About Us
I am in no way a rabbit expert. I am not the end all be all of
lagomorph information (obviously haha). I have lived with my
beautiful Philibuster Westminster for four years now,
and experience is what I am going on. That and lots and lots of reading.
Bunnies are incredible creatures, most may think they just sit around all day,
fluffing their fur and looking cute. And while bunnies do have
their lazy moments, rabbits are quite the social and active being.
My rabbit has as much personality as the "normal" pet, and is just
as smart (he comes when I call him and is potty trained-- when he feels like
it haha). Really bunnies are quite good companions.
Now, this bunny page may seem a bit silly, but, I've learned that
being a pet owner is not about serious speak and tongue. Bunnies
are wildly creative and funny pets, and immensely diverse, and can take
a while to understand. That is why I've put this out there, to help others who
may enjoy researching about their pets, or just someone surfing
the net looking for miscellaneous fun (and if that's the case
you've hit the jackpot haha). I've had a silly fun time with my rabbit,
as have my fiancee (who truthfully isn't really a fuzzy pet
person to begin with). But, we've learned that to have fun with
a pet, and is easy to take care of, you don't have to go buy a dog, or a fish.
I had my first rabbit when I was 10, he was only with us for about a
year (poor Mugsy the 14 pound white fluffy giant, may he rest in peace),
and since then I've had an affinity towards rabbits. They don't bark, can
go in a litter box, and just produce lots of giggles
and belly laughs. And I can't picture the last four years without all the
fun I've had just hanging around with my sweet Phili (it's especially fun
when he goes haywire on my fiancee's feet, oh, hours of entertainment).
So I encourage all those who have rabbit's or are thinking about
buying one, do some research, get to know a little about this cute, silly
, fascinating creature. The more you know about them, the more
fun their time with you will be. And even to those who
are just perusing, not really considering getting one, have fun learning
about these wide eyed sweeties so when next time you see
one hopping around your yard you'll be able to look a
little bit better into them and see that it's not just a
floppy furball eating your flowers.
