Come Join in on the Fun.....
A group of disappointed Grandma's Marathon rejects decided to organize a run that would be fun, challenging and a means to enjoy the company of other enthusiastic runners. Thus the birth of:
THE SOUR GRAPES
HALF MARATHON OR 6.2K RUN/WALK.
This will be our seventh annual race in the 540 acres of Greenspace at the Brainerd Arboretum. The half marathon course and 10K race covers the beautiful, but challenging, terrain of wooded trails, flora and fauna. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Arboretum, a non-profit organization. In the winter, the same course is used by the X-C skiers. All participants will be given a t-shirt, a finisher token, and will be treated to a delicious meal (deep fried turkey) at the awards ceremony. Door prizes will be awarded, also. Make plans now for this event. Bring the family and join in on the fun, food and camaraderie of a great bunch of running enthusiasts.
