Author: Vickie_&_Jan , Jul/2/2002 11:38:55

Just a "heads-up" to let you all know that we expect to be
adding some new Q&A's to the OS and possibly a few other goodies
(such as photos) after our interview with Michael this coming
weekend. Give us a week or two to transcribe the tape and
upload the info. Thanks to all the fans who've sent in
questions recently!
Sincerely,
Vickie & Jan

Author: dale , Jul/3/2002 15:34:13

What will yous be doing???
We ALL know that a certain someone will be working his lungs off in a play......
I'll be seeing SUNSHINE STATE this weekend.
Like I said, its playing at my local art theater, the Kendall Square theater in Cambridge MA.
I'll try to give a mini review next week or so.

[*]   Hey there Massachusetts! HAPPY 4th EVERYONE! - Marlene, Jul/3/2002 17:19:00

      Dale,
I just realized you are in Massachusetts. I was born
in Worcester. Some of my ancesters(Nipmuck) were
there before the white folks arrived at Plymouth.
Glad to hear you can see "Sunshine State" at the
      Kendall SQ.in Cambridge.
A mini review would be great!

[*]   WILL DO MARLENE.... - dale, Jul/3/2002 18:17:25

...and BTW where are you living now???

[*]   I LIVE IN A Great Place! - Marlene, Jul/4/2002 01:06:28

I've been living and working in the lands of Crazy
Horse for over twenty years now. I live about
20 miles from Hot Springs,SD. While making "Crazy
Horse" Michael stayed at The Comfort Inn in Hot
Springs. They have a green&white sign on all three
entrances into the town. It reads,"Crazy Horse was
filmed in this area". As Michael said once about
many places around here that they are sacred sites.
It seemed so lonesome after they were finished
filming and left. Maybe Michael,Rodney,Wes Studi
and all the other fine actors will return someday
                  to work on another picture.

[*]   YOU LUCKY LADY YOU!!!!! - dale, Jul/6/2002 22:31:53

Then you were there when Dances W/Wolves was filmed too!!!!
                        I bet THAT was exciting!!!

[*]   Re: YOU LUCKY LADY YOU!!!!! - Marlene, Jul/8/2002 03:04:22

Yes, The set of Fort Hays is still there as a torist
attraction. It's a little south of Rapid City.
Kevin&Graham did that sad bit when they found all
the dead animals up there also.
I was working at Blue Bell Lodge at that time. I
remember they had a big buffalo feast for the
buffalo runners that were in the big buffalo hunt
scene. It was all very exciting.
And best of all, I got to see Rodney,Jimmey
Herman and the author himself,Michael Blake at the
                              Rapid City Primeer.
Sure wish Costner would come back and film the
                              "Holy Road" sequel here also.

Thanks for the info on "Texas Ranger Series" I like
to watch Michael as a race car driver.
You have a great 4th also.

...and did you add it to the calendar? huh, huh? Just teasing you *g* ...you don't know how many things get missed from the calendar. I mean, "The Merry Widow" was on the other night ....but it was just about to start so I thought, well, no-one will be able to catch it anyway. I suppose we should add every little thing even if we miss them 'cos it does at least let us see how often 'His Gorgeousness' appears on the goggle box. I shall trudge off to do that now!
      Marnie

[*]   Sorry, no I didn't add it to the calendar! - Carol, Jul/6/2002 01:36:52

Unfortunatly I don't peruse my TV Guide at the begining
of the week otherwise I might have caught it earlier. A lot
of times I don't see that something that MG is in till just
before it's airing. So, I will show up tomarrow and take my
punishment for my 20 lashes with a wet noodle. Or is it a noodling
            with a wet kitka?

"The Merry Widow!" He's in the Merry Widow?

So, Sat chat is tomarrow. Sure hope some fans join us!

