Purr-Day
Winner 2003
 Pepper
Mille: Concatulations
on winning the first March Purr-Day poll Homer!
Mew had a lot of completion even mewr brofur Timmy (who is also furry
handsome...I might add), but mew had the most votes at the end and that's what
counts.
How does it feel
to win? Is this the first poll mew were in?
Homer:
Thanks, Pepper Mille. It
feels purrfect. I offer head bonks to all
who voted fur me. Yes, this is my first entry.
Pepper Mille:
Do mew haf offur brofurs?
Do mew haf a favorite one that mew like to play wif or cudddle up wif?.
Homer: I
have 2 brofurs... Luigi and Timmy Lee, who was also in the
March poll. Luigi and I really do not like each other and exchange looks and
do a lot of boxing. One day almost 4 years ago our Humom went on a little
trip and she came back wif this 4 mos. old orange kitty who, as she splained it
to us, needed a home. Yeah right! His name was Timmy and he came from a town
called Lee Vining so mom made his new name Timmy Lee. He's been pestering us
ever since, but secretly we both like him and clean his head whenever he wants
and I do end up snuggling with him, usually because he has come to lay in the
same spot where I already am! He chases me around and I yowl when I'm tackled so
then mom gets in the action and he gets in trouble. hehe
Pepper Mille:
Are mew adopted? Mew look pretty young, how old are mew?
Homer:
I turned 11 on March 4. I was born in a shopping cart, where my
furmom and dad lived with this homeless couple. My adoptive humom worked across
the street and came over every lunchtime to play with us babies and on my six
weeks old birthday she took me to my new home. Back then mom already had one
kitty, my big sister Jasmine, a grey tabby who has moved on to the rainbow
bridge. She was one sweet kitty. I pestered the heck out of her.
Pepper Mille:
I had a sisfur Bonnie dat also went to the bridge two years ago and I miss
pestering her a lot. Where do mew live? In a cold place or warm? Do mew go
outside?
Homer:
I live in San Francisco, in a fifth floor apartment. I stay inside
except for playing out in the hallway where I like to lay down and pull
myself along the carpet ... and occasionally I go out on the fire escape.
We have a six foot tall cat tree with 5 platforms, a smaller cat perch,
and one of those window-sill hammocks, and lots of windows for bird
watching.
Pepper Mille:
Wow, dat must be a fun tree! Mine has only two levels, but it's in front of a
window where I get to watch da birds in the bird bath.
Pepper Mille:
What is mewr most favorite thing to eat besides kitty foods?
Homer:
I wuv avocado, wish I could have some every day. My mom tries to
cut into it real quiet so she won't have to share, but my radar always tunes in.
I swish around and mew until I get some. Then my 2 brofurs get some too
after I did all the work. I also like plain yogurt, none of that icky fruit
stuff, and butter. I like a little popcorn with TV, but only if it has butter.
Pepper Mille:
I never tried dat, but I luv yogurt too, but mostly vanilla. Who's mewr favorite
hooman in mewr house?
Homer:
That would have to be mom, plus there's no competition.. he he
Even when we have company over I make myself comfurtable on the guest bed, but
when the lights go out, boom.... i'm off to mom's. I try to kick Luigi off
sometimes, but he always comes back. Sometimes if mom gets up in the night we
try to spread out so there's no room for her to get back in the bed. We pretend
to be asleep.
Pepper Mille:
Do mew haf a favorite sleeping place?
Homer:
When it's not night time, My prolly most favfurate spot is in
the cushy recliner, but I catch lots of z's on top of the tall cat tree too. If
I
want to hide away, I go up in the closet on top of mom's sweaters, or is
that sweatfurs. Plenty of fur on them when I'm done.
(not all MY fur,
I'm not the only one who goes up there.)
Pepper Mille:
Is dere anything else mew would like tell us?
Homer:
Franks to mew for sponsoring the
kittie polls... that wuz furry fun and all the kitties wuz cute. I hope to be
romping around for many more years enjoying all this good stuff. especially
avocados.
Head bonks to you, Pepper mille.
It's been really fun interviewing mew.
Thank mew so much Homer.
Send him
congratulations?
