  Our Polling Booth...

  Author: ~gin~, Dec/15/1999 17:31:22

We now have a polling booth option that can be accessed though this message board, just click on the
"?" icon at the top of the board...to access the results quickly, click on the "!" icon.

We will leave this question up for approx 6 weeks, please tell other MG fans about this poll. If there
is enough interest, we will add an online petition to our website.

After a period of about 6 months, we will then send printouts to all parties with enough clout to make
   this happen.

Remember, there IS strength in numbers...
   Do we or dont we??
   Its your call!!

   Thank you,
   ~gin~

   Y2-OK!!!!!!!!

  Author: Sonja, Jan/7/2000 06:48:02

Hey - HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Hope the new century finds everyone well, in great spirits, and ready for whatever 2000 brings!
I know SOME things it will be bringing - MORE OF MICHAEL! Laura reckons release of 'Skipped
Parts' will be around April, so there's already something great to look forward to! (Now we just have
to find out if it will be released OUTSIDE the US!)

So, ready for our first 'Tea Party' of the new Millennium?

           Fallen Knight - Marnie, Jan/7/2000 12:30:32

2000 sees me quite happy ...two MG sightings in a week!! First in a "Making of Dance Me
Outside" special (see the Michael In Motion page for a teeny-tiny snippet) and then "Fallen
Knight" ..also known as "The Minion" was shown on the Canadian Movie channel! All in all, a good
start to the year/Century ...and pre-Millennium!
Marnie (who just has to quibble about when the Millennium actually starts!)
PS Someone put the kettle on ...I could do with a cuppa to recover!

One cuppa comin' up! - Sonja, Jan/10/2000 07:27:57
            Homepage: Voting booth

Now, now Marn - we don't want to hear ANY quibbles about when the Millennium does or
does not start!! We're in a new set of DIGITS (2000) and that to me is good enough
reason to celebrate!! So, I've got the kettle on, I hope Gin remembered to stock up with
Earl Grey(eyes) tea. Inti, how about some Amish whatsit cake? Jami, meatloaf and Cuke
             sandwiches on order here!

So, what shall we discuss? I hear via the grape vine that yet MORE of our fave celebrities
have CUT THEIR HAIR!! I'm pretty sure our Micheal will soon be the only guy left with
             long hair!!!!

Gin, kettle's boiling, where's the TEA??????

Tea and sweet rolls - Inti, Jan/10/2000 14:13:03

Sonja, our dear Queen, they are Amish sweet rolls, like a
cinnamon yeast roll with sweet white frosting and
sprinkles on them. They are His Nibs' absolute faves,
and the poor suffering child only gets them about 3
times a year. Why am I so heartless? Because the
darned things take an entire afternoon to make!!!

Sheesh, now I have make them AGAIN? This time for a
        tea party?
Inti (kneading my poor fingers to the bone to
        please our esteemed Queen)

It's just that we need some variation......- Sonja, Jan/11/2000 06:19:41

.... to ring the changes - we're all a bit sick of cuke sandwiches and my killer frybread.

Hey, anybody heard from Angela? Where be ye, fair lady? Your place is set and we're
awaiting a visit from you and Tarantula.

Anybody been to see the new Jodie Foster movie "Anna and the King"? Now wouldn't MG
make a GREAT King of Siam too?

  Author: Krichelle, Jan/10/2000 23:56:16

Hi there Krichelle's the name....So whats the go in this message board, I've not actually signed one
before and I seem to be coming in, in the middle of conversations!!!!

           Hi THERE!!! - Sonja, Jan/11/2000 06:14:02

Hi Krichelle!!! GREAT to have another AUSSIE in MG-land! (Or Greyland, as we like to call it!)

All are welcome - doesn't matter at what point of a conversation you butt in - as long as we hear
        from you we're happy.

I do hope you like Earl Grey(eyes) tea, cucumber sandwiches, and frybread that more resembles
a piece of Petrified Forest than food (but that's another story!), 'cos that's our 'staple' here!

Enjoy! And don't be a stranger.

                Tea sounds lovely - Krichelle..., Jan/11/2000 22:19:14

             Thanks Sonja...and everyone else.

I must say that tea, cucumbers sangas and frybread sounds positively delicious.....I can't
wait to discover this wonderful land of yours....

                     hi krichelle - ~gin~, Jan/12/2000 21:22:36

                  welcome,
im not around here too often but is always great to
see a new name when i do check in =)

i saw your guestbook post too...
marnie has made this into a
                  wonderful site indeed =)

                          thanks gin - Krichelle, Jan/12/2000 22:13:52

                       Thanks for the 'hi' gin
it's always nice to be welcomed....I must say I am curious about all this delicious
sounding food(??) you guys have in here!!!!