[*]   fleeting flitting - Marnie, Jul/6/2002 09:34:06

Yup...he's in the National Ballet production of "The Merry Widow" ....it's been shown on Bravo up here a few times. However he flits by so fast that I'm forever mixing him up, teehee! Ah well, guess I deserve a noodling too!
                  Marnie
                  PS Sat Chat today!

review -One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Author: Marnie, Jul/11/2002 00:44:46

Hi everyone, One of the list members managed to catch OFOTCN on the opening night and she sent in this review ....thought everyone would like the chance to see it so I'm reposting it here with her permission!:
"REVIEW/Opening Night at The Porthouse

Front row center at the Porthouse theatre on July 5th, opening
night and there was a sense of excitement in the air. The
Porthouse is an open air, covered amphitheatre with a sense of
casual intimacy. The set was very well designed and we
anxiously awaited for the play to begin. Lew and I have over
the years seen an abundance of Broadway, Off Broadway, Regional,
and summer stock productions. This production was, without
question, one of the most superior presentations we have ever
experienced. Every actor on the stage from major to minor roles
strove for perfection and achieved it. They played, not to the
audience, but to each other and the audience therefore was able
to be simply the fly on the wall watching the interplay of
relationships taking place in this mental hospital. Marty Lodge
who portrayed the role of Mc Murphy, (Jack Nicholson in the film
version)was far superior to Nicholson's performance. Even those
actors who had no lines gave absolutely pristine performances
and wee able to remain fully within character despite repetitive
actions.

For those of you who are familiar only with the film, the role
of Chief Bromden is far more extensive and complex in the play
and he is the first character to make an appearance. When
Michael first came out on the stage, I was, of course aware it
was him, but once he began his dialogue, Michael totally
disappeared, and from then on, all we saw was Chief Bromden. I
was very proud and excited to see this aspect of his talent
which I had not had an opportunity to observe before. He is
truly a superb stage actor.

Everyone associated with this production can only be described
as "amazing"

Thanks to Sandy for sharing this with us,

We can definitely second Sandy's review. Michael's
performance was nothing short of spellbinding. As
Sandy mentioned, his transformation into the character
of the troubled Chief Bromden was utterly remarkable.
This may be one the very finest performances of Michael's
career to date. This role means a great deal to him.

We will be working to create a new "On Stage" page for
the Official Site and hope to have it up and running -
albeit still in a somewhat draft form - by early next
week. We are waiting for some photos to come in, but these
      may take a while yet.

Thanks, Marnie, for allowing us to post this on your site.

      Nanaskomo (Thanks),
Vickie & Jan, at Michael's Official Fansite

Well l am happy to read the review of OFOTCN.
But l am not so surprised. l knew Michael would
                  be great. Three cheers!

[*]   DITTO! - Marlene, Jul/12/2002 16:56:16

                        Sorry, My finger slipped.
Michael just goes on with one success after the
other. He has a great talent and we look forward
to his next endeaver. Atta way to go Michael!

[*]   Wish you were all there with me at the play! - Carol, Jul/13/2002 03:11:58

I also viewed the play this week and it was nothing
                              short of fabulous!
When you first see Michael he is indeed in character of
the catatonic, Chief Bromden pushing a broom not really
sweeping. It did not take long for my attention to be
grasped by the main characters. My eyes took in the full
scope of the whole acting ensemble, the set, the costumes
were first rate. I purposely did not view the movie
of OFOTCN before seeing the play, as I didn't want to compare
two. You can not go back and do it over again and again till the director
decides he finally has what he wants and prints it.

When Michael had certain scenes where he was talking
to his deceased father they reminded me of some of the
sceans in Crazy Horse (where he was praying for guidance)only
now the character of Chief was telling of the pain and atrocities
that this place had inflicted on him. There was a deeper
more mature quality to Michael's acting here. Yep, he's improved!
But then you really are not surprised are you? Yes, 'spellbinding'
                              is the word here.

It has been many years since I saw the movie of OFOTCN, and
I didn't remember chief as having that many lines or scenes.
I was happy to see that in this version of the play the part
                              of Chief was featured more.

