              Great News
Author: Sonja, Mar/3/2002 20:26:48

Well there's been a bit of a buzz in NC land lately speculating on who will be cast in the movie of the Hillerman novel Skinwalkers......of course everyone wanted their fave celeb to be cast as hee....however I think that role went to Adam Beach.....good news IS though.....Michael has been cast as Dr Stone! *books soaring around the room from the bookcase while Sonja frantically looks for her copy of Skinwalker to find out exactly what the role of Dr Stone entails*

Anyhoo.....Michael is apparently in Arizona filming and this, along with any further news can be found, as it comes in, at the OS on the Current page.

Sonja
PS: Check out some new Cree words and phrases on the OS!

MG ~questions answered

Homepage: OS FAQ 4

Hey all, trock on over to the OS where you'll find a bunch of new questions answered! You may recall we asked some of these at Sat Chat (amidst much hilarity) when Jan from the OS dropped by! You'll find out if he's still dancing regularly and even how Lucy is doing (though not if she likes very large labradors!! teehee!)
Marnie:)

Thanks for sending it. Sincerely, Lori

Does MG and Nancy have dogs? I thought he was allegic to furry animals???

[*]   Mine too....................... - Carol, Mar/16/2002 20:39:35

Michael answered my question in the manner I hoped he would.
The reason I asked about his selection of roles is because
another favorite actor of mine (yes, I have a few others that I like)
chose a role that really turned me off to ever watching him again.

[*]   Can you tell me the role in question? - Grace..., Mar/21/2002 00:14:07

Carol: What role are you talking about? I hope you don't mind me asking.

Question for Marlene.
Author: Carol, Mar/16/2002 20:54:09

A few weeks ago I got a copy of the Holy Road and read it.
I remembered you posting something about wanting to see
Michael play a part in that movie. I can only envision
the original actors reprising their roles. Did you read the Book?
What part would you like to see MG in?

I'd have to go back into the archives but wasnt there some messages posted about
what actors we would like to see acting in some Tony Hillerman stories?
Seems that wish has come true.

Mythquest
Author: Marnie , Mar/17/2002 01:10:37

Hi MGFanlettes,
Hope all (ok, SOME) of you managed to catch Mythquest on Monday and Tuesday...for those who didn't I've attached a "small wonder".

This lil' pic is when Strong Bear(MG)has been wounded in battle ...and gosh ...well ...it reminds me of another flick...same wound ...same place. I guess he really does do pain awfully well! *g*
I was about to send it into the e-mail list too...alas they are out of luck, well... till Sunday, for yahoo is switching to a new server and will be down till at least then. So if some of you are wondering where the mail is, well, now you know. I guess I really should pay more attention to announcements! teehee! Enjoy the "small wonder",
Marnie:)

Good book
Author: Anon, Mar/20/2002 22:26:37

I am certain you would agee that there are too few Indian love stories out there (movies). Well, I just finished reading a great book called Lakota Love Song by Madeline Baker. It was soo good. I could just envision Michael playing the lead!

[[*]   Re: good book and Holy Road question for Marlene - Nellie, Mar/21/2002 03:33:42

Is that the new one with the orangey cover?
l was going to get it. But now it's gone. l never
read those books but l was tempted. l still haven't
finished the Holy Road l can't think of the name of
the Indian Michael could play. he was 6'5" l think.
Why do all these novels about Indians have fake
Indians on the cover?when there are some fine
      models around.
l don't know what is going on with Marlene.
l haven't heard from her in almost 3 weeks.
It has me worried since we have been emailing
almost daily for over a year.
Well maybe she went to Massachusetts for vacation.

[*]   Good book - Anon, Mar/21/2002 21:33:36

Yes, I think that is the one you are thinking of, it has a single indian on the cover, with a couple of lodges in the background. I know the models they used are of brown longhaired white men, What's up with that? This is my first time reading these novels as well, but Madeline Baker does a great job with describing the real lives of indian peoples. I think I will write her again and tell her to fix those covers. Put Michael on the front! Wouldn't that be cool?