                       Krichelle

               tea is lovely BUT... - ~gin~, Jan/12/2000 21:14:23

id rather have the ever so famous "cucumber sandwich masque"
             hehehe ;-)
             gin

                  Gin's 'masque' - Sonja, Jan/13/2000 05:58:44

In a recent 'tall tale' Gin fell asleep on a mysterious Cucumber sandwich mattress
and awoke with a fresh new 'glow' that has been the envy of us all ever since!! *grin*

Oh yeah, Krichelle, I'd also better warn you - don't eat the frybread! Mind you, you
probably won't be able to lift one so I guess you're safe. Best stick to Inti's Amish
thingies!! And if we could get Jami along here we might have some decent meatloaf.

                    reply- Krichelle, Jan/14/2000 01:57:16

Thanks for the warning Sonja....I'll remember to steer clear of the frybread!!

  Homepage: voting booth!!!!!!!

Ahem.... has anybody noticed MG is hovering around second and third place at the booth?

No pressure ladies, but should we try another concerted effort to place him first? Look, we don't
have to kill ourselves like last time! *smile* but we COULD try to remember to vote each day again.
(Hmm, seems the Lord High Keeper of the Votes has come back from a couple months vacation, and is
   rearing to go!!!)

ALSO, everywhere I turn these days I read of more and more previously LONG-HAIRED male celebs
CUTTING THEIR HAIR! Pretty soon our Michael is going to be the only one left! Long-haired Native
men are becoming an endangered species!!! What more can we do to show our support for our
   long-haired guys??!!

Well I guess it HAD to happen! One has to register to vote at Annie's booth so the voting is regulated
   - no more loading the votes!!!!!!
This evens things out at last, and makes them very fair to all - EVERYONE only gets one vote per
24hr period. SO - - - get registered ladies and start voting for Michael!

  a certain resemblance?

  Author: Angela Konen, Feb/7/2000 15:44:49

The March issue of Cowboys and Indians has a section this month entitled "Ancestors" featuring
descendants- there is a full page of an actor/model,
Houston Geronimo, listed as great grandson of
Geronimo dressed in Apache regalia who bears a striking resemblance to Our Hero as "Delchany". All
I can say is I would like to see a movie with the two as brothers. Anyway that is how it appears to me.

  G'day

  Author: Sonja, Feb/17/2000 04:09:20

G'day from Down Under. Marnie was lamenting, over her cup of Earl Grey Tea and muffin, that the
Message Board has been decidedly quiet of late.
So here am I, in Australia, thousands of miles away from home, having to think up something
   worthwhile to say here!!!!

Ahem....... um ...... *tapping fingers on tea table* .......*humming noises*.....

Pass the tea, Marn, nothing is coming to mind!!!

           G'day Bruce/Sheila - Marnie, Feb/19/2000 18:08:30

*Marnie passes the teapot ...trying not to scald Sonja ...well she is copping out a bit!!* So ...there
you are in the land of Wonder,Down Under and you can't think of a thing to say? *sigh* Well,
fortunately I've been working away ...( so just for you, as you seem to be suffering from MG
withdrawal) Gallery Seven is now available for viewing and is showing scenes from "Team
        Cherokee". Hope you enjoy it
PS We have a new vote button on the index page so anyone who enjoys our pages can vote for us

           Don't miss it!! - Angela Konen, Mar/6/2000 16:22:51

There is a scene in this movie where Michael is "thinking". He is in profile/semi-profile and that
beautiful hair is flowing back--take my word for it --it is to die for!!:):)

        Angela

                Reply- Sonja, Mar/7/2000 09:32:30

Oooh Angela - I gotta tell you I can't wait!! I'm going to INCREDIBLE lengths to make
sure I don't miss this movie!! I'm so mad that it was on TWICE while I was away!! Talk
             about Murphy's law!! Aaaargh!!

So ...did you like it? - Marnie, Mar/14/2000 00:30:40

Well, the 12th has come and gone ...and no sign of Sonja ...it must've been too much and she
fainted dead away in front of the television and hasn't come round yet! Either that or her VCR
blew up half way through and she's searching all over SA for a copy!
I have to admit it's one of my favourite films ..and MG is, of course, superb as always ...even
Adam Beach couldn't resist checking him out!!LOL
        Marnie

The best laid plans of mice and men!!- Sonja, Mar/14/2000 08:33:29
            Homepage: voting booth!!!!!!!

The problem with heavy planning is, you usually set yourself up for a fall!!

The TV network showed a CRICKET MATCH over Dance Me Outside!! *GROWL*

You all have no idea how much trouble I went to to ensure I got an EXCELLENT copy of
DMO, only to have M-Net thwart me in one fell swoop!