Marty Lodge gave a lighter more comedic character of Randle
McMurphy. Other notable performances were given by Donald Clark
(Billy Bibbit) and Dudley Swetland(Dale Harding). I too, noticed
the other actors that did not have speaking parts, enhanced the
set to give a realistic feeling of an asylum.
After the performance I got to meet with Michael for
a few minutes. Got some pictures of him and with him. I
wish I could of taken pictures during the performance.
I tried to get a pic of Michael in character of Chief. But Michael
was now in his own clothes, hair combed, smiling, warm and gracious.

Completly opposite of Cheif.I wanted him to autograph my program and forgot to ask him.
However, I can console myself with the big good-by hug he gave me
                              (eat your heart out girls)!
I don't think that I will ever wash the dress I wore
                              again:) heehee.

[*]   A Big Goodby Hug????????? - Marlene, Jul/14/2002 01:17:50

                                    Carol,
I think my eyes popped out as I read the last from
your message. You lucky girl you! I wouldn't blame
you if you never washed your dress again.TEEHEE!
Carol,I'm so happy you got to the play and gave such
                                    a fine review of it.
                                    A job well done,Carol.
                                    WELL DONE!

[*]   washing? - Marnie, Jul/14/2002 07:11:36

Forget the dress ....I don't expect Carol to ever wash again!! teehee. Sounds like you had a blast, Carol...you can regale us with tales of "when I met Michael" now ...and at the next Sat Chat ...and we shall drool with envy LOL.
                                          Marnie
PS You may have to sit by yourself if you do end up never washing again! *g*

[*]   What a lovely stench! - Carol, Jul/14/2002 16:29:16

After a few rounds of Greyland Grog I'm sure you'll be able to bear it!

I never imagined that I would ever meet Michael. Seeing the
play was certainly doable for me. If it wasn't for Marnie
pushing me to try and get his autograph and help from people at
the OS this encounter would have never taken place.
Thanks Marnie, it's all your fault!! My wardrobe is now one outfit less!

The good part is my memory book has a new page of unforgettable events!

I guess I have to write "What I did on my summer vacation"

[*]   Did you guys go together to see the play???? - dale, Jul/16/2002 23:42:08

            Were yous(Jan,Vicki,and Sandy)together that night?
And did you guys meet Nancy G.,was she there?

[*]   Dale ....I went by myself - Carol, Jul/17/2002 03:22:05

Fortunatly for me my son works for Delta airlines so
I can fly anywhere Delta flies for free. I had vacation
time coming up and had planned seeing my kids the week
after the 4th of July. For the past year I told myself
that I would go away by myself and do something really
different. My vacations usually are going back to where
I grew up and visiting my family. I really wanted to go
out west, I have never seen the Grand Canyon even though
I lived a year in Arizona. I'd like to see some other
places also. So, I made a promise to myself that I would
go somwhere that I have never been. When I read that Michael
was performing in a play I thought what a great chance to
see him acting live on stage. The thought of getting
his autograph or meeting him had not occured to me. You
girls really need to join us in the chat room. In talking
with Marnie she said that she used to go to the stage door
sometimes and get people's autographs. I have never been
an autograph hound, even though I have met people
in the public eye, famous and near famous people.
I really thought if I met Michael that I would faint!I'm
serious about this fainting. I get dizzy very easily and thought
the mere meeting would have me in the most embarassing
position. Marnie told me to e-mail Jan at the OS. When
I initially spoke with Jan I told her I would probably
go up on the weekend of July 4, however a family emergency
changed the scheduling for my time off of work. If I had
gone that weekend I would have met her and I felt sad that
I had missed her. But maybe I'll meet her some other time.
Michael's wife Nancy was not there. She just had a baby,
remember? I know that if you were married to Michael you
probably wouldn't let him out of your sight, right.*g*
Jan had arranged for Michael to meet with me, when I told
her of my plans to see the play. I wish you all could
have been there. I believe that Michael would have enjoyed
meeting all of you, just an impression that I got. He's very
outgoing, warm, friendly, and funny but I think you could have
guessed that by his FAQ pages.

