SPECIAL FRIENDS

COONIE and KEEMIE
Radozny V'Asakim Komrovsky - "Keemie"
(Ch Windswept Freedom Echovesna ex Ch. Radozny Babotchka)

Keemie was a wonderful puppy and friend to me. I adored him and he adored me. We had more fun together than a person and puppy should have, and I will never forget his devotion and love for me. Keemie was killed at 10 months of age by his then-veterinarian. He was Coonie's only son, and is pictured at 10 weeks of age with his sire.

A Hound Group winner, Coonie was one of those very special dogs you can never say enough about. He was all-male, with tremendous body and bone, beautiful angles and movement, and an incredibly awesome coat. Coonie's sense of humor was boundless, as was his intelligence. He died at 12-1/2 years of age and is still greatly missed.

(Ch. Echovesna's A Black Russian ex
Ch. Windswept April Love)

Cocoa Prokofiev - "Coco"
(Lanel's Prokofiev ex Natasha von Mensche)

Coco's lines are intense Windswept/Lanel, and this came through in her beauty, angles and heavy coat. Blessed with a devil-may-care personality, I called her Coco-Nut for a reason! She is the dam of the first Komrovsky litter and great-granddam of the second litter.

Khanzade's V'Asmodey Komrovsky - "Mody"
(Ch. Riga's Tiran of Khanzade ex Ch. Khanzade's Black Gambit)
Mody was gorgeous! An accident before 2 years of age compressed several vertebrae, leaving him unsound in front. Nevertheless, he matured into a great dog with intense devotion to me. Mody was the first ever Borzoi in the USA to sire a litter overseas via frozen semen; he is the sire of Komrovsky's first litter, and great-grandsire of the second litter.

Ch. Ristovia's Baron Komar
(Ch. Ristovia's Felwood Boja ex
Ch. Ristovia's Countess Tina)

Komar was my first Borzoi, purchased at 12 weeks of age. He was anything but perfect, but he taught me a LOT about the breed, both good and bad. His devotion to me was legend, and though he detested the show ring, he did all that I asked and then some. He died at 13 years of age.

I helped to "rescue" Finn from an improper owner, and then reconditioned him to the show ring, as a professional handler had nearly destroyed his mind. Once he was healthy, happy and properly trained, he went to Jan Jamison on a co-ownership with me, where he was shown and used at stud.

Kostenov Serafin - "Finnie"
(Kostenov Horatio ex Kostenov Glynnis Johns)

Alray's Casimir Komrovsky - "Pup-pup"
(Am Can Ch Windswept Vassily Komrovsky ex Can Ch Tanin's Foxy Lady)

Casimir was a wonderful ambassador for the breed with his etheral good looks, wonderful sense of humor, and special outlook on life. As Seally's son, he exemplified his sire's beauty and gorgeous dark eyes, something all Komrovsky Borzoi are known for. Casimir died at 11 years of age.