So things are most unpleasant in the Krohn household at the moment - hubby has been
banished to the couch in the TV room for laughing at me when I expressed my horror that a
sporting event could take precedence over a Michael Greyeyes movie, the children are
walking around on tiptoe pretending they are invisible, and the pets are staying outside at
the far end of the garden, from where they look longingly in the direction of their former
             home.

Actually, I did manage to get most of the movie on tape from the M-Net 'spare' channel,
not good quality, and missed a few minutes of the beginning, but better than nothing I
suppose. When time allows I shall kick the family out of the house for an afternoon, take
the phone off the hook, and sit down to watch it carefully. Perhaps after that I will be
feeling gracious enough to allow the pets access to the house again - still debating about
             the rest of the family.

             Gabriel's Run

  Author: Marnie, Mar/14/2000 06:39:51

'Gabriel's Run', a TNT movie filmed in Montreal and in which MG has a supporting role, is expected
   to air sometime this Autumn.

This may have been mentioned before, but apparently, it's a futuristic science-fiction, thriller (is
there any other kind!!;). Actor Eric Roberts plays a man in the wrong place at the wrong time, who
ends up being pursued by a relentless tracker for a company that harvests human organs for profit.
MG doesn't play the killer ...and let's hope he isn't one of the unwilling donors either, gulp!!

  Looking for Lost Bird

  Author: Marnie, Mar/14/2000 08:01:45

Seems Michael has a supporting role in a forthcoming Hallmark movie! It's the story of a woman who
was raised to believe she was Jewish and even spent some of her early years in a kibbutz. Then, at age
43, she discovered that she was illegally adopted on the black market and was, in fact, Navajo. She
then has to reconcile her past and her heritage and the woman she has become. Sounds like a really
interesting piece. I understand Mercedes Ruehl plays the lead role ...anyone know what part MG
   plays? Her brother perhaps?

Looking for Lost Bird - Yvette Melanson..., Jul/26/2000 13:56:35

        Marnie,

Hello....I am the one the movie is made about. Michael will be
playing my brother in law Sam...

Unfortunately they do not give me any info on the film. I had
been trying to contact Michael but have had no luck.

Everyone's name in the movie has been changed. For instance my name
is Rebecca in the movie instead of Yvette.

             Hi Yvette,
Thanks for dropping by and giving us the info, we are all really looking forward to seeing

....I hope we can hold out that long!*g* If you want to get in touch with Michael there are a
few ways to do it...you could either send a snail mail letter through his agents (slo-o-ow!) or
drop into his official page :

( click on the link above )

and they may forward it to him.
Hope you are successful in this ...and please continue drop in on the message board here,

But in the meantime, I promised you a new topic? Well, Sandy mentioned on the native celebs list that
she had one of Michael's movies in the VCR... and shut her eyes to just LISTEN to his voice. Now we
know our Michael has a WONDERFUL voice! A rich manly tenor! AND I have heard it change so
dramatically for different roles! Now, Sandy said that she really thought Michael would make a great
candidate to read books onto tape for the blind and such - I agree. But if Michael could 'do' a book,
or speak the voice of any character in animation or on radio (anywhere where we would not be
DISTRACTED by the actual PRESENCE of him *sigh*) what would it be?

Personally I'd like to hear him SING! *grin* Well, I'm just curious!!!!! LOL!

Seriously, I could easily hear him as the voice of 'Hal' the computer in 2001 Space Odyssey. Except
then the movie would have to have a different ending because I for ONE would never 'shut' him
down!!! On a similar vein, he could be the voice of a droid in one of the new Star Wars movies - hmm, it
would have to be a 'good-guy' droid, don't you think?

I could just see it now : -

ANIKIN SKYWALKER : "But Amidala! You love ME!"
QUEEN AMIDALA [Looking longingly into the optical nodes of her tall, shining, physiologically
correct, loyal bodyguard android] : "Oh but Anikin! {sighs} YOU cannot make me feel the way HE
   does!"
ANIKIN : "But Amidala - He's just a piece of alloy metal!!!"
AMIDALA : "That may be! But deep inside this alloy metal chest, beats a heart as true as yours, or
   mine!"
{exit Queen Amidala and her loyal bodyguard droid, who is humming to himself
   '....da-da-dee-dee-dee-de-de-if I only had a heart..'}

Oh dear, oh dear! - Marnie, Apr/3/2000 07:42:11

What IS in that tea you're drinking? It certainly started you on a strange trip Over the
Rainbow via Jupiter and Naboo!! What's next, through the looking glass? Oh wait, we've already
done that! However, to get back to your topic ...um...I could quite happily sit through a reading
from the telephone book, or how about the Talking Clock? (not a good idea for you, Sonja, as
your phone bill would end up being astronomical!!) I think he has quite a rousing voice so I'd
rather like to hear him have a crack at Henry V. OK, so he'd be taking on Laurence O and
Kenneth B ...but I think he could perform it admirably. (Only audio though, I don't want anything
to tempt him to cut his hair ...especially not one of those 'pudding-bowl' haircuts!!
Being superficial, as usual, Marnie :)