A few days after I returned home I received an autographed
picture of Michael in the mail. I guess he found a way or
some time to answer some of his fan mail. I wrote him a letter
of congratulations over a year ago, on winning best supporting
actor in a role for his performance in the Lost Child. I never
expected a reply so I wasn't waiting. It was a really pleasant
                  surprise. What a week!

also. I bet she's a lovely person and talented too.
After all she said yes, when Michael asked her to
marry him. Maybe if we're lucky we'll all get to
meet Nancy Greyeyes some day. The wife of Michael

and the mother of little Eva Rose, that makes her
a very important person as I see it

Hi Marlene, the board automatically defaults to 'anon' if you forget to enter something in the author box (that and the board has been losing it's marbles lately....we live in hope that it will be fixed, sigh). I did think of making the default "Havoc" ...but I thought that might confuse everyone if the list mascot started talking of his own accord! LOL Though it WOULD be funny! *g*

"Echo of An Angry God" He got to read part of it.
He thought the name,Joel Loneman was real cool. I

Zig Zag
Author: Marnie, Jul/14/2002 07:58:15

Anyone checked out 'Zig Zag'? I rented the DVD and found it to be a very good, thought provoking film. I was especially impressed by John Leguiziamo (oh lor' did I spell that right? *g*)...he was excellent. MG's part, while small, turned out to be an important one in the storyline.
Still it's the vicarious thrills I go for and while I asked what could be better than a man cooking (in 'Skipped Parts') ....this is even better ...a man taking out the garbage!!! teehee

Marnie, if you liked MG in ZigZag, run, do not walk, to
see Sunshine State. Not only does the camera love him,
but he has some wonderfully sardonic lines -- he nails them
perfectly. The film itself is enjoyable from beginning to
end, the audience at my cineplex laughed at all the funny lines.
And although Michael's role is a minor one, the audience really
notices him. A white-haired lady sitting near me said to her companion
as the movie ended, "Now who was that nice-looking young man, you know,
the Indian fellow driving that big forklift?" Well, you just know I had to enlighten
the sweet little ol' lady, right?

Our OS EMail is working again, but we've lost everything: all our

lost your EMail address so you'll have to write to me before I
      can write to you!

      Don't miss Sunshine State!

Author: Sonja, Jul/14/2002 15:21:49

...happens while I'm away!! :(

Nellie had a birthday! Happy birthday, girl! And where's the cake? Did I miss THAT TOO??

AND carol got to go the the play and meet Michael AND get a hug *sigh*! I'm sooo jealous Carol! But, way to go, girl!! *sigh* I shall have NO chance of ever meeting Micheal way down here in South Africa! *sulk* So pass the tea and birthday cake Marlene, I shall drown my sorrows in food and drink!

Cheer up Sonja. I just got an idea, a remake of
"Hatari" that John Wayne did a while ago.
Of course the hero will be Michael Greyeyes and
they just have to film it in Africa.
You can make it north each morning to the set,
can't you? Of course you might have to stay in a
little camper near the set. But that will be ok.
Imagine Michael as the big hunter!
Here, think on it and have some cake. It's white
cake with (hmmmm) vanilla frosting and pink letters.

[*]   Hatari - Nellie, Jul/14/2002 18:37:03

That was a fun film. l watched it the other day on
AMC. Hey guys why are you always bringing up food???
            Now l am hungry.
Speaking of re-makes, how about the Jimmy Stewart
            role in Vertigo!
l better go fix lunch before l start to ramble!

Oh yes...a film in Africa for Michael!! :)

Hey ya know, they filmed some tv version of Tarzan here with a guy called Joe Lara as Tarzan...Tee-hee all I can see is MG as Tarzan of course, in that little leather breech-cloth...*hot flush*! They filmed it at Sun City near the Pilansburg which is not too far from where I am....Joe Lara absolutely LOVED the country...learned a little Afrkaans, and generally had a ball while he was here! Man, I'd be there so fast if MG were filming in that area *sigh*!

