I had never really intended to make a Gorean site of my own, but by the will of the Priest Kings events have brought this Keep into bieng. One day not long ago, I was wandering through the web when I came upon a site for BDSM graphics which enchanted me. I had a lot of fun looking through the site, and when I was finished, I decided that I should encourage the girl who ran the site with an e-mail. I only remember mentioning Gor in passing. Two days later, before she even had a chance to e-mail me back, I visited her site and was thoroughly stunned to see a Keep designed and named for myself.

Wiping my eyes, I returned to my e-mail to thank her, where ironically I found an e-mail from her waiting for me detailing where I could find my Keep. After thinking about it for a while, I decided the only true way I knew to thank her was to make the Keep my own. And so Lady Laraa's Keep was born.

Be well in your realm, fair kiss~A. :{-)} I thank you.

This site is geared towards educated Goreans. If at any time you do not know what in the Sardar I am talking about, unless you can find the definitions you need through my links, you're just sleen dung out of luck. *Laraa winks, and then adds:* Fortunately you will find links on my site to information about as many aspects of Gorean life as I could possibly locate--and all of my links are active.

My Keep is taking some getting used to for the peaceful likes of me. The shackles and the quiva were something of a shock at first, but the more I have thought about it, the more I see that The Keep suits me well.

Enough about The Keep already, you wish to know about me, you say, eh? Why, I am flattered by your interest. Ahh...well where to begin. As you may know, the Scrolls mention in passing that not all flora and fauna on Gor come from either Gor or Urth. Such is the case of my family, who first came from a neighboring galaxy. To make a very long story short, before I was born my father fell in with a comparatively civilized crowd who later turned out to be agents of the Priest Kings upon our homeworld. My father eventually petitioned to have his family moved to Gor, and his request was granted. Two months after I was born my mother and father, three brothers, and older sister boarded the ship of aquisition, never to see our homeworld again--much to my parents' delight. Amazingly enough there are some places in the universe more chaotic and strife-ridden than either Gor or Urth.

I am now some 250 years old, but I don't look a day over 27 from what I've been told. The stabilization syrums are like that sometimes. [In literal terms I have been Gorean for 5 or 6 years now, for the curious and the non-Gorean.] My mother and father joined the caste of scribes shortly after bieng transfered to Gor, and as it took nearly three years to reach Counter-Urth, my parents and older siblings had plenty of time to become educated in Gorean customs upon the ship. Upon reaching adulthood and the age where it was necessary to recieve the stabilization syrums, my three older brothers Vlad-Myr, Mok, and Mai-Khol joined the caste of builders, the caste of singers, and the caste of warriors in that order. In time my sister and I both joined the caste of scribes like our parents, however my sister (some four years older than me at the time) died a few months after recieving her injections, as sometimes happens with the syrums.

Some interest has been expressed regarding myself concerning nuptual matters, so I will cover that here. Thus far I have never been Free Companioned. Personally I have always felt that I would have been perfectly happy with an arranged free companionship by my parents, but both my mother and father agreed with one another that it would be more praiseworthy for their children to take up Free Companionships out of love rather than prestige or duty. Once about a century ago I was ransomed, however in response my father raised the value of my dowry, rather than lowering it. "If she's noteable enough to ransom," said he, "Let her Free Companion celebrate the truth of it with our family!" My parents were both of High Caste--The Scribes--my father was an administrator and my mother is a magistrate. I myself am of the Blue Caste as well; my subdivision is the Historians. With the exception of a briefly rebellious adolescence I have always conducted myself with honor, and as such my virtue remains intact. Thus, my dowry is currently 40, 500 Golden Tarsks. The only requirement that has been put upon me by my parents is that I marry within my caste. If you are an adult Gorean male scribe and you are reading this with interest, you may e-mail me to be put in touch with my Protector if you wish to negotiate for my hand.

Ah, you wish to hear more about The Keep again, you say. *chuckle* Well The Keep itself is pretty old from what I know, but our family has been living in it for a little less than a century. My brother Mai-Khol won it for us in the spoils of one of those battles of his. As a fairly high-caste family we have the capital to retain, and the resources to maintain The Keep--River House as it is called--which is a good thing as there aren't all that many Keeps to be found in a relatively small city like Vonda. I currently live here with my mother and several friends of the family who help maintain and defend River House when we aren't working or keeping one another in good company. My father died about a half a century ago, as the syrums gave out on him. My brother Vlad-Myr now lives in Ti, Mok lives in Lara for no other reason that he thinks its incredibly funny to confuse messenger scribes when he writes me letters, and Mai-Khol is rumored to have pledged his sword in service to the Kassar now.

Stop singing "Laraa will not sup in Lara." This is my home and it is NOT funny, really. *Turns in surprise* Mother! Please! I HATE that ditty!!! Mok, I AM going to get you for that!!!"

These signs will bring you to other areas of River House. "Back" will send you to Disneyland if you are not enjoying yourself so far. "Next," for now, will send you to the "Links" page. On the "Links" page you will find links to other Gorean Keeps, Paga Dens, Pleasure Gardens, Plains Peoples, and other people of Gor. "Information" contains a list of links that will help you learn as much accurate Information about Gor as possible. "Scrolls" which doesn't have a whole lot yet, will take you to my personal library of writings. I am not crazy about webrings, but as a Gorean FreeWoman--which can sometimes be rare--I think its necessary to stand up and be counted among my fellow Goreans. And of course you can send me an e-mail by clicking upon the e-mail sign.

I will try to keep all of my links accurate by at least one month, or I will tear River House back down stone by stone, rather than waste your time. Choose your poison!