[*]   Good Book - Nellie, Mar/22/2002 02:49:49

Sean Mah would be good, also Will Finley,
and Jason de Hoyos. l don't think Michael would be
into modeling--besides he doesn't have long hair!
He wants to be in "modern stories"- what he forgets
is that there are "modern" guys around with long
                  hair.
Most of the Indian guys l see around here have very
                  long hair.
One high school boy about 16 or 17 has hair almost
down past his waist in ponytail and he sometimes
wears a beaded choker-that boy has pride!!
My favorite soccer player has hair almost as long
as Michael's was. When he pops up in the sports
news l cheer. especially in the MGD commercial.
                  Zowie!!!

[*]   Some of those models on the covers ....... - Carol, Mar/23/2002 20:35:05

don't look native American at all. I use one of my
pictures of Michael for a book mark.

[*]   Marlene we miss you. - Carol, Mar/23/2002 20:44:51

Nellie what Indian that's 6'5' in the "Holy Road?"
Let's see now, there's Wind In His Hair, who by the way
has only one eye in the sequel. Could we stand seeing
Michael with one eye? Kicking Bird??There is another
character named Owl Propet. Smiles A Lot is grown up
and has some romance in this story, maybe that part?

[*]   . l think it's 6'5" - Nellie, Mar/24/2002 02:53:52

That would be Touch the Clouds.
l imagine they will recast most of the original
actors if they ever decide to make the film.
It was in the works but l see no trace of casting
                  yet.
Dances With Wolves is on right now.
l miss Marlene very much- we used to email every day.
l am going into the archives to see if l can find an
old post she sent from where she worked. Maybe they
can shed some light on what is going on. She had
                  gotten very ill.

[*]   The Holy Road - Chemuhk, May/7/2002 16:05:10

The book The Holy Road, if it is the same one I think you are talking about, it is the sequal to Dances With Wolves. The book is by Michael Blake.

[*]   Picked up a copy of Lokota Love Song last week. - Carol, Mar/23/2002 20:32:22

I'm not finished with it yet,but if anyone wants my
copy when I'm done just e-mail me. I've been a fan of Madeline
Bakers since reading Feather In the Wind and was very excited
to see the latest story at the news stand.

[*]   I talked to Madeline! - Anon, Mar/24/2002 02:53:12

She said she has no control over the covers of her books! I was flabbergasted. I could not believe it. How is it possible that a writer has no control over what the cover of her book looks like? She said maybe there are no Indian modles. I say just ask and you will have some. I would imagine most Indians worth their salt would grace the cover of any book that portrayed their people in their true light. And I think Madeline does. Sincerely, Lori

[*]   Perhaps the publisher chooses the covers? - Carol, Mar/29/2002 00:40:03

I'll just keep pasting MG's picture on the cover of
                  my books. Teehee

[*]   Carol - Nellie, Mar/24/2002 02:57:29

l'd be interested in that book.

[*]   Not on Vid or DVD! - Sonja, May/29/2002 06:18:09

Hey Nanny! Tks for visiting the Message Board. Yup, that's the million dollar question...how can SWCH NOT be on video?! Well we have sent requests, petitions, harrassed CBS, all to no avail. You will simply have to look out for it on tv again. Of course if you hang around here we are usually quick off the mark when it comes to MG sitings, so if SWCH is going to be on again any time soon, here will be the place where you will find out about it! Hope to see you around again soon!

Noodle-whipped
Author: Sonja, Apr/11/2002 07:40:44

Well here I am shackled in a corner of Marnie's basement, covered in soggy noodles from my noodle-lashing, wearing a dunce cap....all because I forgot to show-up for 'chat' Saturday! Marnie is such a hard task-master....so unforgiving! :)

Since I've had nothing much else to do down here, I've checked out some of our old stories and shennanigans in Greyland: We've got some of those classic old adventures up-loaded, with a few nice piccies of the Hi-G in there for good measure, and even a nice wee page of Adam Beach piccies which Marnie threw together for all the Beach Bums out there. So hop along to our Greyland links and check out what's new. Link above.

So ...there we had a brand new chat room ....all set up with a special entrance... and she forgets. FORGETS! sheesh ....I guess she was practising getting in the chatroom so much last month she had a fit of the vapours and her mind went blank (I suppose kissing MG co-o-u-uld do that to you!)teehee. Hmmm ....have to think of a suitable punishment.

