Day 1

Mark and I spent two days in Catalina with his parents Roger and Kathy. It was the first time for us here while it had been the first time in 34 years that Roger and Kathy stepped foot on the island. Much has changed since then!

Roger and Kathy were our tour guides for the two days. They showed us the two houses in which they lived, the school grounds, the hospital, the golf course... They have even been able to recognize some of the inhabitants from long ago. What Mark and I found most amusing is the fact that most of the residents of Catalina drive golf carts!

We went to the Casino theater and watched Red Dragon. The theater itself is amazing! It holds 1500 people (Catalina's population is about 3500).

San Pedro port On our way we saw dolphins! The Bay of Avalon
One of Roger's and Kathy's homes in Catalina...notice the S on the chimney...They lived on Eucalyptus street, very familiar! Notice all the golf carts!
Roger and Kathy arriving... Another of Roger's and Kathy's homes... A beautiful evening...

See Day 2 of our Catalina trip!