Cake tastes great! Any more Earl Greye(eyes) tea? *Sonja puts head in tea-pot*

[*]   Any excuse to have Michael appear in a breechcloth! - Carol, Jul/15/2002 06:11:03

Tarzan, of all things! Didn't we already see something
like this? "Me Tokalah you Anna!"
BTW, in OFOTCN there was the party scene and all the guys
            were in their boxer shorts.
All but Michael, he was fully dressed. Drat it! I guess they
didn't want him to upstage the other actors. heehee

Tarzan!!! OOH boy ....now you know I couldn't resist the thought of that.....
Tarzan in deepest Africa steals into the wilds of "Die Mystic Boer" in Bloemfontein and makes off with ...SONJA? LOL

Just couldn't resist it Sonja...and you'll note that you don't look too upset with your fate!
Marnie:) PS well I warned ya if you sent me pics what might happen!*g*

                        Dear all,

Yeah I know life LOOKS all romantic here in darkest Africa...but things are not as exciting as they seem! Between washing elephants and swatting mosquitos, I am pretty lonely out here. Tarzan is always off wrestling lions, cleaning crocadile's teeth, and playing chess with gorillas! Thank goodness for George of the Jungle's wife...they live just down the gorge and she pops around for tea sometimes and we have a good natter session complaining about the rise in crime (the carcass we left out last night was picked to the bone!), and how our guys just don't seem to appreciate us any more!! Send cake and muffins. Regards. Sonja

You gals are something else TEEHEE!
Sonja------I'm coming with plenty of cake, salads and
and Greyeyes Tea. Wait for me a while because I
borrowed an elephant from the Denver Zoo and he's
from India and he wants us to go there instead of
                              deepest Africa.
Marnie-----Tell Michael it's not wise to play chess
with primates. They have been known to get upset
if they are losing. Then they dump insects on the
                              heads of their opponents.

[*]   Sonja,... you she makes into a princess! - Carol-dormouse, Jul/19/2002 03:25:46

Me she gives whiskers, long ears and a tail.

Oh no! here comes Coal Kitty, my cat. "You remember me
don't you (heeeheee nervous laugh)I'm your favorite
                        human!"
Coal Kitty stretches up to me ready to pounce and says,
"Sure you love me, that's why you went flying to Ohio
to see WHO? And where'd my picture go that you had on
                        your computer?"

[*]   Made Up Yet? - Marlene, Jul/19/2002 18:41:13

                              Carol-doormouse,
Have you found Cool Kitty's picture as yet?
I bet Cool Kitty thinks Carol Doormouse has lovely
big blue eyes! That's the thought of your old pal,
                              RedWolf, also.

[*]   Actually my eyes are hazel ... - Carol, Jul/21/2002 18:50:36

but sometimes they look blue and sometimes they look
green. You never can tell how they are gonna photograph.
If you saw the recipe page, Marnie had me sitting
next to Michael at the tea party. Michael was in
Tarantula garb. At that time I told her 'thanks' for
seating me there as that is probably as close as I would
ever get to him. Ha ha! I never thought I would ever be
                                    able to meet him.

Yes,I saw you next to Michael at Marnie's tea party.

Well you never can tell!!!! Glad you got to meet

He can judge the fancy dress competition too ...where we all dress up as characters from his films. Of course, all his films will be showing continuously. Hmm...wonder who'd win the MG trivia contest? LOL
                                                Marnie:)

[*]   Great Idea! - Marlene, Jul/22/2002 17:42:19

I'll volunteer to dress up as Farnesworth (Weaver's
part) in SWCH. I've watched the film at least a
dozen times but I forgot Farnesworth's military rank
I wonder what goat's milk taste like????
Anyway,I could run the video a million times more and
never get tired of seeing Michael and Janine at the end
                                                      of the picture.