In the meantime ...there are a couple of Michael related items on eBay for sale. There was supposed to be a pic of him with Irene Bedard from 'Crazy Horse' but I couldn't find it....however there are a couple of copies of "Geronimo" (the MG version) which can be hard to come by. Also there are a few entries for "Firestorm', too.

So Sonja...get the kettle on...and cut another few rounds of cucumber sandwiches ...oh, and a foot massage would be very welcome too (grovelling also works wonders!)
      Toodles, Marnie

You have to remember that CBS has most of the copyrights to this film ...and they haven't authorized it's release. So if you are dealing with anyone else then you are pretty much at their mercy.

Message for MG
Author: Marnie , Apr/22/2002 05:14:43

Hi all,
As you know, MG will be appearing in "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" ....anyway, someone will be
hand-delivering a card to him at the play. So if anyone would like to send him
"Best Wishes" or whatever, e-mail a brief message to the list ...or post it at
the message board ...or at the OS guest book. All the greetings will be compiled
and added to the card, (hey, we even have a volunteer to do the calligraphy!!) It
should be only one sentence long, plus your first name, and your city or country.

It would be great if we could get a whole bunch of messages wishing him ...well
...not "Good Luck" as that's "Bad Luck" to thespians *g*...but some form of
"congratulations" etc.
Marnie:)
PS put 'Message for MG' in the subject box if sending to the list or posting on the message board.

I can't join that site because I am on someone elses computer and I don't have a yahoo id. Sorry.

[*]   easy to do - Marnie, May/4/2002 03:50:24

It doesn't matter if it isn't your computer...just register for a yahoo ID ...it'll be yours alone and there you go. You can register only or also get a free e-mail account that you just access when you are on-line. (You can have your group mail sent there, too.) Just hit 'join', then register (link will be in the top right hand side) that'll take you to a form where you'll choose your yahoo id, choose a password and enter or as much or as little about yourself as you wish. You do have to have an e-mail address to get the mail ...or if you set your specifications to web only once you've joined you can just browse through the shared files. Hope this helps, Marnie

Marnie in a parallel universe!

Hay..I made it to chat on Saturday..and where WAS everybody? Carol and I managed to spend an hour talking nonsense to each other while poor Marnie was sitting in the chat room (or so she thought!) all alone wondering why no one else was there! Strange things are afoot in Greyland obviously! Did marnie accidentally open the door to a whole parallel universe where everything looks exactly the same...only.....NOTHING HAPPENS?!! Get that tea brewing gals...this is all too weird for me!! :D

[*]   It's me ...isn't it? - Marnie, May/6/2002 16:52:30

Personally I think it was a conspiracy ...there I was, all alone typing "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" over and over again (trying to improve my typing, don'tcha know!)...and you guys were all watching and laughing!! (weren't you ...own up!!) Not that I'm paranoid or anything. Oh well ...looks like the chat room has a glitch, nothing that a reboot won't fix ..but...but ....how do you tell if you're really alone...or just THINK you're alone? Kinda creepy!
I have consoled myself with many MG sightings ....not least an unexpected viewing of "A Nation is Coming" which was on Bravo this morning. As Bravo is a channel that repeats itself endlessly no doubt it will be on again ...so everyone get their eyes peeled ...and pass the Earl Grey(eyes) ...must be stewed by now!

Hi Guys!
Author: Marlene, May/7/2002 00:11:19

Hi Everyone!
I'm back from the dead! Also my pc is working again.
Have to catch up with you folks.
Recovering from my heart attack,I dreamed of you
know who-------MICHAEL. Sorry to say I had to put
off for another year the publication of my book
that I wrote with Michael as my inspiration.
Well anyways it's good to be back.
Marlene

[*]   welcome back - Marnie, May/8/2002 01:48:08

Hi Marlene, was beginning to wonder what happened to you ....you'll be glad to know lots of people were asking! Sorry to hear about the heart attack ...but if you have to have one at least the upside was an MG sighting, teehee! Just teasing you ...seriously I hope you are on the road to recovery!
Bad news about the book ....guess we have to wait for all good things! We'll have to be patient once again. I do have an MG Pin for you ...for your stories here...Sonja even sent your address...which I lost somewhere on my hard drive ...so the pin has been making the rounds of my living room as all things that must be posted have to do! LOL
Sonja started off another tall-tale on the list ...but has left us stranded once more ...with an elf sighting (the gal has been to see Lord of the Rings one too many times!)...So pretty much everything is as you left it! *g*
Have a cup of tea...and make yourself comfortable once more!
      Marnie:)

[*]   Thanks! - Marlene, May/9/2002 04:05:32

Glad to hear I was missed. Things are looking
good for me healthwise. BUT-----eight different
pills I must take everyday!! BOO WHO for me.
Maybe they are experimenting on me. I'll let you
know if I turn into something different. TEE HEE!
I certainly do appreciate the MG pin. Thanks a lot.
            It was fun!

