SoundScan Sales Figures

SoundScan has released early figures of it's annual year to date album sales. To no surprise to people like you and me, who know good music when they hear it (you wouldn't be here otherwise) unmusical and money oriented band 'NSync has sold 9.83 million copies of its newest album, taking the No. 1 position. Eminem and Britney Spears take No. 2 & No. 3 position.
Rock albums have not sold very well this year. Biggest rock seller this year is Metallica with 3.31 million. Other rock bands like, Pink Floyd which as you know has not had any new material out, has sold 2.01 million, ahead of Dave Matthews Band (1.40 million), Elvis Presley (1.33 million), Frank Sinatra (1.32 million), Led Zeppelin (1.32 million), AC/DC (1.23 million), Bob Dylan (1.19 million) and the Eagles (1.03 million).
