JAKE MORRISON
Created by Barry Reese, Artwork supplied by Kevin Maguire
The current Hawk is Jake Morrison, a former Marine who dropped out of the military when his first enlistment was up, in order to stay in Atlanta with his wife. His father died at age 40 and Jake turned to the military to pay his way through school. Jake is headstrong and often fails to think things through before acting, but is still a very intelligent young man. Jake works as a fitness instructor and teaches several self-defense courses as well. Though he and his wife Sara differ on many things, especially in terms of politics, they are fiercely devoted to one another. Jake sees Hawk as one of the best things that's ever happened to him -- enabling him to actually make a difference in the world and see that criminals aren't allowed to roam free. In Hawk & Dove # 6, it was revealed that Jake contains a portion of Hank Hall's essence within him, granting him access to Hank's memories up to his transformation into Monarch.
SARA MORRISON
Created by Barry Reese, Artwork supplied by Kevin Maguire
Dove is actually Sara Kincaid Morrison, the daughter of Robert Kincaid (a wealthy magazine publisher based out of Atlanta). Sara grew up instilled with her father's liberal ideals and sees the world as a generally good place. Sara works as a social worker, trying to help children and parents overcome the many hardships that they face in life. Sara thinks that Hawk and Dove should stand for something, offering hope for peace and reconciliation to the world. Sara is sometimes blind to the realities of the world, but her optimism helps keep Jake's cynicism in check. She believes in her father's integrity to a fault and is unaware of the extent of his recent dealings with Reginald Keos. When Sara transforms into Dove, her figure and hair color are altered significantly. In Hawk & Dove # 6, it was revealed that Sara contains a portion of Dawn Granger's essence within her, granting her access to Dawn's memories up to her death.
RENATA TAKAMORI
Created by Karl and Barbara Kesel, Artwork supplied by Rob Liefeld
Ren was a photography buff attending Georgetown University during the time that Hank Hall and Dawn Granger were students there. She was privy to their secret identities as Hawk and Dove, frequently aiding them in their adventures. Ren had the misfortune of becoming a host for Kestrel at one point, a nightmare that revisited itself upon her when she moved to Atlanta. Hank Hall's former lover, she proposed to him just days before his transformation into the villain Monarch. Finally giving up hope that he would ever return, Ren has taken a position as staff photographer with Renaissance magazine, run by Robert Kincaid. Ren is friendly and outgoing, and has definite plans to uncover the connection between the current Hawk and Dove and her old friends.
KESTREL
Created by Karl and Barbara Kesel, Artwork supplied by Rob Liefeld
Kestrel is a living spell, crafted by the Lords of Chaos in hopes of tempting Hawk to abandon Dove. Kestrel is able to graft itself onto human hosts, transforming them into faithful servants of Chaos. In the past, Chaos has appeared in both Renata Takamori and Reginald Keos. Incredibly powerful, Kestrel has nearly bested the Hawk and Dove team in every meeting. Though Kestrel seems to have been destroyed, his claims of being able to reclaim former hosts at will make it unlikely that he is truly gone forever.

REGINALD KEOS
Created by Barry Reese
A wealthy Atlanta philanthropist, Keos is actually a servant of the Laughing Dancers, a subset of the Lords of Chaos. He accepted their power in 1863, seeking a way to ensure that the Old South would eventually rise again. Keos is deeply unbalanced, seeking to sow chaos at every turn. He believes that by razing Atlanta once more, he will be able to lead a resurrection of its past. To those ends, he has manipulated Robert Kincaid into betraying his principles and has utilized Kestrel to slay his enemies. Keos is seemingly a vegetable now, his mind having been destroyed by Kestrel's presence.

ROBERT KINCAID
Created by Barry Reese
Publisher and editor of Renaissance magazine, Kincaid is a highly-principled man who seeks to bring knowledge to the masses. Unfortunately, he has proven all-too human at times, running up high debts and having an affair with a secretary in 1982. Robert loves his wife June and his daughter Sara very much, hoping to keep his financial problems a secret from them. Robert found himself under the thumb of Reginald Keos in an attempt to pay off his debts, forced to run a sensationalistic article accusing the city's mayor of various unethical actions.

AZURE
Created by Karl and Barbara Kesel, Artwork supplied by Greg Guler
A mysterious young woman who appeared out of the blue claiming to be the Aztec diety Huitzilopochtli, Azure was obsessed with rebuilding her personal power and once again finding worshippers. In her first outing against Hawk & Dove, she stole a necklace belonging to Dawn Granger's mother, claiming it was an ancient mystical relic. This claim was disputed by the Grangers, who claimed it was a worthless trinket. Nevertheless, Azure managed to transform from a street urchin into her 'true' form. After being defeated, Azure was temporarily incarcerated before breaking free and battling another pretender to the Huitzilopochtli name. Blessed with incredible strength and the ability to fly, Azure claims that she will eventually reclaim her full godhood.

TITANS WEST
Created by Bob Rozakis (pre-Crisis), History Revised (post-Crisis) by Marv Wolfman.
Titans West was a spinoff group from the Teen Titans, formed by the precognitive known as Lility. Lilith brought the group together to end the threat of Mr. Esper, who was using his powers to generate disasters on both the East and West coasts. Titans West was composed of Hawk (Hank Hall), Dove (Don Hall), Lilith, Golden Eagle, Flamebird and Beast Boy. Hawk attempted to lead the group, but the exercise was a total disaster and the team did not remain together for very long. The team banded together again in Hawk & Dove Annual # 1, published in 1990. The team battled a collection of dead villains as part of a scheme led by Etrigan the Demon.

EXTANT
Created by Steve Ditko (Hank Hall); recreated as Monarch/Extant by Dan Jurgens, Artwork supplied by Alan Davis.
Hank Hall was the original Hawk, chosen by the Lord of Chaos T'Charr to take part in the Great Experiment to prove that Order and Chaos could work together. Alongside his brother Don (aka Hawk I), Hank battled crime for many years before losing Don in the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Going slightly insane, Hank embarked on a bloody rampage that was halted only by the arrival of Dawn Granger, the second Dove. With Dawn at his side, Hank once again became a celebrated hero but tragedy would strike once more when a time travelling villain called Monarch came from the future and slew Dove. Learning that he himself was fated to become Monarch, Hank went completely over the edge and adopted the armor and title of the despot Monarch. He later became a master of time and switched his identity to that of Extant. Responsible for the deaths of several members of the Justice Society, Extant was punished by the Spectre in Faux-DC's JSA # 3. He later showed up, however, in Limbo in Hawk & Dove # 6. It is possible that Hank Hall is dead and trapped in this area between life and death, not realizing his own existence should rightfully be over.