PS----I'm going to look real hard at this big
picture of Michael that I have and maybe I'll have
            another sighting in my dreams!!!!!!

[*]   On it's way .... - Marnie, May/9/2002 04:12:06

...sometime soon, teehee! Got your addy so your "Prize" (also known as your secret communicator) will be delivered to you as soon as I make it to a post office. I shall tie string round my fingers and toes just as a reminder ...several e-mails might not go amiss either!! LOL
                  Marnie:)

[*]   Yeah....we missed you! - Sonja, May/9/2002 06:04:56

Well welcome back Marlene! Glad you are on the road to recovery...gosh, a heart attack...boy are we lucky to still have you with us here! You take care now, and do everything the doc says.

I'm sure Earl Grey(eyes) tea is very, very good for you, and here are some low sodium, low fat, muffins (but because this is Greyland, they taste like heaven! *smile*) for you to enjoy! The Greyland doc (Mariel) has prescribed one such muffin before and after each of your eight pills.....that should prevent you from turning into anything 'unnatural' and keep your coat shiney and nose wet! LOL!

[*]   Muffins&Greyes Tea - Marlene, May/9/2002 16:40:57

Sitting back enjoying the tea&muffins. Forget the
            pills.
Well my nose is wet and primed. So I'm off to my
daily hunt. Maybe a mouse or two and then back to
            more tea and muffins. TEEHEE!
            I'm howling,

Isn't it great to have Marlene back.
                  We sure did miss you.
l Guess l will try some Greyeyes tea now,-
and a muffin. l want a primed wet nose too!
My daughter has a mouse problem, and only one cat,
maybe l should go see if l can help the cat hunt.
l am not too up in spirits right now. Sheba, my
15 yr old cat, will not be retuning from the vet
                  tomorow.

[*]   Negotiate?????? - Marlene, May/10/2002 17:41:03

                        Nellie,
Sorry to hear about Sheba. As you know I had a like
situation with Simba. But I do have photos of him.
                        It helps.
Now as to your daughter's mouse problem-------------
Tell her to sit down by the mouse entryway. When
they start coming, warn them that there are 22cats
that moved into her house today and the mice would
be safer elswhere. If this negotiation dosen't work,
let me know and you and I can go on a mouse hunt
                        adventure together.

[*]   K-9 - Marnie, May/11/2002 03:47:59

Sorry to hear about Sheba, Nellie .... it's a hard choice to have to make.
Boy, you guys are off base on that potion thing....Mariel's last effort was for the MG Fans Mascot ...and gosh, think canine not feline, teehee. So sorry ...if you act like our Mascot ...well, just start welcoming those mice, licking them all over ...and pretty much offering them cheese!LOL

This kind of thing has happened many times over the years
and it gets harder all the time.
My daughter will have to ask "Mimi" her cat, where all
                              the mice doorways are.
Time for tea! and my Brazilian novela l got hooked on
which plays out between Rio and Morrocco. l didn't
like it at first but it turned out to be great.
Hope that big storm in Ohio missed Micahel.

"The Changing of The Tide" It's about Plymouth
Colony in Massachusetts when the white men came
and changed forever the lives of the Indians who
                                          lived there.

Hi all,
There's some good news at the OS about the Dreamkeeper Miniseries in which MG is to play the part of a "Thunder-being" ...so toddle on over all of you and check it out .
Pretty exciting, eh?
Also some bad news to impart about "Lucy" his pet cockatiel ....I'm afraid she passed away. It's so sad especially as he wrote so glowingly of her in the FAQ's! Check out the OS Announcements page for the info.

