The
            Tide"
            Cheers!

*  a tangled web - Marnie, Dec/2/2002 23:48:47 [-05 EST]

                  Hi Marlene, Are you talking about the big green one that you have to kiss or the smaller purply one? Besides my confusion there's another problem. As it's of a celebrity if you were to use it for a book cover (especially if it were a money making venture)then you'd best get permission from Michael Greyeyes too! It's a bit of a grey area actually ...If I just did one from scratch using a model or made up entirely that's a different story. Sorry to rain on your parade :(
                  Marnie

*  WOW! - Marlene, Dec/3/2002 14:17:21 [-05 EST]

                        I was talking about the big green painting that you
                        have to kiss. Boy this really gets involved.
                        I'm running into trouble trying to get permission
                        from an Indian guy that took a snapshot that I wish
                        to use on my first book "Echo of An Angry God" I
                        can't locate him.
                        Anyways,thanks Marnie. I love that painting of
                        Michael.

*  Couldn't get in to message board since last week. - Carol, Dec/3/2002 20:30:33 [-05 EST]

                              Great picture of MG..Marnie. You sure know how to perk us