[*]   How about dressing as Anna....Marlene? - Carol, Jul/23/2002 01:27:41

I would like to dress as someone opposite than me like, Lydia,
real trashy with a blonde wig. I've almost got the southern accent
down. Or maybe a waitress uniform like at the end of
                                                            Skipped Parts

[*]   Wow! - Marlene, Jul/23/2002 02:00:54

Don't forget,Carol,Michael might be there. TEEHEE!
Yeah, dressing up as Anna might be fun but I think
I'd be more comfortable as Buffalo Calf Woman from
Crazy Horse,in buckskin. But then I'd think of how
beautiful Irene Bedard looked and I'd probably
                                                                  chicken out. HA HA!

[*]   So I guess the waitress uniform... - Carol, Jul/25/2002 02:31:32

with the top three buttons undone or zipper down to
there is out of the question. *g*
And who would want to have a moose head in tow? But
Lydia did have jeans and a white blouse on I think
tied at the waist, when she first introduced her son
                                                                        to Hank.
We could have the thing catered.Macaroni and cheese
for the main entre, dog stew, and lots of cucumber
                                                                        sandwichs.Plenty of trocks,some of Sonja's fry bread
for the party crashers. You never know some of NA crew
might come to see what's what.

Native American Actors
Author: Rebecca, Jul/16/2002 23:32:05

Is it just me or are Native American Actors the best thing going!!! It may be the hair, but I personlly think it is the cheekbones, they have incredible cheekbones!!

[*]   Re:Rebecca - dale, Jul/16/2002 23:36:27

I think their brand of good looks is something that the general movie audience has not seen very much(remember most NA roles where played by white men in the past;the NA that WERE there were the extras-made to look as sinister as possible)
Now they are LEADING MEN--and definite talents to be reckoned with!

NEW "STAGE PAGE" re. Cuckoo's Nest!!
Author: Vickie_&_Jan , Jul/17/2002 18:19:16

We have just uploaded and linked the new "On Stage" page
on Michael's official site. It's all about his work in
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, with his thoughts about
the role, several reviews and lots of candid photos.
Please let us know what you think of it!
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Boulevard/6090/page18.html

Michael has been closely involved in the preparation of this
page, so it's definitely a cooperative effort. We are now
working on another new "Interview" page. Tentatively, we hope
to have it up sometime next week, but there's a lot of work
that still needs to be done.

Don't forget to also check out our new Powwow page which Michael
is particularly pleased with.

P.S. Our GreyeyesFansite@canada.com EMail address is still
having major hiccups. Please use GreyeyesFansite@hotmail.com for now.

Thanks again for letting us post here, Marnie.

Regards,
Jan & Vickie

Thanks for the encouraging comments about our new
      "On Stage" page, ladies!

Dale, you're going to enjoy reading Michael's replies
to those neat questions you sent in. I just finished transcribing
more of the tape last night (still half a tape left to do...no rest
      for the weary, eh?).

He enjoyed your questions and had us in stitches over some of his witty comments.
I think yours were about reality shows, HBO and foreign films, right?
(There were so many questions we covered, I'm getting confused who asked what!)
You all are going to get a good chuckle about who he'd like to play on
      "Six Feet Under"...

I'm hoping to get a draft uploaded next week.

Good news - Skinwalkers
Author: Vickie_&_Jan , Jul/19/2002 13:29:41

You might want to starting revving up your VCRs already.
Just saw on the PBS website that "Skinwalkers" is scheduled
to air in the U.S. on PBS, Sunday, 24 November, at 9:00 p.m.
Eastern time. (Closer to that time, you'll want to check
your listing TV listings.) We'll be adding this news on the OS.

Michael considers his role in Skinwalkers one of his very best
so far. He's proud of it. You will read his candid comments on
this, in the new "Interview" page we're working on.

Marnie, perhaps you could mention this on your e-list? Thanks.

New "Interview" page all ready
Author: Jan_&_Vickie , Jul/20/2002 22:57:08
Hi ladies,
I worked the entire day today on the new "Interview" page for the OS.
This contains my interview with Michael two weeks ago.