Like you, we are looking forward to seeing Michael's performance in the
Dreamkeeper miniseries, as a Thunder-Being. We'll add some updates over
the coming months -- and we'll remind Michael to send us some photos from

Greetings from the"Sunshine State"
Author: Carol, Jun/3/2002 14:46:13

Thumbing through a copy of Entertainment News yesterday,in
the section for movie releases in June, there is a write up for
"Sunshine State". Too bad Michael's name is not mentioned there.
If I had not read that Michael was in this movie from the OS
announcements I would have thumbed right by. Next page was a
write up for Windtalkers, Adam Beach's name is right there with
Nicholas Cage.'sigh'
So if anyone from the OS reads this can you see if
this is just on video, or will we actually be able to
see Michael in the theater's?
Bye for now, from Tampa where it's always sunny and Hot!

[*]   Sunshine State - Vickie & Jan, Jun/3/2002 20:05:16

Yes indeed, Carol, Michael has a small role in "Sunshine State"!
He filmed it last year in Florida, north of Jacksonville.

He was honoured to work with director John Sayles.

If memory serves us correctly, he filmed it right after
returning from England where he went for the Sam's Circus pilot.
By which time his hair was cropped short!

[*]   So, I guess you have no official word yet...... - Carol, Jun/4/2002 00:10:13

Well, we will all be waiting. Keeping my eyes peeled
If I see anything else, I'll post it.

Here's a link to our Current page, in the Sunshine State
section, with Michael's very own description of the film and
his role. Hope this helps. Not quite sure what you mean
                 about "official word" - ?

                  http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Boulevard/6090/page6.html#SunshineState

If for any reason this link doesn't work, just go to Michael's website,
click on Current, then click on Sunshine State and you'll find it. You can write to us
at Michael's website if you have additional questions.

Thanks a lot for your interest!

[*]   "Official" as in a certain date, more that "tentative"..... - Carol, Jun/5/2002 00:07:25

as mentioned on announcements page. It states tentaive
                        release, of June 21.

Also, is it in theaters or just on video?
                        That's what I meant by 'official word'Sorry if I wasn't
clear on this Vickie and Jan. Thanks for answering so quickly!

[*]   Sunshine State release date(s) - Vickie & Jan, Jun/6/2002 12:29:33

The only info we have at this point is that "Sunshine State" is set
for limited release on 21 June 2002 in New York and Los Angeles, and for
wider release in other cities after that. Until we have
more specifics, we'll just leave the info on the OS as is.

We heard unofficially that it's premiering at a film festival in Las
Vegas this weekend, but have no confirmation of this info.

We'll just have to sit back and wait patiently, it would seem! :)

                              Best wishes,
                              Vickie & Jan

Drat it, my company is at a trade show this weekend in
Las Vegas and where am I? Not in Vegas.
I will be in NY a week before the premiere. Soooo I will
be sitting tight, and waiting like everyone else.

Checked out the picture of Michael taken in Florida
while shooting Sunshine State. Looks like he was in
my backyard!!Well, he kinda was in my backyard.

                                    Thanks again!

[*]   Sunshine State release - Vickie & Jan, Jun/16/2002 22:41:17

Looks like Sunshine State will be opening in cities other
than LA and NY soon. We've seen a date of July 12 for
several US cities, showing at smaller art theatres where
foreign and independent films are often showcased.

                                          Keep on the lookout!

(P.S. To Carol in FL, thanks very much for your kind favour. It works
                                          wonderfully!)

                                          Regards to all,

Hi Everybody!
Author: Marlene, Jun/18/2002 00:32:42

I finally got my new PC working! It's great to be
back on line.
I got a lot of catching up to do but I guess Costner
is not going to do "The Holy Road"----Seguel to
"Dances with Wolves" So,I quess there won't be an
opportunity for Michael to get one of the characters.

Quess we'll just have to wait and see.

      What happenned?

            Dale,
There was an article in The Rapid City Journal
saying that Costner had two flops with "Postman" and
"3'000 Miles to Graceland. It said that Keven might
make a comeback with"Open Range". Nothing was
mentioned about"Holy Road". If he does do the sequel
I hope Michael gets a part in it.