Is there another secret ingredient in that tea??
           - Angela Konen, Apr/8/2000 14:55:01

OK--MG with no visuals?? You want him as a computer??
Think romantically--as I always do--LOL:):) Go back in time and space or at least on an "old
movies channel" LOL and see if you remember Julie Christie in The Demon Seed(sci-fi) based on
the book by Dean Koontz--I can't remember if the computer talked but we can change that --I
do remember that the computer woos Julie by creating music and lots of flashing colored lights
in her room and "somehow" she gets pregnant and at the end there appears a steel ball thing-a
majig- that opens to reveal a perfectly beautiful child--everyone is expecting a horrible monster
but no it is a beautiful child with I think an "unusual voice". NO--don't say anything--I just had
my cafe au lait plain this morning.LOL!LOL!

       Homepage: Voting Booth!!!

Goodness Kim, this is serious! Michael is losing out on votes!! Aaagh!

OK, I'm not the expert at all and can't think what the problem could be, so I think it best you

you to someone at freevote who can help. Her email is annie@nativecelebs.com

Good luck!! I hope you get this sorted out soon - can't have Michael missing out on votes he
        SHOULD be getting! *grin*

Native American Indians Seek Own National  Holiday!

  Author: Kim T, Apr/14/2000 13:13:19

In my local newspaper today I found an article that
was very interesting. Yesterday in Florence, KY several
several local residents took part in the HONOR RIDE.
A parade of a group of American Indians. It was a small
part of an overall ride that began in Pembroke, NC
and will end in Greenville, OH on April 29th.
The rides purpose is to gain signatures in support
of a national holiday for American Indians. The group
hopes that October 5th will be chosen. It is the day
Tecumseh, a Shawnee chief, died in 1813. The route
travelled in the ride is the one similar to one Tecumseh
rode before he dies. For more info on the Honor Ride
and to sign the petition - go to www.honorride.com.
Please sign and help if possible - I thought you guys
would be interested in this. Thanks - Kim

Thanks, Kim I am going to that petition site as soon as I leave this one. BTW I am an admirer of
Tecumseh also although I don't know very much about him--only that he was a visionary
statesman-we could use a man like that as a leader in today's world.

  Imagine

  Author: Mary, May/10/2000 02:35:41
  Homepage: Morgaine House Publishing

Hi all. I know I haven't written since my first couple of queries re How a Promise Made a Buffalo
Dance, but I have been reading and getting all of your email communications. I just wanted to say that
the recent discussion about race and relationships made me think that it would be nice if humanity
was never set up to be divisive, but rather cohesive. Would would not have struggles over borders,
over color, over religion, over sexual orientation...we would embrace humanity for what it was - the
keepers of the planet. Pure and simple.
We are probably flawed as humans, because we equate technology with growth, rather than the
flourishing of a planet as growth.
We degrade the basic things that make the world a viable organism. We produce diversity so that we
can compartmentalize facets of ourselves, then control the weak, the different,
the unpopular view. Imagine. Imagine, like John Lennon bravely purported that there was not heaven.
Imagine if there was no race, no creed, no diversity.
Would we be a homogeneous muddle? No, we would not. We would be a kaleidoscope, spanning a
rainbow of humanity across the universe. I believe it is not only good for humankind to
MIX in relationships, I think it is the future of survival of this planet...if the corporate jungle
doesn't eat us alive! VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!

        Kaleidoscope - Angela Konen..., May/12/2000 22:35:24

VIVA LA REVOLUCION!! Por cierto mi amiga!! I like to think of humanity as a delicious tossed
salad each item retaining its individuality but in harmony with all the others to create that which
is beyond the nature of one ingredient. I have in my own family a fine "mixture" with many
        lovely ingredients.

I think that was beautifully said Mary and I couldn't agree more!

  Reconcilliation

  Author: Krichelle, May/29/2000 22:51:19

On Sunday the 28th May between a quarter and a half million Australians walked across the Sydney
Harbour Bridge to show their support for Aboriginal Reconcilliation. And I was lucky enough to be
one of them. This came about because our Prime Minister will not say sorry to the Aboriginal people
for all the wrong doings (stolen generation etc...). It was an absolutely awsome day to see so many
different kinds of people come together for one very peaceful event. It's nice to see people come
together for a common cause, it goes to show that there is hope and there are people who give a damn.

   Krichelle

Good for you Krichelle - Angela..., Jun/3/2000 02:03:54

What a wonderful experience that must have been. Thanks for sharing it. There is always hope
for the right things to be done when there are people of good
        will.