Just as soon as Michael gives his approval, I will link it to the OS.
I am sure you all will really enjoy reading his insightful, witty and
candid answers. Including answers to Dale's really neat questions!

Best wishes,
Jan, at Michael Greyeyes' Official Fansite

Finally saw Zig Zag
Author: Carol, Jul/21/2002 18:59:42

When I asked the guy at Blockbuster if they had Zig
Zag in. He yelled over to a co-worker to make sure.
A voice from behind the counter said, "yes, but it's
lousy. Try renting something else." Can you imagine???
I knew Michael's part would be small, but who caress?
Couldn't miss him emptying the garbage now could I, and
the last of the long hair.

Brand-new 'Interview" page on the OS!!!
Author: Jan_&_Vickie , Jul/23/2002 23:35:17

Michael gave me his final corrections today, and the new
"Interview" page is now uploaded on the OS.

Hope you all will have a chance to look at it. You'll find
Michael's responses and observations insightful and witty. Also
several photos I took of him.

DALE - ARE YOU THERE? Michael answered your questions. Hope you
enjoy reading them.

Here is the link:
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Boulevard/6090/page19.html

Or just go to any page of the OS and click on the new
brown "Interview" button and it will take you there.

We'd love to read your reactions and comments on this new
Interview page, as well as on our 2 other very recent pages, Powwow
Journey and On Stage! I'm sure Marnie won't mind if you
post them here. Or feel free to post them on Michael's Guestbook (which
he enjoys reading on a regular basis, by the way). Or EMail us at
GreyeyesFansite@canada.com (our canada.com account is working again).

PLEASE NOTE Michael's special message of appreciation to his
fans at the end of the Interview page.

*Marnie* - would you mind saying something about this new Interview page
on your E-list? The fans there might enjoy reading it as well. Many thanks.

Sincerely,
Jan, at Michael's Official Fansite

No Dale....Michael doesn't read this board so feel free to be 'free'! *g* As long as you keep things 'family' rated you can say what you like and let your imagination run wild! This board was created for fun-loving fans - hence the constant tea parties, LOL ! We're mostly 'Greylanders' here anyway....so no ways can things stay 'dignified' or in the least wise 'sane'!! Fantasy rulz, man!!

Truthfully Dale, this board and the MGFans and Greyland sites are a 'get-together' place for MG's fans, so drop in on Sat Chat as well, join the e-list too (though the board is more active than the list at the moment.) Besides we have it on good authority that as MG can't control what people write or say about him he doesn't let what anybody says bother him. He certainly has his head screwed on! *g*

Thought I'd carry on the Greycon thread up here as we seem to be meandering w-a-a-a-y over the page.*g*
Looks like we have a few entrants for the fancy dress competition ...so who wants to take part in the MG trivia competition, come to think of it ...we'll have to come up with some trivia ...like:
What is MG's "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" number? (I had it worked out at 3 ...but Mitch managed to narrow it to 2...go figure! LOL)So who can figure out why? ...you might win some of Sonja's fry bread which she has a never ending supply of, sigh!
I think Sonja should man the bar at this convention ...she can serve us strange and wonderful drinks...there will naturally be 'Mooseheart' Beer, and some aptly named cocktails like "Anna's Strained Mud Puddle" and "Joe Reynard's SnakeBite" and no doubt we'll need 'em especially if she serves up her fry bread as hors d'oeuvres!
teehee (sorry Sonja!)

Hav." Dumps drink in Hav's water bowl.
"Sonja, Could I have another, with a Moosehead chaser."

Farnesworth steps back and let's Carol go by with
her drink. He gives her a big smile and then
whistles. Carol smiles and says,"Why thankyou sir."
"Next? Are You next?" Sonja calls.
"Yes,Ma'm! As you can see I sent my orderly over to
Colonel Custer with my goat. The Colonel dosen't
drink Alcohol you know. So while he drink's goat's
milk,I'll have a "Tokala Bravery with Vodka" and
sprinkle a little peace pipe ashes on top.
Thankyou lovely lady. Now to your Fry Bread,Sonja.
I promise not to eat too much!