                        Dale,
You have an idea there. We'll have to visit the
Costner fan site once and a while to check on this
"Open Range". Of course if it's a rutin' tootin'
old fashion western ,Michael would handle the role
of a wrangler or cattle boss just fine. In fact,
Michael could handle anything. Don't ya just love
                        that guy???????

            Rean,
I hope Costner gets around to making Michael
Blake's sequel to DWWOLVES. If he does,I hope we'll
see Tantoo,Rodney Grant,Mary McDonald and of coarse
            Lt.Dunbar himself(Keven Costner)ten years later.
            Let's hope!

            Rean,
I hope Costner gets around to making Michael Blake's
sequel to DWWOLVES. If so I hope we'll see Tantoo,
Rodney Grant,Mary McDonald and of coarse Keven
Costner as Lt.Dunbar in the roles they did so well.
There is a new charcter in the sequel,(White Wolf)
I think his name is and I was hopeing our Michael
would get the part. Well,we can hope!

[*]   Thanks Marlene! Guess we'll have to wait & see what happens.....n/t [R] - Rean, Jun/23/2002 05:43:45

            ..but apparrently it centers around STANDS WITH A FIST and Dunbars baby/son? being captured by White soldier;
So he gets WIND IN HIS HAIR and KICKING BIRD to help find and rescue them.
I believe theres suppose to be another NA character in it(an evil guy?).
I'll have to look it up again.

More on Sunshine State!
Author: dale , Jun/23/2002 22:30:24

Its apparently out now!
Ebert and Roper gave it VERY positive reviews this morning on their show********
[*]   Limited release - dale, Jun/23/2002 22:43:11

When they say that, all that seems to mean is that the movie will play in art houses(where they show foreign and indie films),not the mainstream theaters.
Thats where I saw the LAST John Sayles film.
I would check out the ones NEAREST YOU!

[*]   Nuts! - Nellie, Jun/24/2002 17:48:54

l'll have to wait til it comes out on video.
This retarded 6 screen theatre didn't even run
            Windtalkers!!!
l just read that vcrs are going the way of the
eight track! l have a brand new one stored for the
future. l have had a dvd player for almost 3 yrs and
it's been played about 5 times. l hate dvds. you have
to be so careful with them. So all those tapes we made
of our families and fave movies (Stolen Women) will
have to be redone to dvd. Like Carroll O'Connor once
said in Heat of the Night, "Sometimes l get so tired!"

[*]   Well Nellie - dale, Jun/25/2002 14:08:13

Maybe you,John Sayles AND MICHAEL will get lucky and they will show it at your theater!

[*]   Tough luck Nellie..No Windtalkers either, unbelievable! - Carol, Jun/25/2002 15:11:44

I checked the art houses in Tampa and Sarasota, St. Petersburg,
and could not find 'Sunshine State' listed anywhere. Now, this is
a pretty populated area and if I can't find it, in of all places,
the Sunshine State something is really wrong. I will
keep looking, maybe Orlando next week. Just about then a book and
a trip to the beach sounded good. Speaking of beach...Windtalkers
is at all the cineplexes down here. I could not get
in to see Windtalkers. They were sold out, ALL DAY!!!

When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping:)

server problems
Author: Marnie, Jun/24/2002 07:14:56

The messageboard server has been having a few problems ...quite a few people (probably everyone, LOL) are getting an internal error message or a 'you have posted a duplicate message' ..em ...message. It's us ...not your computer! Never fear, the server is aware ...and will probably fix the snag come winter! *g* Your posts are going through ...looks like there's a cache problem and it isn't recognizing this right off the bat! Just persevere, huh?
Marnie:)

[*]   Hi,Marnie - Marlene, Jun/24/2002 18:36:32

      Thanks for the info!

Thanks a bunch!
Author: Marlene, Jun/25/2002 15:26:47

Marnie,

I got the brooch award yesterday in the mail. I
appreciate it very much.
Say,maybe somebody would be interested in starding
another "different endings" or a whole new story
for Michael like "Lord of the High Seas" I think
it can be found in the archieves. Am I right,
Marnie???

