Double Knitting

Lined Mittens

List-member Carol gives us instructions for lined mittens - THANK YOU CAROL!
Sizes Toddler
[Child's small, medium, large]

Materials: Bulky Weight Yarn 60 [70-80-95] yards
# 8 double pointed needles
# 10 double pointed needles
2 small stitch holders
3 stitch markers (2 of same color and one of another color
Gauge: 3 1/2 stitches equals one inch


Neck-Down Cardigan

List-mom Lorraine is giving instructions for a neck down cardigan for size 1-8 so you can make the size that fits your needs. THANK YOU LORRAINE!

Materials needed:
Yarn:
Worsted Weight for a gauge of 5 st X 7 rows = 1 inch on larger needles These are approx amounts of yarn. Cuffs and neckband can be done in contrasting color
Size 1......................4-5 oz
Size 2......................6 oz
Size 4......................6-8 oz
Size 6......................8+ oz
Size 8......................10-12 oz

Needles:
Size 5 & 7 straight needles
Size 5 & 7 circular needles optional

Neck Down Raglan

List-Mom Lorraine will give the instructions for a neck down raglan for size 1-8 so you can make the size that fits your needs. THANK YOU LORRAINE!

Materials needed:
- Needles size 5 12 inch circular or DP for neck and cuff
- Needles size 7 12 inch circular or DP for sleeves, 16 inch circular and/or (optional), 24 inch circular
- 2 stitch holders
- Markers (yarn will do nicely)
- Yarn Worstered Weight for a gauge of 5 st X 7 rows = 1 inch on larger needles These are approx amounts of yarn. Cuffs and neckband can be done in contrasting color

size 1......................4-5 oz
size 2......................6 oz
size 4......................6-8 oz
size 6......................8+ oz
size 8......................10-12 oz

Short Row Heel and Toe Socks

Our second learning project are short row socks, using Cailleon's own pattern. The socks start with the toe working up to the cuff in one piece using short rows to shape toe and heel - sock will fit infant 0-6 month. THANK YOU CAILLEON!

Here's the Pattern...

Materials needed:

4 double point needles size 3 mm / US size 3
4 double point needles size 2.5 or 2 mm / US size 2
50 gram worsted weight (can be 2 x 25 gram in 2 different colors) to meet a gauge of 1 inch = 6 sts, 7 rows with size 3 needles
1 darning needles to hold piece of spare yarn


Entrelac Hat

As our first joint learning project, list-owner Lorraine started a Entrelac lesson, using Lorraine Majors Entrelac Hat pattern. The project was a great success, many knitters have participated, check out pictures of their wonderful hats. THANK YOU LORRAINE!