[*]   Whoa there, Cowboy! - Marnie, Jul/28/2002 07:30:39

"Oy! Carol ....you trying to get our poor little puppin sozzled?" Marnie swoops down on Havoc's bowl and whisks it away to refresh the water ....but not before she takes a large gulp herself... "Hmmm, not bad!" She then eye's Farnsworth and tries to decide whether she should warn him about Sonja's frybread... I mean he only has a few teeth left as it is!... She decides to wait and see which way the cat jumps....

                        BAR FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

[*]   Havoc, growls.......... - Carol, Jul/28/2002 13:40:17

You spoil all of my fun, and who let the cat in here!!
Marnie, holds Havoc back, as he dives in his dish.
Lydia tries to calm things down,
"Sonja, could we have a 'Sober Gooch' for Dale, straight up."
That ought to distract her for a while.
Farnsworth taps frybread on bar, then dips it in goats milk. As
Lydia and Marnie gasp in amazment! Who knew you could fashion
bits of frybread into false teeth!A new use for Sonja's fry
                              bread has been discovered!

[*]   Farnesworth grins--- - Marlene, Aug/14/2002 05:05:41

---his false teeth holding peices of fry bread---
                                    "Havoc,old buddy,I wouldn't have missed this fight
for the world. I thought you were tomming around
with Custer's Lightning. She sure was a looker but I
guess you're not high class enough for her! Come
here Havoc,I want to show you how you can still
enjoy Sonja's fry bread, even after you become an
old poochie and loose your teeth." Havoc wags his
tail and goes to Farnesworth, looking entently at
the bits of fry bread on the bar.
"Gads!'Lydia utters in distress,"Cats and Dogs at
the bar is one thing but Farnesworth is something
else. Now I can't finish my mac and cheese that
Hank fixed us. Where is he anyway?"
Farnesworth grins at Lydia and answers,
"Hank went out to savor the majesty of the land. You betta
hurry out there Lydia because he might be sounding
like Cheif Joseph. He talks to himself a lot"
Farnesworth takes out his hunting knife and cleans
his teeth with it. Then he pats Havoc and says,
"Come on Havoc ,lets you and me go out and find that
high and mighty Lightning. Maybe she changed her
mind about you by now. However, you're right boy.
To leave her be a while is the way to treat a
                                    female."
                                    boy

[*]   Sober, I am! - Marlene, Jul/30/2002 01:22:10

Don't you know an old campaigner like myself can
hold my liquor and stay sober.
                                          CHEERS!

[*]   Sonja's Dilemma - Sonja, Jul/29/2002 05:41:36

Sonja surveys the mess in the bar - Dale has overturned several stools while she continues to insist there is a bar fight in progress (she's shadow boxing the wooden floor-to-ceiling strut right now!); Marlene has slopped Mooseheart Beer all over the floor; Havoc is seated at the old Honky Tonk piano while Carol and Farnshworth are doing a rather lively Polka to Havoc's 'animated' rendition of "Yellow Rose of Texas" (pun intended on 'animated', Marn! LOL!), while the unknown cat conducts from is perch on top of the chandelier.

"Can't take these Greylander's anywhere!" mutters Sonja as she reaches for the mop.

[*]   Then... - Marnie, Jul/29/2002 06:48:04

Good grief ...the Convention hasn't even been officially opened and we're already having a bar fight? Jeez these Greylanders are precocious!
"Stop, stop stop!!!" Marnie wanders around in circles waving her arms and trying to draw everyone's attention ...as usual she is ignored. Havoc, wearing a wicked set of fry-bread gnashers is helping Dale to topple bar stools with his tail while Carol and Farnsworth oblivious to the fact that the music has stopped continue making sweet music of their own.
"Hey ...HEY", Marnie yells,"here are the convention packages and name tags ...c'mon, sign up for the quiz ... and the fancy dress and the lectures ...it'll be fun, really. OK so