[*]   er ...maybe! - Marnie, Jun/26/2002 06:21:05

Glad you got your secret communicator pin ..all you have to do is tap it a couple of times and we will be instantly connected...wait , sorry, that's Star Trek isn't it? I really should keep these fan things straight! teehee
As for the story, well someone did start one on the list (you know who I'm talking about) but left us stranded at Jami's Meatloaf Palace surrounded by elves (OK ...one elf, guess which one?) and JEFF GOLDBLUM! Can't wait to see how that turns out but I fear we may have to wait for her Summer Hols!
"Lord of the High Seas" is either in the archives or waiting patiently on my hard drive to be uploaded (or eaten by a virus). I have been gamely editing and uploading stories to the chronicles ...the hilarious "The Trial" and the very early "Sahara" but they are not yet linked in as there are getting to be so many we are making a new page/cafe/bookshop where you can drop in and browse through all the stories.
      Marnie:)

[*]   Sounds Good! - Marlene, Jun/27/2002 16:31:32

            Marnie,
The new page coming up,where we can browse thru all the of the
of the stories is a great idea.
Thanks Marnie, for all the things you do for us!
            Marlene

Any more questions for MG?
Author: Marnie, Jun/26/2002 06:55:55

Hi all, Michael will soon be appearing in "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" and as you know the OS will have a representative there to meet with him. So if any of you have any burning questions you'd like answered ...post them here or send them directly to
the OS
Also check out a new publicity shot of MG at the OS on their
Photo Page Three ...it's the last pic ...but worthwhile checking it out for he has such and engaging smile in it! Just wanna grab 'im and pinch his cheeks! LOL (now there's a question ....was he ever driven batty by aunts pinching his cheeks 'cos he was so darn cute growing up? teehee) Marnie:)

[*]   Great picture! - Carol, Jun/27/2002 02:14:42

Thanks for the info on the new pic Marn. It's the best closeup
      of his smile yet:)))

Some info to share
Author: Carol, Jun/27/2002 02:09:36

I was watching a video the other day and noted something
at the begining that I didn't think of till today. There
was some information that if you want to know when a thatrical
movie will be released on video (VHS),go to videoeta.com.
So, I did just that, and 'Sunshine State' will be released
in November, and Zig Zag is scheduled for July 9:)

02:09:36

[*]   Nice to know that! - Marlene, Jun/27/2002 16:18:35

      Carol,
Thanks for the info on "Sunshine State" and "Zig
      Zag"
"Zig Zag" is coming up real soon. GREAT!!!!

SWCH again...
Author: LinZzZ , Jun/29/2002 06:27:47

sorry if i'm a bit late.. i'm from indonesia and SWCH is shown here on a HBO program bout a year ago and i think i'm the only person in this country that set my eyes on it.jeezz, where can i get the videos?...nowhere around here. Whom can i talk the movie with around here?.... no one.
can anyone help me? i wonder if there's any way i can download the movie from the net (any of you keep the copy in your PC ?? *hoping..* hehehe ;p )

[*]   Sorry! - Marlene, Jun/29/2002 22:12:28

I believe SWCH was released only on DVD and it was
      never released fir Video.

[*]   like gold..... - Marnie, Jun/30/2002 05:42:30

Sorry, SWCH hasn't been released on VHS or DVD ...and it was only ever available in North America on television. There have been video copies for sale in Germany, South Africa and the UK ...but all of these were ex-rental copies as far as we can make out. We have been trying to jolly CBS into getting ALL the distribution rights (that's the hang up) but to no avail. Marnie:(

[*]   Like Gold------is right! - Marlene, Jun/30/2002 18:16:28

I'm putting my copy that I recorded off of
television under lock and key! Never get tired of
playing it over and over. It's a gem!

[*]   Stolen Women re-airing - Vickie & Jan, Jul/1/2002 09:24:34

We just saw on the Lifetime website that Stolen Women
is set to re-air on Lifetime on 21 August, at 3:00 p.m.
                        Eastern time.
                        http://www.lifetimetv.com/

Perhaps Marnie can add this to her handy tv calendar. We'll add
                        it on our Announcements page.

                        Enjoy!
                        Vickie & Jan

[*]   Roger that. - Marnie, Jul/2/2002 08:11:06

Thanks for the heads up. It's also showing on Swiss TV (SF2) on July 18th. Wonder if it's in English? Anyone ever heard any dubbed versions? Now that would be fun ...well as long as they didn't use a squeaky voice for him! LOL
                              Marnie:)
